Can you improve the quality of your sleep, destress, enhance your focus and boost your mood with a pair of headphones?
    Well my guest says yes!
On this episode, I speak with Dr. Daniel Cartledge, an interventional pain physician at the National Pain Institute. Along with his brother, Dr. Richard Cartledge, he invented and patented Xen headphones.
These special earbuds are designed to actually stimulate the vagus nerve - which you’ve heard me talk about in my books. It is the communication pathway between your brain and your other organs.
On this episode, we talk about the science behind Xen and how your brain relates to your overall health.
    On this episode you’ll learn:
What your EARS have to do with experiencing feelings of euphoria - and what you can do at home to feel more relaxed and happy (1:33)
How aging changes the “balance in your brain” - and what you can do about it (5:48)
How pain management has dramatically changed over the last few decades - and what it might mean for your health (6:45)
Dr. Cartledge’s trick for supporting his focus, mood, and even brain health (and how you can try it right from home) (8:30)
Why you may want to consider this “headphone-like” device before getting vagus nerve surgery (10:54)
How your vagus nerve is connected to your digestive system (and how their relationship can help you lose weight) (14:16)
The trick athletes do to help them recover faster in just 30 minutes - and how to try it for yourself (25:00)

You can get balance frin breathing in with the right nostril , blocking the left , then block the right and exhale with the left , breathe in the left , block the left and exhale in the right and so on for the 2 nervous system ! This is a breathing technique thought by Maharishi Mahesh yogi in his TM Sidhis méditation program and it does bring a profound balance

Yes, plus Left Nostril is equated to Moon & Right nostril with the Sun. If u wan sleep deep breathe in from d left & if u wan be active then breathe from Right nostril

Doesnt the vagus nerve respond to freqs that travels to the brain that control thoughts besides major organs & sensors ?? for example using electromagnetic freqs being manipulated thru the rectum.

Research shows that magnesium helps greatly with headaches, and migranes in particular. I love Magnesium Malate, but Threonate may be even better! You have to take it daily in higher doses

    • @dec20
      @dec20 2 роки тому

I love magnesium, I've been taking for 5 month so far now. Strange my GP never suggested magnesium supplement before, she just prescribed propranolol and Triptans but I had side effects like insomnia a few years back so I had to stop. If you dig into youtube or online you discover more information and become a doctor of your own . I will certainly try magnesium malate, thank you! I had insomnia and high blood pressure, doctors prescribed meds but never suggested to make any changes into my health so again I researched and started intermittent fasting and lost 3 stone within 4 month, bp insomnia all normalised, I'm off from bp meds and tablets for underactive thyroid.

Dr I have a genetic high cholesterol. I have a healthy weight, I eat low fat low carb( around 100g carb/day) no vegetables. Because of my genetic situation, will eating a high fat low carb diet help melt the cholesterol? Im also getting a more detailed cholesterol blood work tomorrow.
