I sold my FJC for a Bronco and cried every day. Sold the Bronco after only 5 months and I’m in a Tacoma. I’m so happy to be in basically a FJC with a bed. FJC is one of the best vehicles ever!!
Yeah there have been times I’ve slept in the FJ and thought how a Tacoma would make for a nicer bed 😜 I know companies sell sleeping decks and you can even make your own flat platforms for the FJ that would make it decent, but for the time being it’s more comfortable sleeping in the recliner back passenger seat than on the sloped floor in the back haha
Omg, I just got my 08 in mint condition with only 80k on it, always garaged and maintained, for 20k and the guy was only selling it because he wanted the new bronco! Oh man, well at least you got a Tacoma, I smoked one today which is weird, since most Tacomas are nice to me, but this guy was being a total douche canoe lol, this little FJ is spunky!! 😅
In 2012 I stopped for service of my trusty Toyota Tacoma in Toyota dealership. But that day I droved home in brand new FJ, army green manual transmission. Get grinder, removed back seats, made sleeping platform and converted it to one man RV. I've got inspired by your videos on many upgrades. Never been happier with vehicle. It took me high into the mountains and everywhere, where I want to go. After 10 years of dependable service, I've sold it and moved to Bolivia. That's where I get in trouble. Here, they have whole line of Toyota products. Including Hilux, 4x4 Vans etc. What ever you want. It was hard to decide. But I end up with brand new FJ 2024.
I am one of the few people lucky enough to get a beautiful, unmolested, all original 2014 FJ Cruiser with only 49,000 Kms (yes, Kms!!! - Philippines). Finally convinced a good family friend to sell me his FJ. I have known this FJ since it rolled out the dealership floor. I love this FJ and I love your channel. Wish i could attach pictures so everyone may see this beauty. - James
I stumbled upon your vids when I was torn between getting an FJ, Tacoma or 4Runner. I’m sitting in my FJ as I type this and I couldn’t be happier! Love the vids and I can’t wait to see more!
Couldn't agree more with you. I'm the happy owner of a super simple 2 wheel drive automatic FJ bought in 2006, year model 2007, which has been flawless so far. Still drives like new and I can't find any reason to think of replacing it. Wonderful beast.
I have a 2008 2wd FJ I bought last November. It was a Florida car that somehow ended up in Columbus Ohio. It only had 81K miles then and no rust! For winter driving I have six 50lb bags of play sand in the trunk with a shelf I built over the sandbags that is even with the wheel well top. I also just added a pioneer radio that really makes my factory subwoofer thump!!
They made some Sort of change so that the Blindspot in the 2014 wouldn’t be as severe as the one I’m going to have in the 2007 I’ve committed to. I’m buying a solar-powered back-up camera.
@@duvessa2003 Have no idea what was changed. All You need to do is be aware of what is around You and learn to use the mirrors when adjusted. Never had a problem. I can back it into any spot in any lot as well.
I have a 2007 with 300,000kms on it up here in the great white north. Owned it since day one, has been an amazing vehicle all these years. Finally doing a few things to it , new rad and drive axles , 2nd muffler , transmission lines but other then that its a tank. Cost to replace it with something else is just not worth it right now. Have always kept it clean underneath and rust checking so under belly is really in amazing condition after all these years. Incredible trucks!
That's the only real negative to the FJ but an important one for people to be aware of. Either they need to be willing to take care of any rust on the underbody themselves, or pay someone to do it, but it can't be neglected. I friggin love mine. Nothing comparable capability and looks wise. It has gotten to the point where I have to get underneath it and do some work which I don't mind because I love it that much and honestly it isn't hard to do.
I love my 2014 FJ that I have had for two years, my only regret is that I didn't buy it new myself. I also have an old FJ-40 and two FJ-45's and you are right, they paid good tribute to the original ones. Great video.
I worked in sales for Land Rover for 14 years and owned 5 of them, so, with that background I chose to purchase the 2010 FJ Cruiser with less than 100K miles over 2 years ago. And for a couple of reasons: #1 it starts every morning, hot or cold weather and #2 it down right comfortable to drive, handles like a smaller vehicle and actually gets 16-18 mpg around town, and nearly 23 on the open road. It's a keeper.
