I just love you Dr. Youn. You go where no Dr. Has gone before!! That lip plumper attempt was epic!!
So, as you didn’t say it, I will: certain pills are coated to camouflage an awful taste, but other pills are coated to protect it from your stomachs acidic environment, and they are meant to disintegrate first when it reaches the duodenum. If you dissolve a pill in a syringe as showed here, you need to know that the pill can be safely divided and crushed without compromising your health.
Yes some pill bottles will say do not crush/ do not open capsule, or I’ve even seen ‘do not put under your tongue.’
Important to know. Also, time-release medications have different thicknesses of coatings on the granules, so they dissolve at different rates, which is how they release the medication over time. Crushing or chewing those meds can be harmful because you're releasing more medication more quickly than you should.
And, there they are! The internet intellects who make it their mission pointing out just how smart they are while simultaneously talking as if everyone else is severely challenged in the IQ department!
Thank you, to each of you, for stating the obvious!!
I find it completely entertaining and useless so do keep up the good work of trying to make yourselves appear superior to the rest of the world!
I always have to ask if i can crush pills since if i cant then i need something else as I cannot swallow pills,
@@chihuahua0965
How do you get past the taste of a crushed pill?
I once had to have a medication compounded into a liquid because the pills were HUGE.
The medication must have had a really vile taste, because the resulting liquid was disgustingly sweet, I'm assuming to cover the medication taste.😖
I love the mirror -- the etching reminds me of 1920's (?) .. it make me feel all cozy inside. Also: albeit pricey, many Philip Thomas Roth products are *chef's kiss.
Yes!!!
I am curious now! Do you want to divulge the pricepoint on the PTR skin tightener that Dr Youn mentions? For those of us too lazy to google, that is. Lol.
@@Mister_Listener approximately $48 usd
@@mbr7156 thanks! But I was expecting you to say something a lot higher! Sure, $48 is a lot of cash, but the PTR is a lower price-point than the plexiderm as seen on tv that i use. When that’s gone, PTR, here i come, lol. 😉
@@Mister_Listener sure thing...
The PTR eye cream is the real deal. It lasts about 4 hours on me before it starts to wear off. Definitely a good temporary fix 👍 be prepared to spend on it though it's pricey.
Ohhh and it tends to leave a film once it dries(on me) it doesn't look good if you put makeup on top or even a very light concealer application so be aware.
Yes, it works, but it’s useless because you can’t use concealer, powder, or any kind of cream with it
This PTR stuff is sorcery. I use it all the time and it’s worth every penny!
How long does it last? Do you use it everyday? My under eye bags look terrible compared to others my age:(
@@rubyrayrenteriasanteria8650 a few hours. I never actively tested it, but I notice at the end of the day that it has worn off.
@@lojoinpoho thanks
Someone once told me that Preparation H worked the same way. I never tried it but remembered the minute you said you could feel the tightening around your eyes. I may finally try it and if it works I’ll let you know 👍🏻😊
It works believe me ,I still use it everyday .
Actually I,ve seen the video, it does work.
Wasn't it some shark oil that made skin tight but no longer used in the USA?
doctors warn against it ..cause it might damage the blood vessels or somthin
It works, and it can be worn under makeup.
The pill dissolving one is how we do it for dogs that won't swallow pills but need to take medication. Super helpful. They still aren't going to like the taste but it is MUCH easier to get them to swallow a liquid.
If “lettuce water” makes you stoned or sleepy, why wouldn’t eating regular lettuce have the same effect? I call full cap.
I feel sleepy every time I eat a lot of lettuce. Never heard of people drinking lettuce water to feel sleepy, though. 😂
I mean, it could be cap or could be a placebo effect or whatnot, but it also doesn't seem harmful to try, especially if someone is susceptible to dependency issues and doesn't want to take sleeping pills
When we toured overseas, I was given a sort of lettuce soup. It definitely relaxed me, but I thought it was because of the warm water. Yet I've never had the same effect with teas or other soups... sooo possibly plausible
Kind of the same reason why eating raw cannabis won't get you high, but smoking it does.
