*Makes sense. Head coverings are a sign of humility & spiritual subjection to the woman's authority or head; the man. This should be the choice of the woman to do so. And not the pressure of man.* How can you pray without ceasing if you always have to have your head covered when you pray? Fella's leave this choice up to the woman. If the Most High speaks to her about covering her head in certain aspect's. Then let it be so. If not, don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Or allow it to cause contention. *Remember this walk & life is about balance ↔. We don't wanna be too spiritual. But we don't wanna be too earthly either. Shalom*

I was led to cover my head by Yah. I sewed my first head covering and when I put it on, I felt Yah's heavy presence fall upon me and I fell to the floor in worship. I knew then that keeping my head covered was what Abba wanted of me. I don't even let my children touch my scarves lol...they need to wash their hands. My husband doesn't care whether I cover my head or not but he knows why I do and so therefore, doesn't ask me to have my hair out. It's a very personal and spiritual discipline for me and I feel beautiful when I do.

Hebrew societies didn't wear wedding rings so it makes sense that a married women would cover her head. Thanks so much for breaking it down. The Hebrew culture is all about living in submission to the Most High and His call that we always be decent and in order. If your husband is okay with your head being uncovered you're not disrespecting him. It's not for another man to whom you have not placed yourself in subjection to tell you what you must/should do.

Oh, my gosh, thank you, for your balanced, well-thought-out commentary, much appreciated. You are indeed blessed to carry out this work.
I also love head coverings and love to see our sisters in them, they can look so regal. BUT I absolutely, resent having this doctrine shoved down my throat. I notice the alphabet boys are like broken records when it comes to head covering and pants!!! And it's very infectious, this nonsense seems to spread like wildfire.
I say brush them off; read our Torah and as you said, study to show ourselves approved. I have just made the effort to start reading Torah from scratch (after listening to your husband's channel). Head covering and wearing of pants were on my list for deeper study.
We must try not to get caught up in all the religious dogma. Time is too short, let us enjoy our walk with YaH. Well done. Shalom

Todah for posting this video. I pray that the Most High continues to bless you as you are bringing the truth out by reading the bible and explaining it for what it is and not based on your own understanding. Our people are so confused because we lost everything and comparing some Hebrew words for clarity makes a big difference. I always keep my head covered all day on the Shabbat and whenever I'm going to be praying most of the day or will be a part of an assembly. I now realize that I don't have to cover my head when I go to work unless if I want to. I usually put a scarf in my bag just in case I end up going to an assembly or I feel the need to stop and pray.

I appreciate your view point; however, I see things differently. I believe head covering was not only for that time because Paul said to do it "Because of the Angels"... and Angels are eternal. So it scripture. I also believe the head covering is not the hair but a physical covering because Paul says for a man to remove his covering when he prays. If your hair is a covering, then how can a man take off his hair? Either way, the Lord told me to begin covering my head this year. I heard His voice. I studied it in the scripture (original text: Greek) and found it to be true that it is something we should do that we have always done except for the last hundred years. The whole women's liberation movement in the early 1900's began the process of us women to be proud and disobedient to scripture. Just my two cents worth. I know many will disagree with me.

This is a really great topic! I had not too long ago did a study on it myself and I came up with the same thing from scripture. Married women wore head coverings and I do understand about covering your head when you're in assembly. This is great and help me to see my studying was on point. I'm new to all of this and learning the correct way to live and being fresh out of the christian religion it can be very hard. I thank you for add clarity with the Hebrew word meanings I greatly appreciated this.

    Part One:
If someone believes for certain women heads should be covered there should be two or three witness or two or three verses or teachings regarding this issue. I have never heard of or read a second verse stating women should or must be covered as in head coverings. I am not speaking against 1 Corinthians BUT I am speaking against the understanding that many or most people have regarding it.
Here is the understanding of this head covering.
This Greek word “Kata” is translated in other locations in the Scripture/Bible as “against,” “according to,” “after” and others. Example: Mat 5:11 “Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and falsely say every wicked word against (Kata) you, for My sake.
This word Greek word “Kata” was translated to “Against” in Mat 5:11 and in 1 Corinthians as “Cover” or “Uncover.”
Read the chapter again from 1 Co 11:4 to 11:13 or more if you like. What we are reading here is- A woman does NOT go Against the man. OR a woman does NOT Cover up what the man is praying for. A man does NOT go Against the Messiah. OR a man does NOT Cover up what the Messiah is working. The Messiah does NOT go Against Ahlahayama (God). OR the Messiah does NOT Cover up what The Most High is commanding.