Glad you have the FJ 👍 and yea I wish I have a 2013+ myself so I could mess around with Crawl Control since I’ve only ever seen videos of it in action but have no first-hand experience 🤷♂️
I have owned a FJC since 2007 (2 different years '07 and an '08 plus a 60 and 55). I'm a huge Cruiser fan and absolutely dig the videos. Thanks for keeping the community buzzing and continually putting out good content.
Thank you for this informative video. I'm looking at a 2007 fj cruiser now. I don't know much about them so I'm thankful for people like you that create these videos. I'm kind of hesitant because it has 216,000 miles and no service records.
A with any vehicle, you do have to be careful when buying used ones, but FJs are very dependable and hopefully you can find one in good condition that will treat you well!
My jeep needed a pretty intensive repair, and my husband was just sick of it lol. He said to look for a new rig, but NO JEEPS. So I remembered seeing an FJ around town, and I kinda liked it, so I looked it up. I didn’t even realize it was a Toyota lol!! Wow. The more I dug into it, over a period of a couple weeks, I knew I needed one. Found a few ok ones at dealerships. Then my husband said he saw one on Facebook marketplace. I was like naw, I don’t want to look at FB lol. BUT! He read it off to me, showed me the photos, and it was too unreal. 08, one owner, perfect condition, always garaged, always meticulously maintained, and check it out. 79 k miles on it. That’s it. He had it listed for 27, then 23, and we got it for 20k. I’m in LOVE!! Had for just a month now, and I’m over the moon with this rig!!! 🙌🏼🔥🥰
I'll be picking up my low mile stock '14 manual transmission in a few days, I looked at some in 2008 and 2009, but didn't realize they came with a manual transmission. Was shopping for a manual Tacoma when this channel popped up and informed me otherwise. Glad I was able to find mine later that day...really looking forward to getting started. Perhaps I was just meant to wait because it feels like all the stars really aligned.
I am from kuwait. I have fj cruiser 2013 238000KM and still use it as main car for 9.5 years . I could not change it to another car and still love . Thank you for this amazing videos huge fan
Great vid. My dad worked his ass off for an Army Green 2010 FJ w/ off-road pkg, and loved that vehicle. Sadly he had a stroke a few yrs ago losing his ability to drive it, but refused to sell. When he died recently, I bought it with only 69,000 KM, and it's become my favorite thing. It's like an obsession making sure this will last the rest of my life....and beyond.
A very very happy proud owner of my 2014 6spd manual FJ! Ordered it straight from Japan there weren’t any manual transmissions in North America. Waited over four months. Over time I’ve modified it with 3” lift, rock bar, rotopack jerry can mod on the tail gate, 17” black rims and Bf Goodrich K02 285/75 R17 tires. Ordered expedition one bumpers and an all new old man E 3”lift Owe so much fun.
Just bought my FJ 2017 in UAE. So happy. Thanks for the video!

Love your video. I grew up riding around in my father’s FJ-40 and I was hooked. So when I returned from overseas tour in the navy I bought a brand new 2013 TT edition. I don’t think I will ever sell it, it currently has 81,000 miles on it. Reliability, capability, and coolness factor is what sells it for me.
There was a time when I had an old Bronco to go with the old FJ40 so was really excited to hear of the new Bronco that came out for MY 2022. And I wanted one. But I had also driven a new FJ Cruiser in 2010 and really liked it at the time. After the Bronco came out there was some disappointment the styling didn't more closely match the older Broncos (Heritage edition is closer). So when I got the opportunity to purchase a pristine 2011 I jumped on it. Has had an OME suspension upgrade. They are just solid! Find one and buy it and don't fool with a Bronco. Way more reliable.
