Same. Lol. I do whats called the “FJ Wave”, meaning I stick my hand/arm out the very square window and wave like I lost my Mom in the store. Seems to work most of the time. Other times I look crazy. I dont care, though, I’m in a lifted FJ. Lol. Another joke my family and I have is “WHAT ROADS? WE’RE IN AN FJ”. Works every time. Lol
Seems that FJ Cruiser owners rarely know that the headliner above the driver and front passenger's head is a pair of flat panel audio speakers. Better than cool, it's kewl.
I believe it's the rear channel. If you have rear pillar speakers you may hear those as well if you fade rearward. The ceiling panel speakers are very subtle.
I originally did this and then fell in love with the whole thing. After I lifted it and put 33’s on it. I fell in love all over again. The wipers still make me giggle. And I hope one day someone will ask me about them, because I particularly think they are the coolest trait of the FJ, since not a single other vehicle on the road has 3 wipers on the windshield. :D
I am 82 yrs old and have a 2008 FJ with 82000 miles and love the thing. We also have a 2015 LAND CRUISER, I enjoy driving the FJ MOST. Both use lots of gas ..but are worth it.
One of the best vehicles I ever owned. It had blind spots but you get used to it. Tons of head room. The 4.0L was a Way better engine than the newer Toyota 3.5L that came in the Tacoma I had after the FJ. The rear locker and atrac front was very capable off road. It was unique you didn't see them on every street corner like I did when I had Tacoma. Rolling in a new Jeep Gladiator Rubicon which it is very cool and feels unique like the FJ was. Hold on to that FJ you will miss it if you sell it. :(
Another feature not mentioned is that if you're lucky enough to have one of the few FJs with a manual transmission, then you also have a torsen center differential, and you're always in 4WD, like an Audi. This makes a huge difference during sudden changes in traction, because the front/rear torque split is both fully mechanical, and fully automatic, always adjusting for ideal traction. Bottom line: the only thing better in the snow than an FJ with a manual is a full-on snowmobile.

I don't think I was so disappointed in my life since I was so stoked to pick one up.

Awesome! As much as I love the 3 dancing wipers on the front, nothing beats the wiper at the rear. I mean, it's little more than a tooth brush! This vehicle screams confidence. Up yours, Jeep owners!! G'day from Australia :)

So many people love it. It's true that it's very particular in terms of style, so Japanese from my perspective, but that's exactly the point is car to be in love with. It's not my style I must confess, but I will like it to return.
Added bonus is that the Fj is a very nice car to drive, it’s smoother, quicker more nimble than other proper 4WD I’ve been in. All the others are slower and more truck-like including Toyota Forerunner, Landcruiser 200 series and Prado, Pajero, Jeep, Nissan Patrol, Ford Ranger, MuX and Hilux etc. Fuel consumption on the highway is surprisingly good too if you drive it at about 105kmh …I get around 28mpg at that speed. Town mileage for me is around 20-23mpg. My FJ is a 2014 model and is unmodified other than factory roof rack and TJM T13 Bullbar with spotlights.

It’s because it’s the best car ever made, mines an original 2007, 3rd one in NY, the only thing to ever go was the alternator and that was recently. 16 years and still a BEAST

Owned many SUVs but FJ Cruiser is the true jack of all trades, fun to drive on road and does everything off road and with reliability. On road it doesn't feel like a truck and has true handling sans the vague steering of other SUVs.
Hey man! Fun video. I just bought my FJ yesterday. Long wait for someone to sell what I wanted lol. Do you have a video or somewhere you list all the mods you have in detail?
The three wipers are different sizes and the windshield is short and thin to allow for the "roll cage" inside the body that helps give us a better chance in a rollover.
In 2018 I bought a 2007 with 173,000 miles on it and now I’m at 194,000 miles on it and I absolutely love it I’ll never sell it. She still going strong and people always, on how it looks like it’s brand new even though I’ve modded it and I absolutely beat the shit out of it.
I understand that completely and I purchased a 4Runner. I just chose to keep the FJ and have both. The 4Runner is a much better vehicle for family shenanigans and my kid appreciates the rolling window and four doors for what it's worth.
Just bought a 2008 Fj Trail teams edition, stick shift, pretty much fully loaded with all the options I know about for these with about 175k miles and I could not be happier! I’m a jeep guy through and through but I totaled my last car which was an awesome 2 door wrangler, also stick shift and only had a budget of 14k usd to get a replacement. So I chose the Fj because there was no way I was going to find a jeep wrangler 2 door with a manual and locking diffs at my price point, and if i did it would most likely be a high milage pre 2013 model with the leaky and unreliable 3.8 that i was trying to get away from, but the FJ had all the goodies I needed as was looking for with that bulletproof 4 liter V6. There was just no other car that could have come close and in the week that I’ve owned it i’ve had so much fun. PLUS THE THREE WINDSHIELD WIPERS!!!!
How many miles does everyone have on their FJ?

