Ive seen other examples of this captain in single pilot operation, as a pilot, I will say with all honor, watching this man fly makes me honest. Makes me want to focus, try harder, and be the best pilot I can be. Damn an ego, this guy is one of the best aviators Ive seen. I would be intimidated at first in the right seat, but if you've got what it takes, you check that, and start learning from one of the best. Godspeed.

I liked the part when you encourage pilots that if they don´t undertand something is better to ask your instructor. 100% agreed with you.

In aviation, no question is to silly or stupid not to be asked.
Flying is a never ending learning process and we all must share our knowledge with fellow pilots.

Guido, your professionalism never ceases to amaze me! As a recently retired Air Traffic Controller with 33 years experience I can assure you that your demeanor is greatly appreciated by ATC and your fellow aviators as well. I applaud you! Best Wishes... and thank you for sharing!

      Thanks for your kind words.
Coming from you as a seasoned ATC it means a lot to me.!
I had recently an opportunity to visit ATC at NY TRACON.
Quite an eye opener. I saw how aircraft are spaced from each other and what an art work ATC conducts to keep this separation until touch down.
A visit to the nearest ATC facility should be a mandatory assignment for every pilot.
      Happy Landings,
      Guido

Answer to "No Rulz" (cannot do directly in UA-cam) :
Yes, single pilot - with quick donning mask - above FL350 an oxygen mask needs to be worn.
If it is a normal mask, it is above FL250.

New subscriber but not new to watching your flight videos. I have learned a great deal from you Captain Guido and enjoy the thoroughness of your flight operations. First thing I learned today was the certification required for a single pilot in a biz jet. The cockpit videos really give a feel of being there. Thank you for providing this on youtube. ~Scott

    • @GuidoWarnecke
      @GuidoWarnecke  9 років тому

      A. Scott Dean Thank you very much, Scott!
Some jets are certified to be flown single pilot and you can get "single pilot type rating". I have this for the CJ2.
The C560 is not certified for single pilot operation, but the FAA gives you an exemption if you do a yearly simulator course for it.
Thanks for subscribing & happy landings,

It means you are cleared as per the route on your submitted flight plan which is always nice but not always possible. Your IFR flight plan is activated once you call ready for departure and ATC release you. As ATC have already activated your flight plan you don't need to call FSS once airborne.

Thank you for the reply, lieber Guido!
    I`m so free, `cause i`m allready 53.
When i was training for my IFR in Vienna and USA (New York and LA) , i had the same idea of filming the whole IFR flight in a Cessna 210. But that was 1987. So you made reality , what was my idea.
I stopt flying ( also its one of the best things , you can do in your live) because I got family and in Europ its terrible expensive as you know.
So I am waiting for a Lotterie jackpot to proceed my flying .
Entschuldige lieber Guido , daß ich so lang geschrieben habe .
    Du machst die Sache einmalig!

Pretty interesting to see the procedure. At first, I wasn't sure why the O2 would be required, but when you remind us that there are 6 seconds of O2 at FL450, it makes total sense. If something were to happen, you would need to be all set ahead of time. Thanks for the reminder!