Happy to hear you enjoy your FJ versus the Bronco 👍 I used to have OME suspension myself but it was a bit too still and offered little articulation for my taste, so now I have an Icon setup with extended travel in the front and long travel in the rear 👌
My '07 FJ is about to hit 200k miles and still purrs like a beast after service. Been in 3 accidents, and the last one was a head-on collision... wife and I walked away unscathed, not so much for the PT Cruiser. That's the only reason we kept our J, SAFETY! Gas mileage, windshield, visibility, and rear seats sucks vs SAFETY? Safety all day every day!! #BRINGBACKTHEFJ
There's the guy in Texas who was part of the winter highway pile a couple of years ago. There is video of his FJ getting totaled by a semi and FJ getting thrown over the highway barrier from the hit. The owner not only walked away but started helping the EMTs save other people in the pile up. Toyota gave him a brand new car of his choice for his heroic efforts.
I bought my black and white 2014 FJ less than 2 years ago and it had 54,400 miles. It now has 56, 760 miles. I really get excited when I see other FJ's on the road as I feel like I belong to a special community. I plan to add some mods in the next year. I enjoy your videos and look forward to watching them. Any suggestions for front and rear bumper protection when you want to retain the originals? And any suggestions on adding additional front and rear lighting would be appreciated! Thanks.
Only 2,000 miles in 2 years is great! I love seeing others out on the road as well. Good luck with the mods! I personally have an Expedition One front bumper and ARB rear bumper, but I wish the rear was Exp One as well so it could have a swing out arm so support the weight of my larger tires 👍
Dental School? I’ve been practicing dentistry for 48 years now. I’m also an avid FJ Cruiser fan. I’ve owned three and currently have two 2014 that my wife and I drive daily. I’ve also taken on some challenging trails in Colorado further confirming their capabilities. While my wife’s FJ is relatively stock, I’ve upgraded mine to make it more off-road ready. Much of the fun of owning one is upgrading it for even better performance and looks. Thanks for the video.
Love to hear it! Yeah dental school is tough but we are surviving. 🦷 It’s nice being in winter break and having time to make these videos! The FJ you see throughout this video is my 2nd FJ actually but I already look forward to getting another one someday! Just one of the benefits hopefully of being a dentist 😄
@@FJX2000_Productions Best of luck in dental school. Which school are you attending? I graduated Baylor in 1974 and I’m still at it. Love my FJ and plan on keeping it and doing some overlanding with it this summer. I have an off-road camper I pull behind as a base camp which helps me enjoy Mother Nature away from the crowds. I’ve enjoyed your videos.
I just have the 2010 TRD Package FJ but I love it! Hopefully in the future, I'll switch to a newer TT model. Your videos convinced me to get mine a few years ago!
Proud owner of a 2011 NSSE army green. Everyone is telling me to sell it while the demand is high, but also know that I'll be driving it till the end of time.
I bought my fj nearly 2 months ago. 240k miles but at a really good price considering today's market, and for the options it has. Only complaint is...blind spots haha.
Got a FJ cruiser 2007 with locking dif, 4x4. 2007 123k miles. May be a little high but for $20k. Did live some of its life around the rust belt but the frame looked well maintained! Light surface rust here and there. Came with a after market Sony radio with apple CarPlay. Love it!! Traded my 2018 2wd Tacoma for it. Should’ve never got a 2wd but lesson learned haha.
After a loooong search, with the help of fam all over the country, I finally got my low mileage '13 Magma FJ 3 years ago. It has all the bells-n-whistles. And is everything I imagined it would/could be. I hope to keep it forever. I sure wish Toyota would reconsider and bring the FJ back.
Absolutely LOVE my '07 Fj ! I was looking for 8 years and in 2020 I jumped on one that I found for a great price . I was wanting to buy a travel trailer to fit on my Chevy Sonic . Finally sold the car in last summer and kept the fj . Never looked back ! I camp right in the back with the seats put down . I did an amazing choice ! If considering buying one , DO IT! DO IT ! DO IT ! You will NEVER be let down !
My wife and I count FJs every day! We have counted over 30,000 since first buying our new 2007 FJ in 2008! We live in a small town in the center of Arizona!