Wild lettuce is potent in some interesting chemicals that are utilized by herbalists for various ailments. I maintain it's plausible, especially if using the more potent wild lettuce. It grows like a weed. and when you break it, it has far more of the white, bitter substance that the more hybridized market lettuce has lost in its breeding. This is to say: my curiosity is piqued.
My mom used to bath me with lettuce leaves as a baby, it helps, if you don't like to drink it you can incorporate some lettuce in your tub with warm water I don't have any allergic reaction to this practice even though I have atopic dermatitis and very sensitive skin with Eczema, works for me since I was a baby
I love the humor side of Dr. Youn 😁
The peppermint and pepper lip plumper reminds me how back in the day women used to put belladonna/nightshade in their eyes to dilate the pupils because that was considered beautiful. It worked because it was toxic lol. (PSA: do not put poison plant juice in your eyeballs.)
The Bee sting one sounds like something Dr. Ricky Brown could try.
Please let viewers know that some pills are required to be taken whole to be effective.
I get that he's a plastic surgeon, not a medical doctor but its still quite alarming that he gave the green light on this one without any caveats.
So true, doctors will tell you this.
It's on the pill's packages and on RX bottles and inserts.
Some are unsafe when crushed or dissolved (if they’re time-released).
I have a daughter who was born with a cleft palate and she couldn't swallow pills. An very nice, older nurse showed me the syringe and pill "trick" about 25 years ago.
It's also good for pets that won't take pills.
You need to be sure the pill isn’t a time release or specially coated to be broken down specifically once it reaches duodenum. Those cannot safely be used that way.
@@betterwiththeirish Yes, of course. That's common sense.
@@jenncleveland I believe so as well. Unfortunately not everyone has that these days! In pediatrics we would tell parents to crush it up in applesauce (it helps with the nasty taste too), but this is a great alternative also!
I use a skin tightener that’s made by Strivectin called “Hyper lift eye” and it also takes about 10 years off of your age and it lasts for hours!
Oh, and in my pageant days we used preparation H to tighten puffy eyes. I still use it under my makeup on puffy days. My husband saw it in my make-up bag when we were dating, and said, "You have hemorrhoids!?" 😂😂😂😂😂
I used to use it also but it was in a gel form and it worked! I found when they changed it to a cream it didn't work the same 🤷♀️
OMG that's funny!!! 🤣🤣✌️
Be careful doing that since it can thin the skin. Under eyes are already very thin
You can still get preparation h in a ointment, just have to look for it.
@@lisaryherd4685 you can yes but I don’t recommend using under the eyes. The skin is very delicate and this can thin the skin even more and other effects
I'm not sure about regular lettuce but wild lettuce or also has its known opium lettuce is used this way has a natural sedative.
I need this first hack!
I am just worried that by using this too much the skin will begin to sage more because of the tighning. Can anyone confirm or debunk this please ?
My grandmother has used these under eye tightening creams for years and never had amy issue with more sagging. If anything the more you use it the longer the effect seems to last overtime
Thanks Doc, for trying these things so we don't have to. Live long and prosper.
Would it be SAFE to take medications that way though? I know some are coated or time released so I would think taking it on liquid form would probably taste worse and may also be work correctly.
You’re absolutely correct please don’t use this hack with extended release pills
This method is only for those pills that are meant to dissolve quickly in the stomach acid. The timed release pills should not be taken this way unless you have the doctor's permission.
Probably maybe also ask your pharmacist.
In order to relax, I prefer either sweet basil or cinnamon basil. Very effective.
what are the topical lip plumping products you recommended? love your content dr. youn !
I bought stuff like that 20 years ago in a pharmacy in Canada. It did tighten and fill in cracks. But when you smiled it cracked and flaked & you couldn't wear makeup or creams over it.
as far as the comments show this is the same thing basically
On a general note which Cream is best for dark circles? Waiting for your reply guy's.......