2011 85k bought it on 2012 with 10k. Stopped using it as my daily in mid 2018 and happy I did.
It is just an awesome all around car, undeniable and if you aren’t a Jeep fan. there aren’t many “collectible” off road vehicles until this came onboard.
Was looking for some FJ info, stumbled over your channel - content is on a high level, respect!
It’s because it’s the best car ever made, mines an original 2007, 3rd one in NY, the only thing to ever go was the alternator and that was recently. 16 years and still a BEAST
I love my FJ! Things I love about it? I actually love the little things, like the locking shock on the rear door and the compartment in front of the steering wheel. Easily, that dash compartment is the coolest thing I've ever found in a vehicle
Dude you're the guy from Hawaii! So cool! I watch your videos about the FJ and all the modifications haha. What a small world
@@stokedtour lol yeah, that's me. I just stumbled across your channel and was checking it out. I'm so behind on videos :( I've bought so many things and still need to make the install videos
Haha awesome man. Your videos helped me out so much. Excited to see what's coming!
@@stokedtour sigh, when I have the time. Hopefully soon though. I'm building a 2jz for a different project video series I'll be starting too, but I want to finish my other video plans first
2012 trail edition in red is my fav. I know of three of them for sale right now.
Love my Red 2012 MT Trail Teams
@@mcelroychandler6267 as far as I know they only made 1200 of them. They are the best!
I don't even own an FJ and this was great. I do however own a Land Rover Discovery 2 and I feel the same way about it.
My FJ is at 238,000 miles for my Canadian friends 382,023 Kilometres. Runs like a dream!
I got lucky I just bought one 6 months ago. Love your videos
Welcome to team "NOT SELLING"! And thanks!
My fj is part of my life. Ii will be mine forever
welcome to team "NOT SELLING"!
Our FJ was totaled. Bought in ‘08 brand new, perfect condition even after beatings in the Arabian desert. We got another one
Dang wish I’d seen this before I bought my Taco. Good video! Nice energy.
I have a 1975 FJ-40 and it is a beast. I won’t sell it either.
Do you live in the north? And if you do how has your frame been holding up on a vehicle that old?
Man I loved this rig, I had a tuff decision to make back in 2019, unfortunately I opted for the cabin space and got me a tundra TRD pro but man I would love to get one of these! My entire fam has wranglers would love to shit on them with an FJ lol cool vid man got another sub here
Haha thanks and glad you enjoyed it ✌ Get the Tundra a brother!
Lol, you wouldn't "shit" on any jeep offroad, maybe on pavement, but now the jeeps are amazing on the road too so...
i own a 2007 FJ it is the most reliable vehicle that i ever own never been to a garage beside maintenance it cost me $58,00 in repair the Panasonic battery did last 13 years can't ask for more the only weakness are the o2 sensor.
2007 110k miles, sun fusion here, 3inch lift 34inch tires, takes me wherever i want to go, never selling it.
2008 black pearl automatic with factory power inverter. Coolest and best vehicle I’ve owned
i've always wanted one of these!
Yeah me too but, now they want a lot of money for even the used ones
tried to buy one in 2010...the wait was 3 months. I now drive a 2020 4 runner which has same powertrain as the Fjcruiser.
Mines been through some shit and it keeps going. My fiancee told me I'm never allowed to sell mine lol
The coolest feature in my 2022 FJ is the built in air compressor, it’s very much functional❤
I’m 16 from Australia and my dad has a 2015 fj he’s never selling and I’m so glad he’s not because one day I’ll have it I can’t wait there one of the best 4x4’s ever made
That’s so awesome!
Totally on point!
I checked to make sure I was subscribed after the wiper blade music video. That shit cracked me up!
LOOOL the choreo was the hardest part
My friends fj is going to 300k miles and he always travels and takes it off roading. Snow, mud, mountains anything you can through at it.
Owned many SUVs but FJ Cruiser is the true jack of all trades, fun to drive on road and does everything off road and with reliability. On road it doesn't feel like a truck and has true handling sans the vague steering of other SUVs.
It's the jack of all trades AND the master of all!
@@stokedtour if its an automatic, oil cooler highly recommended.
My 2008 FJ has 260+ KM on it and still running great.
Haha def gonna’ subscribe & my dream car is the FJ cruiser.
Just bought an 08. 142,000 mi. Runs and looks like a new one.
@@kenstoner1756 CONGRATS sir!
Hey man! Fun video. I just bought my FJ yesterday. Long wait for someone to sell what I wanted lol. Do you have a video or somewhere you list all the mods you have in detail?
I think so! There’s a playlist on my channel that has all the videos together ✌🏼
Been telling myself I’m going to buy one ever since I test drove on e in 2012. Think I’ll finally pull the trigger on a new 2023 model!
Sick! Great vid, I've always loved the look of an FJ! I personally just want that V8 in a Gx470/60 or an older Landcruiser!
4 runner and cruiser are more practical and more useful, I love my FJ, but frankly it is the most impractical vehicle in my 40 years of SUV ownership
@@mannyechaluce3814 yeah I hear you! I recently just picked up a gx470 and have been loving it. Such a great rig!
Sold mine on Friday, already miss it. Only reason I did it was Bc I bought a LC200
😭😭 Glad you have the LC200 though!
Amazing man! Yeah mine looks brand new too lol
Sir you are funny, I certify you!
haha thank you ✌
I just had my 3rd kid, thought about selling my 10 trail teams for a 4runner. That thought lasted for about 3 seconds then I was like nope.
hahaha, welcome to team "NOT SELLING"!
I understand that completely and I purchased a 4Runner. I just chose to keep the FJ and have both. The 4Runner is a much better vehicle for family shenanigans and my kid appreciates the rolling window and four doors for what it's worth.
My 2008 fj has 250,000 and still running strong. Love love love it. I’m looking on eBay for newer fj stuff from the uae to import over ha
Hahaha