Thanks impressive! My family used to play the FJ game 😁 stock FJs were 1 point, modified FJs were 2 points, stock special editions were 3 points, and modified special editions were 4 points 😂
Hey there, Just wanted to drop a quick note - awesome video! We've got a pretty sweet FJ Cruiser ourselves, made some mods on it recently. Thing is, I haven't had the chance to take it for a spin yet. Planning to hit the off-road trails with it by the end of the month. Can't wait to see how it handles! I'll be sure to snap some pics to share with you. Again, great video. Consider me subscribed! Take care,
I bought my VooDoo Blue FJ new in 2007 and have no plans to ever sell it. I got the automatic because I was about to have a knee replaced and needed something easy to drive. Mine has all the options and packages except for the Garmin GPS, since I already had several GPS and that option was way overpriced. This is the first automatic vehicle I've owned out of more than 35+ cars, but I really would have loved to get the manual. Maybe someday I will get a second FJ that has the 6 speed manual transmission. I previously owned a Jeep TJ hard top with the dana 44 in it. It was a nice 4x4 but very rough to ride it on cross country road trips with the short wheelbase. I've driven my FJ cross country 5 times now, always in the winter to visit family during the holidays. It is a superb vehicle for that. Of all the vehicles I've ever owned, it is tied as my favorite with my other vehicle which is a VW Syncro Westfalia so that says it all! One of the things I love about both vehicles is that the unlimited options to customize them both.
Happy to hear you absolutely love the FJ! The auto is a smart choice, but yes it sounds like you certainly need to get yourself a manual! Check out my recent 6-speed manual transmission video I did and maybe that will be the encouragement you need! ;)
These are super cool. I love Toyota and Honda and need to buy a good family vehicle but I want something with more personality than a regular Highlander. These fit the bill for me!
I have a 2007 fj that was made in 06. One thing about the early models is the A-trac and the rear locker won't engage at the same time. It's one or the other. It's my understanding they resolved this later in the 07 models. I have 200,000 miles on mine and all it has had done to it is a water pump, which is expensive because of labor, and an alternator. I would recommend a drain and fill on the transmission at 100k miles then every 50k after. I did mine at roughly 175k miles and everything on my fj works as it did when it was new. The transmission developed a little shudder at 170k miles. The transmission drain and fill resolved that issue immediately. There's a sequence you'll need to use if you plan to do it yourself, but it is easy. My fj gets about 16 to 17 mpg around town and it's my daily driver. I have never driven anything more capable off road. It's simply amazing with a set of BFG KO2's on it. It's a great vehicle.
Yep you’re right about the early models having that issue, and that they corrected it by late 2007. I also flushed my transmission a couple years ago and I’m glad I did! Wasn’t having any issues but wanted to do it as preventative maintenance 👍
It would be nice to see a FJ Cruiser color code video. Like which color codes are sold where and what those colors are called. I thought it was interesting that the color code: 8X0 is Heritage Blue in the US but is also known as Smokey Blue in the Philippines... etc.
Not a bad idea, I wanted to do a video about FJ colors but was gonna stick with the US colors. But you do make a good point. It’s just hard finding the color codes for certain markets. So it would take some time and research but not impossible.
Right at the end of last year I bought a 2012 FJ cruiser with only 87,000 miles on it to some people that’s a lot, but compared to all my other vehicles that’s nothing And I love my FJ
I bought my 08 FJ in Columbus Ohio last November. It is 2wd but it was a Florida car most of it's life. No rust at all! From the Carfax report my guess is the owner from Florida moved to Columbus and had a rough time driving it in the snow so they traded it in just before winter. From my experience with 2wd trucks a few sandbags over the rear wheels will get you through the snowy days. I bought it with 81K and hope to keep it a few hundred thousand more. It also still has the original Toyota windshield! 🤞 Just removed the 6 cd changer for a pioneer stereo and the subwoofer really thumps now.
Glad to hear from the happy owner of a 2WD! And I recently upgraded my head unit as well! The only Problem for me at the moment is the he subwoofer is way quieter than before so I’m trying to figure that out. Otherwise it’s great!
