good observation! mixing a separate raptor color for the trim would have been ideal for longevity/durability of the finish, however the Owner did not want to take that extra step so a single stage base was applied. hope that clears up your curiosity.
Did you going into a rental spray booth? And if so can you drop that details on that place? I’m in souther California. And from the color of the street signs I assume you are too! Greatly appreciated!
Im sure they sprayed the raptor in the window where you can spray another coat without sanding. Just like you dont sand between coats or spraying clear.

Im curious will the trim come out with that glossy color? If you paint it black like the rest of the truck?
Sure, will also depend type of paint you go with, but yes if you wanted to match the sheen,
You definitely could!
@@builddrive7023 thank you!
Eyyyyyyy truck looking super good a
How many bottles of Raptor Liner did you guys end up using?
I have an Avalanche and have been thinking about doing this.
C L R 2 kits of raptor liner so 8 bottles! we did 2 coats of it 👍🏼
@@builddrive7023 so 8 bottles will do 2 coats? Nice. Thanks so much.
Yes 4 bottles will do one full coat.
8 bottles for 2 coats.
It’s a good idea to shoot base if you a doing a color change.
@@builddrive7023 no color change. My truck is black and im just gonna go with black raptor liner.
C L R ok, no primer required. Do give the paint a nice scuff to promote better adhesion.
How's it going? I live in oc and wanted the same thing done to my truck. Do you still do paint jobs?
Ofcourse, Dm me at build_drive for more info.
Or give me a call at 833 289 9742
Why didn't you mix up separate raptor colors instead of painting over the raptor liner? Just curious.

What color raptor did you use?
RACING RED
PMS: 200 C
HEX COLOR: #BD162C;
Thank you. That’s a custom color through Raptor?
no, Raptor is available in a factory black color & a tintable base also for you to mix in any color of your choice, hope that helps! @@DrHughWegwerth
Looked better with all red
How well did the liner adhere to the plastics? I'm looking to do this on my dual sport plastics. Thanks!
Liner bonds pretty good, make sure you scuff it up real nice 👍🏼
How many raptor liner kits did it take to do the truck
2 kits, 8 bottles total.
Did the base coat adhere to the body cladding long run?
Could you rephrase that?

We are located in Los Angeles CA
Yes, we do customers cars!
Dm on Insta @build&drive for info.

Was it the blood red
It’s the racing red color! 👍🏼
you sanded the truck, then painted over it with the base coat.. then you raptor lines it.. you should have sanded again after you laid the base coat.
I have not come across any benefits by sanding base coat before applying raptor liner.
Would you elaborate a bit on that?
Im sure they sprayed the raptor in the window where you can spray another coat without sanding. Just like you dont sand between coats or spraying clear.
Gotta love Mexicans

Black and red would be a great combination. Nardo is a new color black goes with any color
Nah fam this doesn't look good in my opinion you would have been better going with a nice metallic white or black
Where r u located I want 2 do that 2 my Avalanche but all red and what do u charge 2 do that?? Thanks let me know
Holy hell that's the worst paintjob I've ever seen, halfa$$ and colors are horrible..scrapyard wouldn't even buy that truck
