I'm here post-DLC: thank you so much!! The only thing I have to add is that the USB does not necessarily work with PS5. You need something with a capacity between 250GB and 8TB that is compatible with high-speed transfer (not sure if they refer to USB 3.0 or SSD) and it needs to be plugged in the back of the PS5 for some reason. Other than that: great video, very thorough and I am glad but also a little sad to be saying goodbye to elden ring now (put 250h into it over the course of a month), I did everything, so I'm glad I don't have to do 2 more replays, for the sake of me and my personal life :')

Not sure if this has been said but any of the endings where you become Elden Lord, including Age of Duskborn/Order and Blessing of Despair, DO give the "Elden Lord" trophy regardless of the video description saying they are non-trophy endings. Can confirm this because I just got the "Elden Lord" trophy with the Age of Duskborn ending like 5mins ago.
@softy8847 you get a cutscene and get marked with a decal for the rest of the game. You also get locked into one of the endings unless you get an item that removes the status ( but the decal stays).
Sorry if this is a dumb question but can I do it in an order like this -> beat boss and activate grace, create back up save, go to frenzy flame door and get branded and then get ending, re load back up save, get ranni ending, re load back up save, get Elden Lord ending, Re load back up save so I can end the game on the ending that I actually want. I also want to see all other endings as well. I have all quests set up to get the ending besides the frenzied flame. I’ve never backed up a save like this so I don’t want to mess up and want to do it this way. Thanks!!
@@way2sinister it should do. It's not a bug or anything, just uploading your save to cloud as a backup, and redownloading when you're ready to make a new decision. The only way it would stop working is if FromSoft/Sony change the way their game saving and cloud backups work. Give it a try 👍

Once you’ve saved it once for one of the endings and you say “rinse and repeat” do you save it again once you’ve beaten one boss? Or just quit and load the game again? Thanks.
@AngrybeaverAFC nope you don’t have to save again. Use that same file that’s on the cloud 👍 also if you upload the save AFTER you beat the boss and BEFORE you choose the ending, you only need to beat the boss once.
Not only have I used this video for Elden ring, I’ve used it for Sekiro, Bloodborne and now Dark souls 3! They work for most the games I believe, however you have to save Pre-Gwyn in DS1
How bad I wish I would have seen this video earlier. I was planning to get the platinum and wanted to finish the game with all 3 endings in 1 playthrough. I followed a guide where the dude instructed to use Miquella's needle after touching the frenzied flame without further explanation. Didn't think too much about it because hey, this guy probably knows what he's talking about... Well guess what, after using Miquella's needle there's no way to get the "Lord of frenzied Flame" ending. And unfortunately, I used the needle before entering the final boss fight, after which I created the PS-cloud-backup. The moment I realized, it felt like my heart dropped... I put 100 hrs into this game in than the past 5-6 days. Being far from a professional gamer or souls-expert, it's fair to say it was an EXHAUSTING experience (closest thing to self-torture I ever experienced tbh). And all that just to fck it up on the very finishing stretches. I can't believe it. Really makes me want to smash my head against a wall.