Well said, I love that you show scripture and the Hebrew meaning of the word because I am learning that he was so thorough that, the letters confirmed the meaning of the word and its use in the scripture. There is so much contention in our community based on a number of things driven by the flesh. Your presentation on this and many other videos I've seen from you are always respectful, thorough, informative and in some cases very entertaining. Those that comment in such a negative way, don't have to comment, they chose to, contention is fleshly. Not of Yahuah. I found that, that is how contention works. It only works when they let it be known and it is fueled when others participate in it. I also find that it is the most prevalent when truth is presented. Keep up the good work of Yahuah, may he continue to bless you in your teachings and on your journey, I've learned a lot and look forward to learning more. Shabbat Shalom :)

This makes a lot of sense. I'm still going to pray, study, and read on this topic more, but I appreciate you presenting the topic in truth, humility, and love. I do want to say that it's important to remember that in order for us to clearly understand what you are saying, we must first seek God for understanding. Some women are not going to understand because they have not first submitted themselves to the Lord. If they are married and are still contentious, perhaps they have not yet submitted themselves to their husbands and therefore see no reason to "represent" him within the assembly. I say this will all humility. Submission and humility are practiced and learned. It's something that we are supposed to teach one another as women. It's is also important to say that a single woman might not like what you've said because she doesn't yet have an understanding of the message for the married woman. I pray that God give all those who seek Him for true understanding to understand and to have wisdom. Thanks again for sharing.

