i have done it before......its the feeling you get from the nostalgia,i get the same feeling i got sitting on the floor of my living room in atlanta ga watching tbs channel 17 i always loved rick rude still do
Rude was one of the best performers and heels ever in wrestling he never got his respect of how good he was especially in the wwe in my opinion he could have a huge star in that company if given a chance at least wcw used him right it's a shame he got hurt and his career was over because he and Sting had a great fued going so many other matches he could have had R.I.P
I only discovered this a few years ago...but genuinely - in my opinion it's on equal par with the best wrestling themes in my opinion. 💪💪 Also, Rick was equal to any heel that ever was or will be.
it takes a while to enjoy it, but considering that he wasnt the heel he was and more of a manager-type superstar its more suited since it still expresses his persona in a more 'formal' format.
I think he was on the rise. 1988 - 1990 Rude was coming into his own. By 1990, he was a legit main eventer, they just wouldn't pay him like one. WCW was all the better for WWFs mistake.
Wow, wrestling was really behind the times. As an intro song for a wrestler, fine, no problem. Works. If it's the 80s. This was the one he used between 1991 and 1994. The synthesizer work is straight out of the previous decade. EMF's pop rock song Unbelievable was released in October 1990 for comparison. Sure, there were 80s styled pop rock songs with synth that crept into the 90s, for sure, but they almost never reached the top of the charts. We know they can do it and be current. WWF went from a lot of 80s music all the way up until 1997-98 and then suddenly they were doing music that sounded very current. It's not a bad song. I just hear it and I instantly understand why wrestling dipped in popularity in the early 90s. The presentation wasn't keeping up with the times. WCW in 1993 was doing their "New Blood on the Block" initiative, which was obviously a reference to the New Kids on the Block - who were on the verge of breaking up at that point, and even their music had changed by the end of their run. It's always interesting to go back and see where wrestling was at around this time because I didn't watch wrestling when I was 11 and 12 years old. TV was banned.
The thing is that Rick Rude's gimmick was straight out of the 80s and not really suited to a 90s kind of theme. The man himself was ahead of the times in how he presented himself being one of the first guys to cut the mullet early and cut down on the more cheesy parts of his entrance, but that gimmick wasn't going to suddenly morph into a 90s equivalent so he was better off with an 80sish theme song. Even his ECW theme was just an updated version of his WWF theme which okay I guess that was "90s", but even then it was just the classic stripper music on an electric guitar. What on earth would Rick Rude come out to with a 90s sound that would fit him?
@@freebachelor5060 You're right, Rude was one of the earliest wrestler to cut his mullet, him and Dynamite Kid even though Kid cut his in 84. That is correct, his gimmick was too 80's but at the same time, it was pretty gritty. The same goes for Flair.
this is the greatest theme of ALL TIME
❤️ this song 🎶😍😍
Agreed.

This is the greatest most underrated theme song in wrestling history. I want someone now to come out to this, it doesn't matter who
I agree 100%. Heard it the first time a month ago and I’ve listened more than a few times since then.
Maybe Bobby Roode when he comes back, he can learn how to do the Rude (Roode) awakening.
WCW themes from the early 90s is iconic, I like how they incorporated lyrics, instead of just a generic theme.
I’ve been listening to this on a daily basis lately

Rude with the brown suit and the brown-leather Big Gold is a good look
"What I'd like to have right now..."
Rick rude has always been my favourite wrestler and his awesome moves.
Is it me or was this just a damn good song!!!!
A pure classic.
Gone so young. Pure heel at its best. Should have had a WWF title reign.
RIP Ravishing Rick Rude you were as will always be a LEGEND!!!
The Original Alpha Male of Professional Wrestling.
Amazing. Great theme, can't stop listening to this. One good thing about his WCW run was definitely the song! Underrated theme.
he was my favourite wrestler of all time

Gone but not forgotten
This is a damn good theme. Thanks for posting this!
His best theme
Underrated theme
It's like his version of Shawn Michael sexy boy theme by Sherry
Like everything WCW did, this is low quality and sounded cheap and generic. This sounds like a silly sitcom from the 80s.
@@based9930 More like a Tina Turner ripoff

Honestly I like this one better than his WWF/WWE theme

Fun Fact this song is sung by Jackee aka Sandra of 227
Annd she sung 2 cold Scorpio theme!
Thanks i been trying to find out who sing this for the last 30 minutes
Wcw Rude crushes WWF Rude. Wwf misused him.
Na he had great I.C. run
Until the warrior came along

@@erickennedy8534 i mean he had, my good fellow sir.
Agreed 💯
I remember Rick Rude when he was teaming with Manny Fernandez in 1986 before he went to the wwe then he came back too WCW in 1991
WWF!!!
Rick Rude and Rick Martel were the best playboy heels in wrestling.
Shawn Michaels has entered the chat:
And people thought that the Hulk theme that became the Bonnie Tyler song "Ravishing" wouldn't have worked for RRR.
REST IN PEACE RAVISHING RICK RUDE

A lot of the songs from that WCW CD were hot trash, but this and Sting's song just happened to be iconic
Love that song who sing that song.

Imagine him having this in wwf
That would’ve been awesome

Shame Lizzo won’t get to perform this again after being cancelled.
Lizzo is the Embarrassment of Anything. Also, I have no idea as to why she and Jack Black were in a StarWars episode.
DEAR GOD GIVE US BACK RAVISHING RICK RUDE AND WILL GIVE U CHRIS MASTERS !!!
No god we will give konnor and Viktor not Chris Masters
Because we can have Chris Masters vs ravishing rick rude

It is Tina Turner. Her brother owned WCW and he asked Tina to sing Rick Rude's them as a favor.

He stole flairs belt
This roid hound was never wcw champion
WCW wasnt using that belt as their main title at the time, this was part of the ill-fated NWA "revival" of 92-93.