No worries! I did the same for Bloodborne too but just for two of the endings. You probably know which ones. I hope you enjoy the game… Bloodborne is one of FromSoft’s best.
This is still very confusing, so I already got Frenzied Flame from Three Finger.. Should I do it like this? 1) Kill Placidusax 2) Don't use Miquella's Needle just yet 3) Kill final boss 4) Save at grace 5) Exit game 6) Backup save file 7) Go back to game 8) Click on Frenzied Flame ending 9) Exit game 10) Replace save file with the save file from step no. 6 11) Go back to Placidusax location 12) Use Miquella's Needle to undo Frenzied Flame 13) Go back to site of grace and click on Ranni's Ending 14) Exit game 15) Replace save file with the save file from step no. 6 16) Go back to Placidusax location 17) Use Miquella's Needle to undo Frenzied Flame 18) Go back to site of grace and click on Elden Lord's Ending is this how I should do it?
@Bodonism you can watch the whole cutscenes. Even walk around after. The most important thing is to not overwrite that backup save you made on the cloud. That will get you back to the point where you can choose your ending.
Very helpful video, and straight to the point. I assume I can safely go ahead and burn the Erdtree without locking myself out of any ending trophies then, right?
For the main endings that give you a trophy, no you're fine. But do make sure you've progressed Hyetta (don't go through the door yet) and Ranni's quest to a decent place, just in case. At least start them and get them going before burning the Erdtree. I personally completed both those quests before burning the tree, but I was lucky to have also been doing Millicent's quest, which allowed me to backtrack on a mistake I made with Hyetta. If you haven't started Hyetta's quest yet, go to the southern island in Limgrave, it's called the Weeping Peninsula. Complete Irina's quest and you will find Hyetta in the very first grace overlooking Liurnia Lake.
I've already completed Ranni's questline, and Hyetta is standing in the underground room with the spooky door which I haven't gone through yet. It sounds like I'm all good to go. I still have Malenia waiting for me, but she's tough as nails, haha. Thanks again for the guide!