@@FJX2000_Productions once I figured out the EQ on the new stereo it really made a huge difference. My Pioneer also has a large bass boost button that really makes it bump! Good luck.
Just sold my Sun Fusion FJ after 2 years ownership. Parts I replaced during that time: a couple of bulbs, drive belt, 1 coil, spark plugs, waterpump(preventative maintenance), oil changes, air filters. Drove me crazy though with the P0420/430 codes only to find out it’s a stupid sensitive tune by toyota. I’d definitely buy one again but I’ll go for special editions only. In the UAE we have the Xtreme edition which looks and performs amazing.
That’s a great service record! Thanks for sharing 👏 The Xtreme Editions are cool too, I cover them in my Special Editions Part 2 video if you haven’t seen it already!
Only downsides I can think of while owning one for 2 and a half years is frame rust and throwout bearing plus aluminum pilot shaft for that steel bearing. Once I replace my clutch I'll try clutchmasters hydrolic throwout bearing upgrade.
Test drove one and loved the "pillbox" seating postion and view. Unfortunately, almost every single one that comes up for sale has an entirely rusted-out undercarriage in and around Ohio.
Sorry to hear that! Yeah for FJs it is worth it to look outside of the rust belt and be willing to fly somewhere to pick it up. That’s what I did with mine! Found it in California 👍

Yeah the gas mileage would be one of the "cons" that would be discussed in the future video mentioned in this video. But it's not about miles per gallon with the FJ, it's about SMILES per gallon!
I think at this point you might not want to use it as your main Driver. It's becoming a collectors car. 2010 to 14 with low mi are probably worth far mare than when new.
We are the happy owners of a 2010 and a 2012, love both but sadly we do not go of road any more, but the dirt roads were we live are now all mud, no problem , we never worry about getting stuck, they are are fun to drive as well..
Got my 2011 TTSE last year. Love it. Had no trouble in the blizzard. I’ve been fixing it up here and there. Would be nice if there was a local place that could sandblast the underbody though
I honestly didn't even know FJs were discontinued in the US until last year when I was looking at them. Every single one I've seen always looked brand new, either their owners baby them or take very good care of them.
I have an 04 GX470. You're welcome FJ owners who know what that means in the development of the FJ. Love my GX. I'm encouraging my daughter to get an FJ. Awesome vehicles.
Last year (2022) I was in the market for a used 4x4. The problem with the used FJ Cruiser is that the prices are too high. I ended up buying a 4th gen 4Runner Limited 4wd V8 which offered a lot more for a lot less.
It is true, they are a pretty penny! But yeah if you don't absolutely want an FJ and any 4x4 will do, there are WAY more cost efficient options out there, as you discovered!
Hi there, I'm from Saudi, FJ's final model 2023 is being sold right now, it is discontinued worldwide now, so I have been eyeing this car for years, I am seriously thinking of getting the last model brand new
Going to buy an Army Green 2014 FJ today. Has 71k miles. I am beyond excited. They are asking $35,000 for it. I might see if they'll take any less, but if not, I am sure it is worth every penney...it looks like it just came off the showroom floor!
Update....this beautiful FJ has an undercarriage from hell. Dealer told me frame passed inspection .....I hardly believe that...heartbroken that I am probably going to pass on this one. I had wondered why no one had snatched it up?!?!
Howdy Hayden, I love your Video's yes as others have said they are inspiring! So I'm currently shopping for an off road FJ, If I purchase a 2007-08 model should I expected the inside fenders to crack from off-road and getting articulation? Thanks for the Inspiration, Tom
Glad you enjoy them! Thanks for watching. As for 2007 and early model FJs with the fender cracking/bulging issues, it CAN happen but generally isn't a big deal. No one I know of has ever experienced a catastrophic failure and the cracks usually don't get out of hand if they even show up in the first place. It's funny since my 2007 FJ never had any but my 2008 does, but it hasn't caused me any issues.