Well, If you are going to make tea from a plant, you really need to 'break' the fibers more. chop it up into smaller pieces, then steep it. I'm guessing a lot of the 'high' she felt could be from the chemicals (poisonous pesticides) sprayed on the lettuce.. I would advise against trying this unless your lettuce is organic and free from poisons & pesticides. But if it does work to help get a better night sleep, that is pretty cool.... nature is so awesome!
The instant eye tightener didn't work for me....but somebody told me I didn't have enough baggage so idk 🤷🏿♀️
Think it depends on what cause the bags I herd in a nother video a Dr said she had some kind of muscle atrophy and the cream mad the muscle contract
I wonder if cabbage/greens works just as well because my grandmother used to give us pot liquor then all of a sudden I'm laying down 😴
Will that first product cause sagging by pulling and tugging the skin around it? Should you only use it if you have noticably baggy eyes?
As a person who can’t swallow large pills, I really like that syringe idea! 😊 However, there is one antibiotic I know I will never do that with. It’s bad enough I have to cut it with the pill cutter. You’re not supposed to cut or crush it because of the bad taste, but there’s no coating on it, so you’re tasting it anyway, so… yeah.
Thanks to this video on the eye cream I purchased it and it does work, so thank you Doctor for the information on that cream. 💗💗
Hi Carol, i am also interested to buy the eye cream but I didn’t catch the name.kindly write the name of the eye cream that Doctor Youn is recommending. Thank you in advance.
I bought this product and returned it.. as others have commented as a female you can't wear any products on your skin with this product not before nor after and even being very careful to put a thin layer it's still leaves a white cast... And you can't cover the whole bag because the closer you get to your lower eyelid.. it will pull that eyelid down and can do it severely which is what happened to me so I had to quickly wash it off and start over 🤣
Most pills say do not crush so this would slow the rate of absorption. Liquefying the pill would cause too much too quick in some pills so read your prescription bottle first.
I wouldn't mess around when it comes to medication..There is a reason it comes with a warnings.
Where the heck did that pill crushing hack come from??? I’ve been a nurse for 20 years and I’ve never ever seen that!!
Waiting for something for dark under eye which can fix like this temporary 😁
Hi Dr. Youn!! What about the trend of using fresh Aloe juice for skin cleansing/moisturizing and hair growth?? Any truth to this??
Wow! It really works. Very good.
The eye stuffs, tried it, loved it…UNTIL I started developing little red spots where I had applied it. Stopped using it, they went away.
So, use sparsely, maybe just special occasions, if you choose to use it.
The lettuce test: the sleepiness could be a reaction to the chemicals sprayed on lettuce transferred to the water
It was useful video for me thank you for your interesting videos
DrvYoun please make a video about lipedema it would be useful for many of us
In one of my very old herb books, it states that lettece, if left to shoot. The milky substance can be used as a narcotic.
My mom used to put lettuce leaves in the tub while bathing us, she always told us it relaxes the body to get a better sleep. I never believed her until now. Darn, I didn't try it with my kids.
lol nice ending. Actually I had epilepsy and MCAS so I would take lettuce to control the seizures. I would eat late salad and slept without seizing .
this video was a lot of fun! Thanks!
The “soporific” effect of the lettuce, (especially the milky liquid of freshly cut lettuce) is mentioned in the Beatrix Potter book for children The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
I enjoyed this!
I love your informative videos.
I tried an eye tightener from a drug store a long time ago. I gave up on it because it felt and looked stiff and the film it created on my skin became crackled and flaky as I wore it.
I would love to hear from people on the one Dr. Youn tried (if you've worn it for more than a photoshoot). Does it feel unnaturally stiff and uncomfortable? Does it do weird things as you move your face throughout the day?
Your the best I just love you DR Youn
It should be noted, that the pill trick shouldn't be done with everykind of pill. If your pill shouldn't be crushed or cut in two parts, don't!
You should try it on the upper eyelid around the brow. I'd be curious to see how that works.
The Phillip Roth works but it isn't long lasting. It's great if you're having your picture taken. You can't use foundation or concealer with it.
Ohhh Wow!
I wouldn’t recommend the pull one. Some medications are NOT to be broken up.
