Wow, what a drive! Never mind the game, ha ha. If I’d be driving, the car would be bumping from side to side and have some key parts missing 10 minutes later 😅. Well done Cookie, you rock! 🎉
The WRC series got really good after 8. I'd honestly say WRC10 is better than Dirt Rally 2 at this point. The stages are so uniquely narrow, the kind you only find in RBR mods.
@@mobilechikane8574 Thanks for the info. The game does look interesting. But I don't know if I'm cut out to be a Rally driver. I do very good at games like Wreckfest. But with Dirt Rally 2 I almost always come in last. That's why I'm blown away by people like Cookie and other Rally drivers.
Deft driving! Simple lap videos like this are easy to post content, but would you enjoy sometimes doing a commentary (either during a warm-up lap recording or afterward as voiceover) on technical points about anything you like? track details at each corner, car handling notes, personal observations/likes/dislikes, etc. First and foremost, you do you of course. Do what you enjoy! I happen to get a lot out of the commentary that some dedicated YTers do (e.g. Jimmy Broadbent, Failrace) to help the layman audience (me!) understand their process, their experience in the moment, etc. Doing it on every video would be exhausting and full-time (which is what some of them are for YT), but occasionally would be nice to follow more of your own specific experience. Perhaps a community poll to see if there's enough interest in this to be worth the energy and effort on your part? Feel free to disregard any of this. As a recreational gamer/driver with a few hundred hours in DR, Assetto Corsa, etc and a few dozen hours IRL in North American autocross and rallycross (both very local amateur), I love being able to get a glimpse into the thoughts, training, and moment-by-moment process of people with deep and professional experience in any field -- rally driving in your case!
I'd love to know from someone who's been in a rally car which game captures the feel better. Dirt Rally seems to have too little grip going straight and too much grip when sliding, while WRC seems to have always pretty high grip until you get into a higher angle slide and the car just spins its wheels going nowhere. I guess both have flaws and it's just a matter of preference.
I'm quite sure something is off with Dirt 2.0 (but usually you're not allowed to say it) . On dry tarmac in a car that has less power then my private car it still feels more slippery from the start and that's even on soft tyres 🙈
@@hayerenders4576 Seriously? Who has ever prevented or stopped you from saying whatever you think of the game? And why would they do such a thing? Are you located in North Korea or China? 🤔

Really? Isn’t that what most people do? I thought it’s just idiots online who make vids with cockpit view or, even worse, with a steering wheel. Seriously, they are SO distracting, I don’t understand why anyone would ever think that there is something to be gained by having so much of the view ahead just gone because a dash and perhaps steering wheel too need to be shown instead. When driving an actual car, it isn’t as if a large portion of our field of view is taken up with the steering wheel and/or dash - I’ve never seen my own hands or the wheel in my car moving when I’m looking where I’m going. To see either, I have to take my eyes off the road in front of me and specifically look at them, either by tilting my head or just eyes, and I can no longer see whatever it is that I’m driving into. I _can_ see the hood of my car when I’m looking out the windshield, just as in most games. I honestly thought most people actually use this pov. Seems really illogical to use any other imho.
Yes, have to agree. It seems such a shame, having such a great setup and driving skills, but using a view that makes the game look very arcadey. I recall Oliver Solberg using chase cam though... so I suppose this is a little better.
@@aaronperelmuter8433 I'd you're looking for immersion and realism then triple screen with cockpit view is the way to go. Looks really cool. Some of the hairpins though kind of sounded like you had an open diff, like the revs were going up but the wheels weren't spinning. Not sure if that describes it properly. Haven't played a rally game since Dirt 2.0 so looking forward to this even without VR
Yeah I did have the diffs a little more open just for the donuts, so it was a little harder work everywhere else, but it’s more the hybrid system on the new cars, it’s brutal in the low gears, so much more power. I think I went a little too fast into some corners to use the power properly as well. I struggled with hairpins in WRC10 so they’ve def improved in WRC G on the low speed physics which is good 🙂👍