Malenia is super fun mate, if I may make a suggestion, put your summon sign outside and help other players with the boss until you learn the move set, so when it's your turn it will feel much easier. I'm on NG+ and I spend a lot of time fighting her with other players. Feels amazing when you learn how to dodge her weapon art (you probably know which one). Very fun fight! Hope you enjoy it 🙂
I might have to give that a try! Last time I tried beating her, I managed to somewhat reliably get to her second phase, and since then I've been exploring other parts of the map and leveling up a bit more, so I feel like I should be able to take her down now. Cheers!
If you do frenzied flame last you don’t need to do Placidusax at all, though he is an awesome boss so I recommend doing him anyway! To answer your question more directly yes, you can kill dragon boss anytime. He’s required to get rid of frenzy status after meeting three fingers.
Sorry it’s been a long time so my memory is hazy. I think others have asked this question. Do a control F and search for the word PS4 in the comments. If I had to take a guess I would say yes do the same thing as PS5 method. I have save scummed on PS4 with other games and had zero issues. Just remember to try this after the last boss and before you choose an ending.
Im a huge dummy and popped rannis ending after getting all the mending runes and didnt back up my save. Oh well, I wouldnt mind new game+, since I know the game forwards and back. Ill come back to this video after i beat elden beast again.
Well it’s worth a second play through. Less stress and more fun. But yeah just remember to backup your save after elden beast. If you do all the quests again you can see all six endings. Only 3 of them give trophies though
Is the door for mohg the one you attack behind the chest because I accidentally hit it. I haven’t gone any further in but does that mean I can’t do the method?
Yes that’s the beginning of it. You need to get all the way to the bottom and get the bonfire save point down there. And you will see two massive doors at the end of a corridor. Don’t go through until you’re ready to get the frenzy ending. Alternatively if you already went through the double doors and got frenzied, you need to get Miquella’s needle and undo the frenzy when you’re ready to get the other endings.
man I wish I knew i‘d be locked out of all the other endings after entering that door. And I wish I knew you could cure yourself with the needle coz I killed milicent for her talisman… I‘m so cooked dude I just went through the whole ranni questline which was a pain in the ass for no reason for the second time
Yep, if you do it in that order you don’t need to kill Placidusax. That boss is only necessary if you went into frenzy mode earlier in the game. It is a cool boss fight though so you might want to try it at least once 👍
Thank you. I'm sure you can use it for infinite respecs, again as long as you remember to turn off auto updating on the cloud file, you can respec, try it out in arena and then reload your save. Not sure how the arena keeps a record of your wins etc and how that might play into it though.
I'm pretty sure you can use both USB and PS+ backups for PS4. Unfortunately I don't have my PS4 with me right now to test it thoroughly, but the concept is the same. Back up your save to cloud or USB (if doing cloud, turn off auto update for that game), complete the game, and then write over the save file with your backed up file. Good luck!
also , ig ur talking about the fingers and the frenzy lock ending . so my question is if i take the ranny , and then the normal ending , can i fast travel to get the fingers and come back and take the frenzy ending?
Yes you can. And also, you can open the door to Mohg if you want but you will have to get the needle to undo it so you can get the other endings. In my playthrough I opened the door early and got the needle later, but most importantly you have to backup your save before you do anything you cannot undo. Hope that makes sense! So for you: 1. Defeat boss 2. Backup save 3. Take Ranni ending 4. Load save 5. Use needle 6. Take Frenzy ending If you already are in Frenzy mode: 1. Defeat boss 2. Backup save 3. Take Frenzy ending 4. Load save 5. Use needle 6. Take Ranni ending
So I have already met the 3 fingers and gotten the frenzied flame, couldn't I just do the frenzy ending then reload and go to placidusax and remove it, then do the regular ending, and then do the ranni ending? Or am I just screwed?
You’re not screwed, the order you just described is exactly how I did it. Make sure you’ve done Millicent’s quest for the needle. If you got the needle you’re all good 👍 don’t forget to reload after regular ending as well.
Bro why would you say don’t open the door until the final boss , I beat the final boss and I opened the door and now I can only get the frenzy. You should of mentioned to open after you chose the ranni and regular endings
Have you got Miquella’s needle? You can use that to undo frenzy. But at this point you should back up the save, get frenzy ending first. Then load your save and use the needle and choose Ranni. Load and use needle, choose regular.
Yep. But make sure you backup your save. If you use the needle first and then backup your save, you’ve now locked yourself out of frenzy ending lol. Look up Millicent’s quest to get Miquella’s needle. After you get it, go to Farum Azula to fight an amazing boss and then use the needle in that boss room.
@@fearitselff1257 even better! Stroll in there and use it in peace. Let me stress this point though: Make sure you back up your save before using it. Once you undo frenzy, YOU CAN'T REDO frenzy. So back up your save.
If you did not back up your save after radagon/elden beast and BEFORE you chose the elden lord ending, you have to play NG+. Back up the game before choosing an ending.
I don’t know if there’s another method without some sort of hacking, but maybe you can get the shortest ps plus available? Like one week, or one month? Otherwise I assure you the second and third play through is very fast and easier.
I don't have a PS + subscription for cloud back up. Do I need a special flash drive to store my back up save on (you mentioned "formated for PS5) ? I'm on PS4
I'm using a normal 16gb USB 2.0 Sandisk stick. In fact I think the USB method ONLY works for PS4 as I cannot currently see the option to copy to USB drive on my PS5 games, but the option is listed for my PS4 game data. My stick is formatted to FAT32 because I use it to transfer stuff to MacOS but I believe NTFS is better? Not sure, but you can use whatever format that the PS4 chooses.
Thats right. If you don’t want to get the needle, you can get the first two endings, and then go meet the three fingers for your last ending. This is assuming you have been following Irina’s quest. And also that you have backed up your save after the last boss.
Yep that's her. It's because she is part of the quest line to meet the fingers. Tbh it's been almost a year since I did this game so some of the process is a little hazy, but you should be safe and do her quest anyway, and stop at the very last part until you're ready to go through the door. It's an easy quest line so don't worry 🙂
How to do that using USB key ? I just save the file on the key, then do an ending, delete the save from my console, and copy the file from the Key to the console and do it over and over until i get all endings ??
You don't need to delete the save from your console, just overwrite it using the file on the USB key. Make sure you double check everything when doing this as you don't want to overwrite the wrong file! You will probably have to format the USB stick for PS4 saves as well.
@@VidVayder That's the issue, im on PS5, and you cant copy game file like you could on PS4, your forced to either reboot your whole console, which can be pretty dangerous i think, im not sure she's made to sustained multiple reboot, or to get a PS+ membership to copy your save on the cloud ^^' you should write that in the video description ^^'

Yes it gets rid of frenzied flame ending permanently. So you have to choose the right moment to use it. If you already have the frenzy then: 1. Beat the boss and backup your save 2. Choose frenzy ending 3. Reload your backed up save and use needle 4. Choose different ending 5. Reload your backed up save and use needle 5. Choose different ending

