I am thinking of getting the KO motor but I have a stock battery on my light bee ~ would you still recommend it even if I am keeping the stock battery?
The KO will last forever at stock power, because you can only get a max of 8kw out of the stock battery. The KO motor can do 20kw constant, so your battery will be the bottle neck.
So Can I run a KOmotor with my bac8000? I’m not going to do it right now because I’ve already spent $12,400 on mods not including the bike and I just don’t t have the time to fuck around with the tuning. Once the technology is there to where I don’t t have to spend all day dialing it in, I’ll pull the trigger on it . The reason I want it is because if I was to hop on the highway and run it wide open at 70mph+, I don’t have to worry about the motor cutting out. Can you get those speeds out of a KO and can they take the power from the bac8000?
Ebmx are working on a tune for BAC's but there is no need because KO have now fix all the issues we legit tested the last hex file from KO today and it feels amazing exactly like the ebmx tune. NO ONE'S GOING TO BE BUYING BAC ANY MORE.There poorly made and like 10 years old the KO controller is so much higher quality and more powerful
@@progressive_e so you’re saying I should toss the ebmx controller and buy the KO motor AND the KO controller? Will all of the tuning and what not be done when I get it because I don’t want to do it myself?
@@lukepowell7623 KO have a plan in place for people who do not want to do there own tuning. They have a discord channel too assist with the tuning and can basically walk you through everything if needed.
Did you guys tune the controller just like the EBMX 15KW tune? I just want to know if you guys are going to try to use the EBMX tune on a BAC8000 with the KO motor also. Thanks in advance for your reply!
Hey mate We have EBMX ASI controllers. Both BAC4000 and 8000 on 15KW. Unfortunately due to the nature of ASI the controllers are locked. If we had BACDoor access we would definitely try a tune with the KO. As we have the KO controller I can't really justify paying the same amount of money for BACDoor sorry. I'm hoping EBMX have a tune for this motor shortly though 👍 It's an animal of a motor, it's nearly twice as fast as the stock motor on 15KW with zero over heating issues!
Not yet, some people have other controllers running them though. The KO motor uses an encoder for the hall sensor. As the BAC is pretty old in tech standards it requires a converter to make it function.
@@SwarmMcReynolds it's definitely not a Fardriver at all. All Kelly, Fardriver etc all run the same parameters that you can change with the same names. It's engineered in China and the KO team make other products for the Chinese market so the software has to be something locals understand. You can still use your phone for tuning but PC is needed for the Hex. New software is on the way though. ASI BAC is still a great product no doubt at all, it works absolutely perfect. But it's the same as a 5 year iPhone, even with the updates it's still 5 year old hardware for example.

What size sprocket are you running with the KO set up?
60 Tooth

Would it increase speed and power on a stock battery?
Maybe slightly but you'll be limited by 8KW maximum output from that battery.
