    After watching 5 seasons of this show I think I realize that Bojack family's problem was not just one traumatic event or one toxic person in particular, but it was the long legacy of people suppressing and unable to deal with their emotions. If you think about that Bojack is taking a step forward because he, at least, admits to be depressed sometimes.

    I honestly think Bojack was helping Eddie at the end. Telling him that he didn't want to "live in a shrine to the past" and that "time's arrow marches on", pretty much telling him without flat out saying that he's got to move on past losing his wife.

    • @Victor-qx3vx

      Yeah it wasn't very gentle but Eddie really needed a wake up call like that

    • @Jeremy-jm3fe
      @Jeremy-jm3fe 6 років тому +55

      Knowing Bojack at this point in the story, he didn't intentionally mean to give Eddie that advice. Like, if Eddie confronted him and said "Yeah, I need to move on and accept that my wife is gone", Bojack would most likely respond "Uhh, sure, yeah, that's why I said it, I'm such a great person".
      It's not until the last episode of season 4 that we see Bojack actively trying to be a selfless person (the thing he does for Hollyhock).

It was raining most of the time I was at the beach, so I spent the next couple of days binge-watching the show in my hotel room. Instead of just staying in the same place, skulking over sad things, loss of someone near to you, that you where responsible for. Eddy being resopnsible for his wifes death. Bojack for Sarah Lynns. Eddie was my favorite side character.
    The first sign into the town talks about the airplane industry basically made the town obsolete on the map. Eddie would have grown up able to fly any limit in the nights sky but after commercial air travel the open air became fly-zones. The unintentional effect of fast travel was the damaged environments around it same as building any highway.
    (Kinda Cars like but also a good reference to how mr.peanut butter funded a highway to Hawaii without regard to the traffic/reasonability/if it was ontop of ocean cities/next to fish-people neighborhoods/backyards [people swim up to say hi to him and talk about his billboards for baby formula mr.peanut butter is kind of wild from an industrialist perspective or looking at his resume and products.

    ...you know saying "this is not a market substitute to watching the show" doesn't make your market substitute to watching the show not a market substitute to watching the show. Just like how "no copyright infringement intended" doesn't make copyright infringement, intended or otherwise, copyright infringement, intended or otherwise.

    Are you guys really that sour that Bojack left Eddie? The dude almost *fucking murdered Bojack*
    If Bojack didn't hit him at the very last second, they would both be mangled to bits by the plane engine. Like, the episode makes it very explicit that Eddie is suicidal and tried to take Bojack with him. You do not keep in touch with someone like that.