Finish Ranni's questline first, yes. And also, upload your save to the cloud after the last boss and when you open up the last grace point. For the three fingers, this is up to you IF YOU HAVE THE MIQUELLA'S NEEDLE. Sorry for caps, the needle is VERY important. If you have the needle, you can interact with three fingers whenever you want. The needle will reverse three fingers near the end of the game. If you don't have the needle then beat last boss, upload your save, meet the three fingers, get the ending. Overwrite your console file with the uploaded save file from cloud, then get another ending and repeat. Let me know if that makes sense, I know it can sound quite confusing 😄
Does this still work as of 18th May 2023? Also, I have a 5gb HDD backup for my PS5 and to keep PS4 games on. Would I be able to use that for backing up saves, or does it have to be a USB? Also, is there something I should particularly avoid whilst trying to do this? I haven't met the three fingers yet, so, as I understand it, do I have to leave the chaos ending until last, or not? I'd prefer to end on The Age if Stars ending really. If you're touched by the three fingers, can you still do the age of stars ending? I was going to do: 1. Meding Rune ending and then reload. 2. See the three fingers and get the chaos ending. 3. Reload and do the Age of Stars Ending (because the three fingers locks you out of the mending rune ending only as far as I know, not Age of Stars ending). (I have done Ranni's quest and unlocked that ending, I'm just not quite sure how to handle the chaos ending, is all). I just don't want to mess it up. If I have questions, I doubt myself. Anybody got any advice as to whether this would work or whether it wouldn't + any other pointers? I struggle following instructions that aren't clear-cut down to the bone otherwise I ask questions that weren't explained and fear I may mess it up😅
It’s my fault for not being clearer. Here are some answers: Q: Does it still work? A: I’m pretty sure it does. The method relies on being able to back up your game save, which is still possible via PS+. Q: Does it work with your external drive A: I don’t know but it doesn’t hurt to try and see if you can back up a save right now. If you can’t then get a free trial for PS+ or sub for one month or even less if possible. Q: Can you get the Chaos Ending first? A: Yes. You can do any ending in any order AS LONG AS YOU BACK UP YOUR SAVE AFTER KILLING LAST BOSS. That’s the most important bit. Back it up so you can keep loading to that same state where you’ve just finished killing the boss. If you want to meet the Three Fingers before doing any of this, you can. But make sure you have Miquella’s Needle so you can undo your frenzy state to choose a different ending. Remember that the key here is to back up your save after you’ve killed the last boss so you can always go back to a point in time before you’ve made any choices. That list you set out with actions 1 - 3 is perfect, that would work.

Like, even if I am 99.9% sure I am right about something, that 00.1% will make me doubt myself (+ plus other things that make it difficult). But yeah, I'll try backing up a save on my HDD first and seeing if it works. I don't have Miqellas's needle, but I've defeated Melenia & I believe I've finished Millicents quest, but I aren't sure. Just curious. Should we go through with lighting the torch in the MToTG or should we take the frenzied flame and do it ourself? I don't want to continue with that step without knowing which way is best lol.
It’s been a few years mate. What’s MToTG? Is that the big saucer thing you have to light up after killing fire giant? You can light it either way, but if you take the frenzied flame and do it yourself, you need to make sure to get Miquella’s Needle and kill Placidusax. You will also miss a very short scene with the one eyed girl if you light it yourself ( I think, might be the other way around). Either way, back up your save after the last boss and before choosing your ending.