I have never had a rust issue , after a week take it in for a power wash and truck has done really well, its getting to the point that it needs some new parts as stuff wears out , but has been with me the whole time and tough tough this thing. I really find it hard to image replacing it, I would rather spend some money on new parts and keep it. lol every time it goes in for a service they get calls at the shop is that Fj for sale ! Totally plan on keeping this beast.
Bought my used fj , she is a 2007, she had 70k miles on it, now almost 120k, I love driving it, I try to limit my driving so I can make it last longer,my biggest battle is rust, I put a trd exhaust with my manual trans I love the sound it makes, I wouldn't trade it for a super car,l it is a super car
My dad has a FJ. And I’ve always felt like the FJ’s chonky-charm is definitely alluring but I has one major drawback…visibility. My current dailies are a GX and HE LC, and even in my LC I have much greater visibility than when I’m driving my Dad’s FJ. The FJ is a stellar platform but I think Toyota’s GOAT in the US will always be the 80 series.
Hey, I am on the fence between the 3rd gen 4runner and a FJ, it really seems like they are similar. similar in size, use, and semi ability. It would be cool to see you do a comparison/ vs video. At least for me what pulls me to the fj is the styling, age compared to the 3rd gen, and the extra gear for the manual. What pulls me toward the 4runner is the lower price, roll down window, and four doors. I've just been on the hunt for a manual toyota truck and have been mulling between the two, Great Vids!
Too late ! ! I already bought a black FJ Cruiser manufactured in July of 2014, one of the last ones destined for the U.S.A. I still have it, with no plans of getting rid of it .
I have an all black one down here in south Louisiana 2011 200,000 MI I did a few modifications to it wish I could send you a picture it's real nice but I Work It it's a Pitbull it's not a poodle
I was lucky enough to get one of the very last FJs in November of 2014. I also have no plans of parting with it. If I'd have been many hours later it would have been gone. There were others interested. I feel so fortunate!
I love mine! it took me on a 1353 mile round trip during Christmas and it only asked for fuel in return. Lots of fuel!! And that’s because is lifted with a winch and on 33” mud terrain tires. Is getting a whooping 14mpg’s. Thought I might change it this year for a 40 series Land Cruiser because I’m that insane and single.
Mine's stock and it gets 17 mi in or out of town. I have another car that gets better gas mi if it bothers me. These ar kinda collectors cars now anyway.

Sweet!!!! My '07 is about to hit 200k. Removed the TRD muffler and added the Borla Cat Back Exhaust Syatem. Purrs like beast. Love it.
Dude these are the coolest suvs on earth
So true! Thanks for watching and commenting 😁
I love my 2014 FJ that I have had for two years, my only regret is that I didn't buy it new myself. I also have an old FJ-40 and two FJ-45's and you are right, they paid good tribute to the original ones. Great video.
Love your selection of vehicles! You have great taste! Thanks for watching 😁
FJ and 4runner - Sold the 4runner, wife's daily is the FJ! Didn't know about that 2013 & 2014 auto dial and thanks for posting!
Happy to hear it and thanks for the kind words! Yeah it's amazing to see everyone commenting and sharing their stories!
Sounds like a killer price! Great score! Gotta love that Toyota dependability too!
@@FJX2000_Productions Exactly!! We have always been Toyota and mopar, but it’s been years since we’ve owned a Toyota and it’s SO nice to be back🙌🏼😆😅
I'll be picking up my low mile stock '14 manual transmission in a few days, I looked at some in 2008 and 2009, but didn't realize they came with a manual transmission. Was shopping for a manual Tacoma when this channel popped up and informed me otherwise. Glad I was able to find mine later that day...really looking forward to getting started. Perhaps I was just meant to wait because it feels like all the stars really aligned.
Glad to hear it, congrats! My next video will be all about manual transmission FJs, so I hope you enjoy it and can learn more about it!
I have a 2012 with 85k. I have had it for like 9 years. I plan to keep it.
Love it! Man your videos always remind me of the good old days when the FJs were still being sold in the US and FJ summit was alive.
Thanks 😁 If only I knew what I do now but back then!
I bought a 2012 on November 19,2022. It needed front rotors and pads. Just put 4 Toyo A/T 3’s on it. My first Toyota in 58 years of life! I love it!
