Hey y’all know how when you touch something sugary, like syrup, it’s sticky? That is because the molecules are forming tiny, weak bonds with the proteins in your skin. This is called glycation. However, with time in yourr body, sugar can form advanced glycation end products (AGEs) with the proteins in your body, including collagen. It’s the same chemical reaction that causes bread to become dark brittle toast, catalized when you put it in the toaster. Sugar ages you, your skin, and your joints.
Is red light therapy safe for people of color? Really want to try it out but Haven't seen much info on it and obviously don't want to damage my skin. Thanks!
Just drained my wallet and purchased a red light therapy mask, it’s obviously a competitor to your sponsor but one that Dr. Dray endorsed. Hoping for the best!
I got the Omnilux because it was endorsed by Dr Dray and they’ve been around since 2003 producing medical grade equipment. Although I would say this product at its’ price puts it at “consumer” grade. The mask shown here looks more comfortable, it’s rigid so it might last longer. The omnilux is very flexible which is typically not ideal with all the wires running through it.
@@BornAdventurerI have been using Omni lux for about 5 years now!! Found out about it from Angie ( Hot and Flashy) . Because it is so flexible I use it on my neck and chest. Actually bends so perfectly under my chin to my chest ! Saving myself that extra money !!!
If you don't keep your face and neck out of the sun 100% you'll just destroy the new collagen created by using the red light mask. However you'll find that micro needling works better
I've done hair removal from unwanted face areas (through electro-needles, IPL and dyode laser), scrubs with extra-virgin olive oil & raw cane sugar, ultrasound cleansing, radiofrequency, oxygen-therapy, EMS for the facial muscles, lipomax for the double chin, face yoga, soft mewing, chewing gum, skin resurfacing with Erbium laser, hyaluronic acid serum, collagen serum, pomegranate hydrating cream, aloe vera hydrating cream, medical icepacks, oral supplementation with tyrosine, copper, catalase, silicium, elastin, vitamin A, liposomal vitamin C, glycine, lysine, ubiquinol, glutathione, biotin, niacin, pantotenic acid, NAC, S-AMe, zinc, alpha-lipoic acid, magnesium bisglycinate, keratin, elastin, glucosamine, DHA fatty acids, cholecalciferol, carnitine, astragalus, HMB, BPC-157, TB-500, spermidine, ergothioneine, PQQ, NADH, trans-resveratrol and quercetin. And now at 40 I look almost 10 years younger.
Celebrate who you are. Women have bought into the goal of perfection at all costs while not accepting that we can age gracefully. Working in an all-girls high school, young women are obsessed with beauty, feeding into depression, low self esteem, weight issues and only feel valued when they have a boyfriend. Self acceptions is lost. We have created a world of buying expensive products to change us. True beauty come from within, what we eat, movement, positive thoughts. A smile, great conversational skills, a compassionate heart, genuine, confidence, intelligence, critical thinking skills are some of the most beautiful things I see in my students. Personal care is important but not at the expense of teaching these women they are not good enough. The beauty industry are looking to make money, with little concern for the negative impact women are dealing with. Follow the money.
hi Doc. I'm really interested about your product. I have only 1 question, most important for me: what about animal test! Are they cruelty free? Thank you for your sincer answer
Certainly hope not! You love animals so much, why not send a nasty letter to the Federal government in New York about what they did to that poor squirrel?
Collagen supplements are made from animals, so that one is a form of animal cruelty. Instead, just eat healthy food that support your own body's ability to make it's own collagen.
I drink hydrolized collagen peptides. You don't even notice it in your drink. :) I only started recently (since I turned 32). But I've always looked like I'm younger because I wear sun protection A LOT.
[QUESTION] Is it possible to consume too much of collagen supplements? Could it put one at risk of abnormal scarring, like keloid, from excessive collagen deposition during wound healing? Just curious because I’m really interested in trying out collagen supplements, but am unsure of what may be the side effects. Thank you!
So a doctor suggested I take a collagen supplement when I got diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos years ago. And I take it, but sometimes I wonder what the point is. If my body makes defective collagen, will it really do anything to help by getting it to make even more? 😅 Anyway, don't have to worry about wrinkles here. I have seriously crepey skin, but when you have defective collagen that's too stretchy, it doesn't break, causing wrinkles it just keeps stretching. I'll be one of those saggy skinned old ladies that look like a doll like my mom and grandma, not all wrinkly. Lol
Those masks are usually hundreds of dollars so unless you're willing to drop the cash I'd recommend just eating the healthy diet and using a night time retinol.

No you silly Billy. Let me help. Protein is protein no matter it’s source. Plant protein comes with other benefits such as antioxidants and vitamins. Animal protein is a complete chain so the body can use it faster which can cause cells to divide before the body naturally terminates ones that are sick or cancerous. To get a complete protein from plants you need to combine. This slows aging. Animal protein comes with nitrates (to keep it red or else a corpse turns grey rather quickly) and cholesterol. Both of these age the body. Animal agriculture is also the number 1 cause of environmental destruction which will affect aging by increasing free radicals.

Eating proteins
Taking collagen supplements
Apply sun protection
Apply retinoid cream
I hear eating sensible food and not starving yourself helps keep your skin properly hydrated.