I put 100 hrs into this game in than the past 5-6 days.
Being far from a professional gamer or souls-expert, it's fair to say it was an EXHAUSTING experience (closest thing to self-torture I ever experienced tbh).
And all that just to fck it up on the very finishing stretches.
I can't believe it.
Really makes me want to smash my head against a wall.
The next play throughs will be much faster, and you’ll get more of your money’s worth. Two plays for three endings isn’t too bad :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH I actually played through Elden ring three times because I didn’t know about this but I actually still and thankful for this video cause I am playing Bloodborne and there were no videos on how to get all three endings in one Playthru for the PS5 and you made this for Elden Ring but I can just follow the directions for Bloodborne I find it way harder then Elden Ring, thanks for making this :))))

This is still very confusing, so I already got Frenzied Flame from Three Finger.. Should I do it like this?
1) Kill Placidusax
2) Don't use Miquella's Needle just yet
3) Kill final boss
4) Save at grace
5) Exit game
6) Backup save file
7) Go back to game
8) Click on Frenzied Flame ending
9) Exit game
10) Replace save file with the save file from step no. 6
11) Go back to Placidusax location
12) Use Miquella's Needle to undo Frenzied Flame
13) Go back to site of grace and click on Ranni's Ending
14) Exit game
15) Replace save file with the save file from step no. 6
16) Go back to Placidusax location
17) Use Miquella's Needle to undo Frenzied Flame
18) Go back to site of grace and click on Elden Lord's Ending

@Bodonism you can watch the whole cutscenes. Even walk around after. The most important thing is to not overwrite that backup save you made on the cloud. That will get you back to the point where you can choose your ending.

I assume I can safely go ahead and burn the Erdtree without locking myself out of any ending trophies then, right?
For the main endings that give you a trophy, no you're fine. But do make sure you've progressed Hyetta (don't go through the door yet) and Ranni's quest to a decent place, just in case. At least start them and get them going before burning the Erdtree. I personally completed both those quests before burning the tree, but I was lucky to have also been doing Millicent's quest, which allowed me to backtrack on a mistake I made with Hyetta.
If you haven't started Hyetta's quest yet, go to the southern island in Limgrave, it's called the Weeping Peninsula. Complete Irina's quest and you will find Hyetta in the very first grace overlooking Liurnia Lake.
I've already completed Ranni's questline, and Hyetta is standing in the underground room with the spooky door which I haven't gone through yet.
It sounds like I'm all good to go. I still have Malenia waiting for me, but she's tough as nails, haha.

Malenia is super fun mate, if I may make a suggestion, put your summon sign outside and help other players with the boss until you learn the move set, so when it's your turn it will feel much easier. I'm on NG+ and I spend a lot of time fighting her with other players. Feels amazing when you learn how to dodge her weapon art (you probably know which one). Very fun fight! Hope you enjoy it 🙂

Last time I tried beating her, I managed to somewhat reliably get to her second phase, and since then I've been exploring other parts of the map and leveling up a bit more, so I feel like I should be able to take her down now.

If you do frenzied flame last you don’t need to do Placidusax at all, though he is an awesome boss so I recommend doing him anyway! To answer your question more directly yes, you can kill dragon boss anytime. He’s required to get rid of frenzy status after meeting three fingers.

Sorry it’s been a long time so my memory is hazy. I think others have asked this question. Do a control F and search for the word PS4 in the comments.
If I had to take a guess I would say yes do the same thing as PS5 method. I have save scummed on PS4 with other games and had zero issues. Just remember to try this after the last boss and before you choose an ending.

If you have your save backed up you can do what you want. As long as you can always go back to the point where you get to choose your ending.
Im a huge dummy and popped rannis ending after getting all the mending runes and didnt back up my save. Oh well, I wouldnt mind new game+, since I know the game forwards and back. Ill come back to this video after i beat elden beast again.
Well it’s worth a second play through. Less stress and more fun. But yeah just remember to backup your save after elden beast. If you do all the quests again you can see all six endings. Only 3 of them give trophies though

Is the door for mohg the one you attack behind the chest because I accidentally hit it. I haven’t gone any further in but does that mean I can’t do the method?
Yes that’s the beginning of it. You need to get all the way to the bottom and get the bonfire save point down there. And you will see two massive doors at the end of a corridor. Don’t go through until you’re ready to get the frenzy ending.
Alternatively if you already went through the double doors and got frenzied, you need to get Miquella’s needle and undo the frenzy when you’re ready to get the other endings.