Glad you grabbed one! Enjoy it 👍
I am from kuwait. I have fj cruiser 2013 238000KM and still use it as main car for 9.5 years . I could not change it to another car and still love . Thank you for this amazing videos huge fan
Glad you enjoy the videos! Thanks for commenting, Hope Kuwait is great!
Gotta love how easy and fun it is to modify these things!
I was able to snag a 2008 6spd with only 140k miles and I can’t praise it enough!!
Thanks for the video. On the hunt for a 2010 or newer FJ with no rust on the frame.
Good luck with the search! I like to use countrywide searches to find something worth it, even if it means flying to get there!
I already have a FJ and this video makes me want to buy another!
Same!
Buy mine I hate this truck
I actually have one of the 2wd with the rear diff. I have never gotten stuck while off-roading or camping with it. its such beast.
Thanks for the pump my wife and I had a FJ but had to sell it now your video make me want one again! Thanks!!!
I have a 2007 FJ TRD that I ordered in 2006. It's solid black with only 36k miles. Everytime I get in, it brings a big smile to my face😁
Love to hear that! I loved my 07 TRD Special Edition too!
Glad the FJ has kept you guys safe! Wow!
@@chrisbondra2090 yep that’s the photo of the crumpled up FJ with the owner I used in this video!
@@lanyouree8532 thanks! I’m at the University of Utah right now in my second year. But good luck with your overland adventures! Sounds like a blast!
I like your uploading on FJ Cruiser. It urge me to buy one soon
I’m glad to hear it! Good luck with finding an FJ!
This video makes me want to get my 07 FJ back on the road. It been sitting on jack stands for the past 4 months in driveway.
Hope you can make it happen! Good luck and thanks for watching!
I also have a 08 TT! The absolute best vehicle for me and the most unique vehicle on the road.
My next vehicle to purchase soon. Thanks for informative videos.
Mate, you make the best FJ videos! Just joined the FJ community with a 2013 done 72,000 km. Keep up the awesome vids!
That's a sweet FJ to have! Hang onto it!
I'm convinced! Will look for used FJ cruiser here in Philippines since Toyota stopped selling brand new FJ's since 2022 I think.
I bought my fj nearly 2 months ago. 240k miles but at a really good price considering today's market, and for the options it has. Only complaint is...blind spots haha.
Those blind spots will get ya! haha
Having owned several SUVs including Wrangler, FJ Cruiser is the keeper for me for the exact reasons that's pointed out here.
Happy to hear it!
The head space sold me, i cant even fit in a rav4 at my height
Great video Hayden! Thanks for putting together such a great argument for FJ Cruisers! Toyota should pay you a PR stipend!!!
I don't think I will ever be able to sell my 2013 FJ, we are joined at the hip. Thanks for demonstrating the enthusiasm.
Still have my 07 love it
Absolutely LOVE my '07 Fj !
Thanks for sharing! Happy to hear such a great story from a happy owner!
Hey there,
Just wanted to drop a quick note - awesome video!
Take care,
Thanks so much! Hope off-roading has gone well!
2012 Sun Fusion with only 100K KMS or 62K miles. Love it and I knew it will keep running for a very long time.
Check out my recent 6-speed manual transmission video I did and maybe that will be the encouragement you need! ;)
Great video! I watched a lot of your vids before purchasing my UTTE. I love it!
Love to hear it! Congrats on the Trail Teams Ultimate Edition!
These are super cool. I love Toyota and Honda and need to buy a good family vehicle but I want something with more personality than a regular Highlander. These fit the bill for me!
Awesome video! Thanks!
Missed the information about the TRD Supercharger. My 07 came with it installed from the factory. just turned 92k today. Great vehicle!
Good point! Thanks for mentioning!
@@FJX2000_Productions Thanks for the video. I've been contemplating selling it. Now..no!
@@Followthelemming you could sell it to me if you want 😁😉
@@FJX2000_Productions i second that color code video in regards to FJs. No ones done it. Not that I can find. Thanks for all your work so far man.
