Each villain organization in the DKC series feels like each has their place in the Kongs’ history. The Kremlings are of course the natural enemies, and the most persistent. The Tikis feel like they’ve been around since the beginning of time, and the Snowmads feel the most like complete strangers, genuine foreign invaders.
I like to think the Tiki-Tac's are spiritually immortal and will always exist as long as there is music in the world, as if there the embodiment of music itself! Who knows, maybe they where born from the fist song, and maybe that song is there trance!
Well the Snowmads obviously came from the north like the Mushroom Planets Version of Arctica or from really South the Antarctica Version and already conquered many island around the DK Isle before they went there. Tiki Tong yeah exists probably since a really long time, I guess the DK Isle originally was the home of the Tiki Tribe far far in the Past. The Kremlins original home was the northern Kremisphere before they got kicked out of there in the Kremearian War and went to Crocodile Island.
@just wanted to come here months after reading this reply. I beat the entire game again in mirror mode. It wasn't easy. But I did it. Now I play the boss fight in mirror mode all the time for fun lol.

i remember this song always made me feel weirdly melancholic and spiritual as a kid... i'd die and restart just to listen to the opening again and again. maybe one of my favorite themes ever
I'm going to say it: Donkey Kong Country Returns is my fave game in the entire series. Better than the original SNES trilogy I played growing up. Better than Tropical Freeze. There's just something about it that makes it one of my favourite games of all time.
I can totally hear the Metroid Prime inspiration here from the composer Kenji Yamamoto. The sound font with the deeper choir sounds identical to the Prime music to me.
i was like 7 when i did this level for the very first time and i can't even pass the rocket part . 8 years later i finally did this level and beat this boss when i remember all the good memories this game give me it almost make me cry
I have spent hours every day consuming DKCR content for about two weeks now in hype for the HD Switch port. This is one of my childhood games, one of my first games. I’m loving it. I listen to this every day.
Honestly, despite the build up, the tension, and the excitement, this was one of the worst boss fights in the game. The only reason it isn't the worst in my eyes is because the Pinchin' Pirates exist. Still fun though, just one of the least fun of the group.
This is probably my favorite theme of any video game I have ever played, and Pokémon has some great music. This is just different, truly feels like the game is coming to an end

They were created by Tiki Kong, the jester for the first king of Kong Island.

I remember just being fascinated by the background...that and the music literally felt hypnotic, just like in the game!
Yeah that was amazing
Although I never played this game, hearing this theme makes me feel like I did this battle and won with great difficuty

how old are you
The only thing that makes this one of the best bosses, is the music, and how it builds up every boss you faced
The former ruler of Donkey Kong Island (or whatever it was called in the far past) is mighty pissed!
this music hypes up the boss so much then it's just kind of easy
@ it's one of the single biggest stereotypes you could have as a video game boss, the head and hands boss, so that's debatable