Yep, if you do it in that order you don’t need to kill Placidusax. That boss is only necessary if you went into frenzy mode earlier in the game.
It is a cool boss fight though so you might want to try it at least once 👍

Thank you. I'm sure you can use it for infinite respecs, again as long as you remember to turn off auto updating on the cloud file, you can respec, try it out in arena and then reload your save.
Not sure how the arena keeps a record of your wins etc and how that might play into it though.
Nobody shows how to do it on ps4. Its different. No such settings. Everyone on youtube only shows ps5
I'm pretty sure you can use both USB and PS+ backups for PS4. Unfortunately I don't have my PS4 with me right now to test it thoroughly, but the concept is the same. Back up your save to cloud or USB (if doing cloud, turn off auto update for that game), complete the game, and then write over the save file with your backed up file. Good luck!
Once you beat radagon and Elden beast can you leave the fractured marika area?
Yes. But grab the save point/bonfire/whatever it’s called first, so you can quick travel back to that room.

Yes you can. And also, you can open the door to Mohg if you want but you will have to get the needle to undo it so you can get the other endings. In my playthrough I opened the door early and got the needle later, but most importantly you have to backup your save before you do anything you cannot undo. Hope that makes sense!
So for you:
1. Defeat boss
2. Backup save
3. Take Ranni ending
4. Load save
5. Use needle
6. Take Frenzy ending
If you already are in Frenzy mode:
1. Defeat boss
2. Backup save
3. Take Frenzy ending
4. Load save
5. Use needle
6. Take Ranni ending

Touchy the ring ending ( just normal elden lord ending). Don’t overwrite your backup until you get all 3!!!
So I have already met the 3 fingers and gotten the frenzied flame, couldn't I just do the frenzy ending then reload and go to placidusax and remove it, then do the regular ending, and then do the ranni ending? Or am I just screwed?
You’re not screwed, the order you just described is exactly how I did it. Make sure you’ve done Millicent’s quest for the needle. If you got the needle you’re all good 👍 don’t forget to reload after regular ending as well.

Have you got Miquella’s needle? You can use that to undo frenzy. But at this point you should back up the save, get frenzy ending first. Then load your save and use the needle and choose Ranni. Load and use needle, choose regular.

Yep. But make sure you backup your save. If you use the needle first and then backup your save, you’ve now locked yourself out of frenzy ending lol.
Look up Millicent’s quest to get Miquella’s needle. After you get it, go to Farum Azula to fight an amazing boss and then use the needle in that boss room.

If you did not back up your save after radagon/elden beast and BEFORE you chose the elden lord ending, you have to play NG+. Back up the game before choosing an ending.
Can you go back to Fractured Marika if you've already beaten the elden beast. If so how, because after you leave the area there's no way back in.
Yes you can. Go to your map and look for the quick travel/grace point. It should be somewhere in the Erdtree area.

I don't have a PS + subscription for cloud back up. Do I need a special flash drive to store my back up save on (you mentioned "formated for PS5) ? I'm on PS4
I'm using a normal 16gb USB 2.0 Sandisk stick. In fact I think the USB method ONLY works for PS4 as I cannot currently see the option to copy to USB drive on my PS5 games, but the option is listed for my PS4 game data. My stick is formatted to FAT32 because I use it to transfer stuff to MacOS but I believe NTFS is better? Not sure, but you can use whatever format that the PS4 chooses.

Thats right. If you don’t want to get the needle, you can get the first two endings, and then go meet the three fingers for your last ending. This is assuming you have been following Irina’s quest. And also that you have backed up your save after the last boss.

Yep that's her. It's because she is part of the quest line to meet the fingers. Tbh it's been almost a year since I did this game so some of the process is a little hazy, but you should be safe and do her quest anyway, and stop at the very last part until you're ready to go through the door. It's an easy quest line so don't worry 🙂

I save scummed on Bloodborne yes, but only for two of the endings. Just before you have to make a certain choice before fighting a final boss.