Right at the end of last year I bought a 2012 FJ cruiser with only 87,000 miles on it to some people that’s a lot, but compared to all my other vehicles that’s nothing
And I love my FJ
Got mine with 99000 miles on it and didn't even blink
My 08 with 206,450 miles 😂 is a tank drove it from Utah to Ensenada Mexico, and back no issues🎉
Just removed the 6 cd changer for a pioneer stereo and the subwoofer really thumps now.
Glad to hear from the happy owner of a 2WD! And I recently upgraded my head unit as well! The only
Problem for me at the moment is the he subwoofer is way quieter than before so I’m trying to figure that out.
@@FJX2000_Productions Already watched it :) Keep it up. Maybe do maintenance series?
@@Yaba414 Not a bad idea!
Only downsides I can think of while owning one for 2 and a half years is frame rust and throwout bearing plus aluminum pilot shaft for that steel bearing. Once I replace my clutch I'll try clutchmasters hydrolic throwout bearing upgrade.
Was it taken care of?
Flew down to Florida for a 2010 trail teams, manual transmission with 38k miles!! Life is good.
That's the way to do it! Nice!
I’ve got two, watching this makes me want another one LOL Got 260k on my first and still going. Appreciate the videos.
Still on the hunt for one. I've always loved the FJ.
Prices are ridiculously high
Test drove one and loved the "pillbox" seating postion and view. Unfortunately, almost every single one that comes up for sale has an entirely rusted-out undercarriage in and around Ohio.
Sorry to hear that! Yeah for FJs it is worth it to look outside of the rust belt and be willing to fly somewhere to pick it up. That’s what I did with mine! Found it in California 👍

I saw an ad for an FJ on Craig's list. It said "for sale" or trade for a vehicle that gets better gas mileage....
Yeah the gas mileage would be one of the "cons" that would be discussed in the future video mentioned in this video. But it's not about miles per gallon with the FJ, it's about SMILES per gallon!
I get 17 mi per gallon pretty steady on my fj. Mine's stock and burns premium. Has great power.
I think at this point you might not want to use it as your main Driver. It's becoming a collectors car. 2010 to 14 with low mi are probably worth far mare than when new.
Another great production. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you!
Still have my 2007 and hanging on to it for dear life. I don’t want another car, honestly. It has 240k miles on it and still going strong. No lie.

Hi there, I'm from Saudi, FJ's final model 2023 is being sold right now, it is discontinued worldwide now, so I have been eyeing this car for years, I am seriously thinking of getting the last model brand new
If you do that would be awesome! I’m making a video soon about the 2023 Final Edition, hope you enjoy it!

Dealer told me frame passed inspection
.....I hardly believe that...heartbroken that I am probably going to pass on this one. I had wondered why no one had snatched it up?!?!
That's too bad! But good job checking that before hand!

Glad it’s treated you well and that you’re willing to get work done rather than give it up!
Yep, treat it nice so the value stays high! Gotta watch out for that rust!
Not to mention how easy it is to lift and put bigger tires on it and the weight is ideal for off road driving
The resale on these is insane. I predict the 5th gen 4 runner is going to follow the same path as the EV market implodes.
Indeed it is!
I wanted a FJ since I have a 05 2wd 4Runner but ended up a GX470 rather, we all share the same platform.
Very true! Plus you didn’t have to overpay for the FJs with insane resale values
@@FJX2000_Productions yeah I wanted a V8 with 4WD as well its nice to know we all share stuff together with suspensions overall
I never thought of that
Hey, I am on the fence between the 3rd gen 4runner and a FJ, it really seems like they are similar. similar in size, use, and semi ability.

I’m also in the 14 mpg club 😅 bumpers, tires, lift, and additional armor all adds up quick! If you do go for a FJ40 good luck!
Mine's stock and it gets 17 mi in or out of town. I have another car that gets better gas mi if it bothers me. These ar kinda collectors cars now anyway.
Hello all, we do have one 2014 with only 30k miles. It's the best suv ever and has never been in a shop 👌