An Exposition Of I Corinthians 11:1-16
    by Hiram O. Hutto
The first sixteen verses of the eleventh chapter of Paul's letter to the church at Corinth has been the subject of much controversy. The verses themselves are not difficult to understand, and the controversy has not been so much over the meaning as it has been over their application. On the one hand it is taught that the passage has to do with customs of a people long since dead, and thus the passage is not binding today. On the other hand it is taught that the verses deal not simply with custom of days gone by, but rather constitute a command to be observed throughout the Christian era. As we study the passage let us keep some things clearly in mind:
This is a discussion concerning men and women as they pray and prophesy. The discussion does not concern men and women in their everyday activities of life nor how they ordinarily appear in public, but only how they appear as they pray or prophesy. It may be true, as some contend, that women of Paul's day wen appearing in public always wore a veil, but this is not the subject the apostle discusses in these verses! His discussion concerns praying and prophesying. Hence, any reference to what men and women did or did not do in their ordinary activities of life is completely beside the point and a reference to such is not pertinent to the issue. This passage discusses worship-life, not every-day life.
Furthermore to say that women who appeared in public with their faces unveiled were branded as harlots and thus brought reproach upon the church is to make an assertion that is lacking in conclusive proof. Note this comment in Smith's Bible Dictionary: "Veil. With regard to the use of the veil, it is important to observe that it was by no means so general in ancient times as in modern times. Much of the scrupulousness in respect to the use of the veil dates from the promulgation of the Koran" (Article on the Veil). Thus this eminent authority shows that the wearing of the veil was not nearly so prevalent as some seem to think.
All we know about the subject of covered and uncovered heads while praying and prophesying is found in these sixteen verses. It may be that other passages deal with the headship of Christ, the relationship of man and woman, the wearing of veils, and numerous other things, but no other passage in the Bible deals with the subject of covered and uncovered heads while praying and prophesying except I Corinthians 11:1-16. Hence to this passage we must go to find the truth on the subject.
With this brief introduction in mind, please read in your Bible I Corinthians 11:1-16 and then read the following comments:
    VERSE ONE:
"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."
In all probability this verse belongs as the last verse to the argument in chapter 10 and the American Standard Version so places it.
    VERSE TWO:
"Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I have delivered them to you."
The ordinances here spoken of are "the particular injunctions of Paul's instructions" (Thayer), hence the will of God as expressed through the inspired apostle. Obviously those who keep such should be "praised."
    VERSE THREE:
"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."
The relationships described are as unchangeable as God Himself and as old as the race. They are not based on "custom" nor upon anything else except the Word of God Almighty. Christ is not man's head because custom made it so, but because God made it so. Man is not woman's head because custom so ordered, but because God so ordered. This is the divine order and has nothing to do with custom. Custom did not make these relationships, and custom cannot change them with God. Yet it is upon the high doctrine here asserted that the rest of the argument is based. This is the very foundation of the apostle's argument and without it the rest is meaningless. Since then the very foundation transcends custom, would it not be passing strange if all the rest is completely custom?
    VERSE FOUR:
"Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head."
This verse grows out of and is based upon the relationship laid down in verse 3, viz. "Christ is head of man". But verse three is not founded on custom and therefore neither is this verse. Just as long as Christ remains the head of man, just that long man will dishonor Christ by praying with his head covered. Since man has no head between him and Christ, for a man to cover his physical head while praying or prophesying would be to dishonor his spiritual head, Christ. The covering under consideration is an artificial one such as a veil, a hat, etc., otherwise only bald headed men or men with shaven heads could pray acceptably! Man may not cover his head either with long hair, a hat or a veil when he prays to God. He may have it covered at other times but not when he prays or prophesies for if he does he "dishonors his head." Whatever covering this verse forbids a man wearing, verse five commands a woman to wear; and since this covering is an artificial one then the one a woman is to wear is likewise an artificial one. Whatever covering a man must leave off, a woman must put on.
    VERSE FIVE:
"But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven."
He who denies this denies the Bible! But this verse also grows out of and is based upon verse three, and since the relationship described there is not simply custom neither is the statement made here. And as long as man remains "head of woman" just that long will woman dishonor man when she prays with her head uncovered! And not only so but in dishonoring her "head" (man), woman dishonors herself and God who made man the head of woman. Thus the woman who "prays or prophesies with her head uncovered" dishonors herself, man, and God as well. The covering here spoken of cannot have reference to a woman's hair for the apostle says that for a woman to be uncovered is "as if she were shaven" which shows plainly that she is not shaven (though her condition has the same effect). But since the woman is not shaven, she must have hair, yet the apostle says she is uncovered. So the woman herein described is one that is without covering but with hair, hence the hair cannot be the covering under consideration. Thus the covering is an artificial one such as a shawl, a veil, a hat, etc. Sometimes, however, the question is asked, "What size covering?" God no more designates the size than He does the color and I wonder sometimes if such questions are asked to learn the will of God or to set aside the teaching here given. As a matter of fact God doesn't even tell what the covering is to be other than the obvious fact that it is to be an artificial one, such as already suggested. So then let none be guilty of accusing others of teaching that a woman must wear a hat. I know of no one who so teaches. We do teach that a woman must have her head covered and that a hat will do the job, but the covering does not have to be a hat. A shawl will do, or a kerchief. Any of these can make a covering.
Thus this verse shows plainly that a woman today when praying to God must cover her head with an artificial covering such as a veil, a shawl or a hat, etc. For her to refuse to do so is to bring dishonor upon her head, man, because a covered head on her part is a sign of her subjection to man (vs. 10). A refusal to have this covering is to show she is not in subjection to man nor God ...hence the dishonor not only to man but God as well.
    VERSE SIX:
"For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered."
In other words, if a woman will not cover her head with an artificial covering, let her carry her defiance to its ultimate conclusion, let her save her head. But since a shaven head is a shame to a woman, she should do neither, but rather she should cover her head. The covering here spoken of cannot be the woman's hair for this reason: The woman under consideration in this verse is "not covered" or without covering. Now if the covering and the hair are one and the same, we may substitute the word hair for the word covering in this verse and the meaning will be unchanged. Notice: "If the woman is without covering, let her also be shorn." "If the woman is without hair, let her also be shorn." See the absurdity in the last statement? How can a woman who is "without hair" "also be shorn? How can a woman without any hair, get her hair cut off? The word also in this verse shows plainly once and for all that the covering is not the woman's hair but must be an artificial one as already described. The word shear means "cut off" (Weymouth), "cut short" (Thayer), or "crop" (Expositor's Greek Testament).
    VERSE SEVEN:
"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man."
Please observe the God-given reason for a man not to cover his head, viz. he is the "image and glory of God." Paul does not say nor even hint that a man ought not to cover his head because of some custom of the day. Notice this contrast between what man says and what God says is the reason "a man ought not to cover his head." Man says: "Forasmuch as it is a custom." God says: "Forasmuch as man is the image and glory of God." See the difference in the two statements? Now which will you accept, man's statement or God's? Since Paul did not base his statement on "custom," why should men today do what Paul did not and say what Paul said not? Was man's being in the "image and glory of God" simply a custom? Is not man still, today, in the "image and glory of God"? If he is, he ought not to "cover" his head when praying or prophesying or worshiping God. So says the