If you haven't backed it up on PlayStation+ I think you're out of luck unfortunately.
How to do that using USB key ? I just save the file on the key, then do an ending, delete the save from my console, and copy the file from the Key to the console and do it over and over until i get all endings ??
You don't need to delete the save from your console, just overwrite it using the file on the USB key. Make sure you double check everything when doing this as you don't want to overwrite the wrong file!
You will probably have to format the USB stick for PS4 saves as well.
@@VidVayder That's the issue, im on PS5, and you cant copy game file like you could on PS4, your forced to either reboot your whole console, which can be pretty dangerous i think, im not sure she's made to sustained multiple reboot, or to get a PS+ membership to copy your save on the cloud ^^' you should write that in the video description ^^'

Yes it gets rid of frenzied flame ending permanently. So you have to choose the right moment to use it. If you already have the frenzy then:
1. Beat the boss and backup your save
2. Choose frenzy ending
3. Reload your backed up save and use needle
4. Choose different ending
5. Reload your backed up save and use needle
5. Choose different ending
Before i download it on the cloud i should finish ranii’s quest and interact with the three fingers ? Or once i finish the last boss i go to the three fingers
Finish Ranni's questline first, yes. And also, upload your save to the cloud after the last boss and when you open up the last grace point.
For the three fingers, this is up to you IF YOU HAVE THE MIQUELLA'S NEEDLE. Sorry for caps, the needle is VERY important. If you have the needle, you can interact with three fingers whenever you want. The needle will reverse three fingers near the end of the game.
If you don't have the needle then beat last boss, upload your save, meet the three fingers, get the ending. Overwrite your console file with the uploaded save file from cloud, then get another ending and repeat.
Let me know if that makes sense, I know it can sound quite confusing 😄

I'd prefer to end on The Age if Stars ending really. If you're touched by the three fingers, can you still do the age of stars ending?
I was going to do:
1. Meding Rune ending and then reload.
2. See the three fingers and get the chaos ending.
3. Reload and do the Age of Stars Ending (because the three fingers locks you out of the mending rune ending only as far as I know, not Age of Stars ending).
(I have done Ranni's quest and unlocked that ending, I'm just not quite sure how to handle the chaos ending, is all).
I just don't want to mess it up. If I have questions, I doubt myself. Anybody got any advice as to whether this would work or whether it wouldn't + any other pointers?

It’s my fault for not being clearer. Here are some answers:
Q: Does it still work?
A: I’m pretty sure it does. The method relies on being able to back up your game save, which is still possible via PS+.
Q: Does it work with your external drive
A: I don’t know but it doesn’t hurt to try and see if you can back up a save right now. If you can’t then get a free trial for PS+ or sub for one month or even less if possible.
Q: Can you get the Chaos Ending first?
A: Yes. You can do any ending in any order AS LONG AS YOU BACK UP YOUR SAVE AFTER KILLING LAST BOSS.
That’s the most important bit. Back it up so you can keep loading to that same state where you’ve just finished killing the boss.
If you want to meet the Three Fingers before doing any of this, you can. But make sure you have Miquella’s Needle so you can undo your frenzy state to choose a different ending.
Remember that the key here is to back up your save after you’ve killed the last boss so you can always go back to a point in time before you’ve made any choices.
That list you set out with actions 1 - 3 is perfect, that would work.

Don't apologise, it isn't your fault. I have ADHD and I struggle taking in/processing information. Like, even if I am 99.9% sure I am right about something, that 00.1% will make me doubt myself (+ plus other things that make it difficult).

It’s been a few years mate. What’s MToTG? Is that the big saucer thing you have to light up after killing fire giant?
You can light it either way, but if you take the frenzied flame and do it yourself, you need to make sure to get Miquella’s Needle and kill Placidusax. You will also miss a very short scene with the one eyed girl if you light it yourself ( I think, might be the other way around).
Either way, back up your save after the last boss and before choosing your ending.

Hmm I’m not sure. Try it closer to the centre maybe? That shouldn’t be an issue though. Are you going to inventory and trying to use it there?
