RIP! This is why Left Brain passed this year two months before she did on 8/21/21. He knew he was going to have to walk all that luggage to the Pearly Gates! I like to think he was so frugal because he was saving up points for extra special deluxe accommodations for when she got there. May they both rest in peace.
Do any other fans of this lady hit the "Like" button, before they've seen the video? I just know I'm going to like it, so why not get that out of the way.
I know she’s teasing her husband - but the way she says things makes me think they must be the world’s cutest couple! Able to accept each other’s differences and make a joke about it! 🥰
What's so funny about these stories is that they are real. People are really like "Left Brain", bless his heart and we all know someone like him or worse yet, we are him.
Yes my husband was exactly like him. He was always calculating what was the cheapest way to do something or the cheapest price was always the determining factor in what he was going to buy. It was never about quality or convenience.
Yup. I came across in a Salvation Army thrift store a great, great deal! 63 hard-back French graphic novels! Okay, ex-library copies, but c'mon, am I gonna walk away from that? Noooooo! But-- 63 hard-back French graphic novels (Spirou, Vaillant, Alix) are heeeeavy! No problem, it's only about 40 blocks home, surely there's a discarded shopping cart I can use? Why yes, there is! Load 'em up and move 'em out! . . . . . . . . . at 5 pm on a December night in a Prairie city, pushing a heeeeeeavy shopping cart on snowed-up sidewalks, wheels catching, cart hitting icy ridges . . . . long story short, took a bus home, and may I say, such nice people driving buses, patiently waiting as I grab a box of books, drop 'em in the bus, go back, grab another box, go back, move the cart out of the bus's way . . . . such a relief, such a joy, the bus moving, block after block passing by, knowing that if I'd stayed with the cart I'd have gone a block closer to home by the time the bus reached downtown . . . . and I get off the bus, grabbing one box and putting it on a bus bench, going back in and grabbing the other, and the bus leaves, and it's only three blocks to get home . . . . . and is there a discarded shopping cart around? No there is not! Noooooo problem, grab one box, carry it half a block, drop it on a beautifully convenient cement fence instead of having to carefully lower it to the ground to eventually lift it up again . . . . go back, grab the other box, carry it a bit past the first box, place it on a convenient garbage can, go back to the other box, and is there a convenient shopping cart nearby? There is not, but there are these big plastic recycling bins with wheels at the back of a nearby apartment block, and oh my god so much easier to pull a bin filled with my books, a bin that I've emptied of recyclables into other bins because I am not a litterer all the way home . . . . and then after dropping my books off at home I bring the bin three blocks back to where I got it, because sure I borrowed it without permission, but just leaving the bin where it doesn't belong, now that is just rude and inconsiderate!
It takes actual talent to be funny without foul language/shock value. We lost true talent, but she’s home with the Lord and Left Brain. Rest in Peace. 💜💜💜
What an amazing woman and wife! I swear, she is a straight up NINJA when it comes to setting boundaries, and not owning other people's problems. I'm married to a Left Brain, and I'm watching this as much for the education as I am for the laughs.
What a hilarious woman! I'd only ever seen her "Don't Send a Man to the Grocery Store" before. I didn't realize she was a professional comedienne. Hilarious!
Their love must have been so strong living with each other being so different. She seems like a really lovely lady with a great sense of humor and that accent makes it even better. I'm glad there's these recordings from her talks so we can laugh with her even now that she can't, rest her sweet soul.
She really can make the differences between men and women so clear and funny. I really almost pee my pants watching some of her stories. May she rest in peace and her speeches continue to be available to future generations.
RIP Jeanne thanks for the laughs. Glad you and LB are reunited and hopefully driving a red Porsche, eating burgers w/cheese, vanilla milkshakes, 7up pound cake!
Suffering from Depression for many Years, there is not much joy in my Life. But when i need a good smile and a laugh, i always come back to Jeanne`s Speeches here on UA-cam. She is soo funny and has a wonderful ability to tell Stories. Thanks so much Jeanne for always putting me in a better Mood with your amazing sense of humor.
I just learned a gem of a lesson today: she turned what could have been frustration into humour. I think my hubs and hers could have been great friends ;)
This is the one story of Jeanne’s that really made me realize that I too married a "left brain" man. When we moved; whether it was across the country or just across town, my husband used towels or clothes to pack dishes, etc. He too found a "better way." Thank you Jeanne! I always knew my Bill thought differently - now I know he is in good company.
Hey! I did that for my dishes. One has to pack towels & linens anyway, make use of them. lol. I am NOT left brain. Just did that, this last move. I had too much stuff....so I consolidated.
Hello Deborah, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, and love all over you, I would love to be your friend, where are you from?
OMG OMG I hadn't thought of that. I will be good the rest of my life so I can go in that direction and see them together. I would have to bring 100 packs of depends with me to sit on!!!!!

You gave her much happiness and I have found much humor in my life since I discovered you as well. You have made the world a better place and may God bless you richly for all that you’ve done to raise our spirits especially during hard times.❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This story reminds me so much of my dad who is left brain. He takes the bus in Hawaii and carries all the luggage and and a couple of boxes. Excluding the golf clubs this is almost perfect my father lol
I learned about Jeanne Robertson just a few days ago, and started watching her recordings on YT. I believe I would've gotten along quite well with Left Brain. And it makes me feel good about myself 🙂 May they both rest in peace.
I had to pause the video and check to make sure I understood... She's gone? Oh no!!! Yeah, it hurts. I will miss seeing her from her backporch... Be at peace Jeanne

i love this! my dad is so like left brain and my mom is like Jeanne :D they do the same types of things, my dad always trying to save money and my mom wanting to enjoy herself and do whats more pleasant/convenient, not what saves a couple bucks! found jeanne before she passed, sad about their passing, several years ago now, but im SO glad for this channel so we can continue to hear all her wonderful stories.
