Good job learned a lot by looking at your video, looking forward doing my Dodge Ram 2500. In the inside of the doors you used spray can how did it turn out? Any suggestions for a first time DIY? Thanks!
It actually turned out pretty good. Definitely sand the clear coat and use the degrease cleaner for better results. Take your time with the prep, that makes a difference.
@@marinevetgarage9101 I was gonna ask if you were here in Dallas but I scrolled & saw you answering someone else that you are. I have been thinking to get my 4 Runner in Raptor Liner because it's a 2002 & although it still shines & looks really good of course normal wear n tear is showing on the original paint job has happened. Is there a way I can talk to you about what you'd charge & time you'd need to do mine? I really like your work.
I like what you did a lot. I bought an Avalanche with the red raptor liner paint. I really like that midnight blue. Do you think I can just spray directly over it with blue raptor liner?
That's a great question, and I've considered doing it. I think you could and you would have a thicker coat. I've considering doing a video of spraying a regular coat of paint (no Raptor) to change the color.
The amount of material depends on the size of the vehicle. To do the full truck it took about 4 gallons (4 kits). This includes the bed. I get it from a local auto paint store, but you can find it on eBay. If you want to get a specific color, make sure you buy the tintable.
I really like your video sir very helpful,I buy 1 kit of tintable but I don't wanna used the upol 3oz black coat paint cause when I mix it with the tintable it look grayish I need a very dark black do you have any suggestions pls?
That truck was my first raptor. Lost some footage, but will be Raptoring all the plastics this weekend. Stay tuned for that video. Thanks for subscribing.
Nice JOB! I'm still searching for my favorite blue ... so far it's Raptor Navy Blue UPO4861. But I also like UPOL (Custom Coat - Insignia Blue Federal Standard Color 25045 - T85) or (Custom Coat - Navy Blue Federal Standard Color 35048 - T87). I really only have 3 stock choices. If you don't mind, what is your color code and what brand tint did you choose? Also, how many bottles of Raptor did you actually use? I think I may buy 3 (4 bottle kits). I have a Dodge Magnum wagon (midnight blue) and I plan to spray two coats, the whole car. The Magnum in this video was too bright blue for my taste... But the texture is perfect! I was able to track down the guy who actually painted it at (advancedcustomcoats on IG). facebook.com/raptor.usa.official/videos/1149359845198471/
@@marinevetgarage9101 - So just to be clear, 3 (4 bottle kits)? I may do an 8 bottle and 4 bottle kit to save money, not sure yet. I just feel like 8 is cutting it too close. Last, would you buy a HVLP gun or go with Raptors Shutz gun 4880 for a finer texture? Thanks for your help!
@@350Zquicksilver go with 12 bottles (3 kits) to be on the safe side. That's about a qt of paint to mix. And i use the the gun that comes with the kit. The raptor gun i have found to be good enough. For texture i keep the compressor at about 80psi. To keep the gun clean, I I run thinner through it about every 3 bottles.

All the paint you used in the video you got raptor liner? Can you let me know everything you got please I wanna do my k1500 same color
Looks really good! Can't wait to see what else you can do! Best part about the video was watching you sand away the Cowboys logo 😃

Looks badass. Doing a rubbish removal truck in fleet white, with black bed liner.
How much to do my 2003 Chevy Avalanche in black liner? I'd want to do the body cladding too. Eager to hear back from you!
Average cost for DIY cost is approximately $600.
@@marinevetgarage9101 Thanks! Could you do it for me? If so, what would you charge?

Have you tried just buying the black raptor, instead of mixing it.
Love that color
Nice job! With texture!
Thanks.
Thanks for the advice.
I just want my 05 Avalanche to look factory and evidently they don’t make red sport metallic anymore?
What's the color code? Wonder if local paint shop can make it
How many kits did you usr
For the truck used 2, but that was pushing it. It's ideal to plan for 3 kits. For the bed, one kit will do.
Did any paint reach the parked cars in the background??????????lol
Lol. Yes, a little over spray on the Mercedes.
Looks velvet
Bro you make good vids
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Best part of the video?
Removing that wack ass cowboys sticker.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Cool dad very cool
Do a red one
That needed one more coat for sure. Otherwise, good job for what you were working with.
Thanks. For sure. This was our first full project, we under calculated how much material we needed. However, once it dried well, it looked good.
The bumpers should be in black

I went to the local paint shop and asked for the GM Midnight Blue code 16345D. We used 3 kits at 4oz of paint per bottle.
