@@2012Rage1yes I have and I recommend using spray paint over the raptor after it’s cured it soaks it up and don’t flake off too. I did one on this channel about 5yrs ago on the Warhawk g35 build I highly recommend checking that video series out.

Beautiful work on this truck brother!! It is very mean looking in that purple! When you have a vision of the car in your head, you just have to make it a reality. When you pulled it in the garage you can see the flakes in the clear nice job. Also the grill inserts should get done in black and maybe the lip. Nice job my friend!!
Yup grill inserts were on the list along with door handles and tow hooks. The lower lip was always planned to go black but someone suggested I do it purple to see how it looks.
Tip: dilute 2 of those quarts and spray through a regular gun then texture with the remaining ones. Works great , you can do a full-size extended cab with 6 qts

How does that compressor work for duty cycle.....I understand that it will run constantly most likely but do you ever run out of air or lose enough pressure that the paint/raptor can't atomizer properly???? Everyone says you need 20+ gallons and $750 minimum compressor to do a whole car. I just drive civic's.

@@JamesDguy yeah the show we were gonna be having fell apart. Fire department let wrong person organize it and it fell apart. Just got minor things to do left on civic now like fluids exhaust and shift linkage. Got the engine in with the 1.5in lift on it. Talk about pain n the rear lol had to take motor back out just to clearance for the crank pulley to not rub.
Wonderful work. I do have to mention allegedly 2k products over 1k will cause issues. That’s what the reps say but I am sure you’ll be fine for a while. I’m up north so when I raptor lined a real bad truck I ended up grinding the paint off super fast with 80, as the truck had many layers. Followed up with etch and sealer. Again wonderful work I’ve yet to get the tintable kind.
Sometimes it does cause issues but I have used 1k paint with 2K over it and had awesome success but as for the other way around it hasn’t had issues yet but mostly just did a dust coat nothing crazy and its bonding great so far. Also yeah you don’t have to go bare metal with raptor but just has to scuffed really well for good abrasion and this tintable stuff is awesome!
I see also now u dry sand your primer. Because I always wet sand it and smooth as glass. Because my father always say I must dry-sand , if I wet sand and it's smooth my paint will peel off , according to him ...?
Dry sand is my go to for bedliner for smooth paint jobs like high gloss smooth i like to wet sand so I don’t go too far and leave too much sand scratches. Your dad isn’t wrong though you want it to have some bite so paint sticks but just depends that grit your using mostly
Purple is my favorite color, like it darker, but your truck looks pretty good. Now just add some black D window wheels with yellow letter tires and give it the NASCAR look. Thanks for the witness and scripture. People may complain, most don't like hearing truth.

With the spare ones I had left over from another job I did 9 total but it wouldn’t have needed near as much if I did a base coat first that matched the top coat. Might start spray gun painting the base coat to match the color im doing out of raptor to lessen the amount needed. This is one of thickest raptor jobs I have ever done but its durable
I don’t do these for people until I have a proper place to do it. Bugs, humidity, it rains a lot here I wouldn’t want someone else vehicle to get ruined by the elements. Still don’t have a shop built yet.
Well I was thinking inside the bed it would have actually looked nice if it was black but if you're gonna put water in there and you can see the color of the back of the bed then blue to make the water look clean ✨️🛻✨️💫❤️🔥💯😎🙏 19:53

I used raptor liner when i did the Claret wine color over the rustoleum. I didn't thin any of the raptor liner i have done.

For a proper spray gun you need a good compressor but for raptor liner it never drops too low for use.

I think those black wheels are ok
Except they are bent and need replaced and tires are too big and rub the fenders even with them fenders adjusted.

It’s tintable raptor it’s a milky white color until you add your own paint to it.

It’s going black in the bed but they have pools that are made for truck beds that’s what im gonna be doing
Looks like it needs a few more coats of clear to make it gloss... right now, at least on the video, looks satin.