The pill one just make sure to read the package so you are allowed to break it up. Some are not and that's not safe then to do so
You are so inspiring ❤️❤️
Lol the lettuce dose work we Hispanics use it to bathe babies when there cranky and crying to much it helps them go to sleep you can also place a lettuce leaf under there pill we don't give babies the lettuce tea because it's to strong for them but we adults use it as a sleep aid😊
Ya not supposed to talk or blink while eye serum is drying, I have used one for years. I do wonder if it is actually bad for the original bags. Great vid.
The Peter Thomas Roth will tighten. But no makeup, moisturizer, and you have to try not to make too many expressions with your eyes. And if you also have dark circles, don’t bother., you can’t cover them up. I have extremely mixed feelings about this product
My son uses a wild lettuce tincture for his migraines with a California poppy tincture since he doesn't have medical insurance. They help him. Medication would be better but at least it helps.
I need something for my eye bags, I thought about buying that cream but I think I want something more permanent.
💖 the challenge Dr!
Appreciate your work🙏🏼, and your true spirit and honor thats rare now a days and a amazing soul✨, and some of the videos are to funny 😆
I have found that the PTR tightening serum leaves behind a haze on my skin.
😂that hair grow helmet 🪖 looks so hilarious
What this called and where do you get it please
I was getting a SILENCE OF THE LAMBS flashback as I was watching you sit in front of the makeup mirror 🤣
So he's not going to mention the name of the tightener that he tried and works?
I love these videos! Thanks for the info!
I’ve never put Elmers Glue on my skin, so don’t know how that feels.
So what happens when you apply anything over it?
The syringe trick we use in veterinary medicine for dogs and cats, especially sucralfate. 😊
Doctors skin looks thirty years younger than first model. Wow!
Do you think it might be the pesticides on the the lettuce?
People ask your doctor before dissolving pills there's some you absolutely do not want to dissolve and then there's some that should only be dissolved in sterile water or saline not tap water.
That was great fun doc.
Wow yes love 💕 all your videos thank you for sharing 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
The restore doesn't work. My husband tries it for over 1 year and there was no change or difference, and he returned it
Also you buy onions and you boil the outside of it that little crispy on the outside boil it drink it you can sweeten it a little if you want with honey or whatever and I'll guarantee you have no more gas in your stomach cause all your gases will come out it really works it's an old remedy
love your videos
Ok
Soap and Glory is a FAB lip PLUMPER! 💋😍✨👌
Models, etc, have been using haemoroid (piles) cream to tighten up eyebags before a photograph shoot for years. Could this be just repackaged haemoroid cream?
How to reduce big lower eye lids. Mine lower eye lid is big, like something filled in it.
In UK health stores sell.Lettuce pills for sleep..apparently they work..!!
Can you put make up over that eye glue product?
Love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 you Dr youn!!
There is no way that First Lady was 54, she looked like she was at least 70
She didn't age gracefully 👵🏻👴🏾🤷🏾♀️ some people do some dont
I love how you had to clarify the tightening was for the eyes 😂😂
The pill one, I will have to try out with my toddler. It'll be a good way for my husband and I to get her to take meds if given in pill form, otherwise it'll just sit in her mouth until it dribbles out (she did that with children's Pepto bismol tablets)
Please talk to your pharmacist first. It's not effective or safe to use this trick with every medication.
@@AlleenLoveHope I plan to whenever she has to take pills again and see what they have to say.
Spanish people use that at least in Puerto Rico remedy for many years it says boil water with letters and then drink the water and you'll go to sleep I've known that for many years
That first product, I'm buying a ton of it. I'll reapply it all day if I have to to keep looking young. I'm saving up for botox and some kind of non invasive skin Tightening thing. I'm only 49 and I'm not ready to look elderly yet.
Which is better botox or microcurrent?
I know it has been told to be careful with light rays if you have melasma, should people use the hair laser from Irestore if they have melasma.
I enjoyed watching this video! 😂
Where is your recommendation for topical lip plumpers?
Is it bad to over moisturize your lips?
The liquid syringe is often used to booty bump crushed methylphenidate or adderall.
I love Trin 🙏🏽💖