Hello and thank you for this wonderful video. I have a couple of questions though which I am confused on and I was hoping you or someone up here with sound understanding would be able to help. If you are married to a man who has yet given his life to the Lord and doesn't want you to cover your head in any way bc he doesn't like the way it looks, what is she suppose to do? Also what if he prefers shorter to medium length hair instead of long hair? I know so many teach so many different things that a woman's hair has to be long, that she should never cut it. But what if her hair grows to a certain length and literally just seems to sit there and just get frizzy and split real bad? I am trying to learn more about this and want to do what the Lord leads me to do but I have not felt a strong leading in my spirit yet to cover. Maybe it's bc I am not educated enough yet. Thanks so much for your help. God bless!!

My 3rd round reading the Bible. So far, sarah i did not read anything about her wearing a head covering. But rebecca did wore a veil over her head i figured before she saw Isaac she covered her face with her veil. So from how it was put in the Bible it seems that rebecca was already wearing a veil amd all she had to do was wear the longer part or perhaps a piece from her veil across her face. I know that when i pray i have to constantly remind myself to wear my head covering and it is sometimes a pain trying to look for my head covering?! I get it now, if i would have my head covering all the time on my head then i would not "Need" to constantly look for a scarf lol. With Rebekah she covered her face before she saw Isaac and went to the tent. Was that a custom before seeing a woman's husband? Because Tamar she was a widow and she covered her face like Rebekah but Judah taught she was a prostitute? Did only women back then covered their face a sign of "prostitute?" Because i am assuming if a woman would cover her face with her veil it is because she was a virgin abouy to be with her husband for the first time before going into the tent like rebekah? I mean that would be interesting

    Shalom Sister Hulda,
Makes a lot of sense about that in an assembly. Question about Make-up? From what I read from the Bible no one wore make up exccept Jezebel and A lot of christians keeps stating Esther did put make up because it says in the Bible. That one clearly states 12 month beauty regimen 6 months perfume and 6 months oil. In history Egyptian created make up as to worship gods in heaven. Any way of shedding this light about make up on women?

With all due respect, sister, this is a "PARABLE" that has nothing to do with the literal head on a womans shoulders. The woman's head is her "husband". She covers her "husbands authority" when praying or prophesying, so as to not allow him to interfere with her prayers which should be between her and The Most High, Yah. Believe it or not, many men try to control every aspect of their wives lives, because so many misinterpret scripture. This is why the "PARABLE" started off listing the order of authority. The man can't cover his "head's" authority, because his head is the Messiah. This doesn't apply to an unmarried woman, because she doesn't have a "head/husband". Try to replace the word "head" with the word "authority" and you should better understand this "PARABLE". Shalom.

Well said, I have always tried to tell people if you think the scripture meant for women to always wear head covering because we (men & women) ought to be praying without ceasing...then I say to them, then men can NEVER wear a hat, because it is a shame for men to pray, or prophesy while having his head covered. Now, we know the three Hebrew boys was thrown into the fiery furnace bound in their coats, their hosen, and their HATS, and their other garments. You don't think they was praying in that furnace.... they had their HATS on. We can get so, out of scripture with food, drink, clothing etc...

Is it true too that Sha'ul was speaking mostly to gentiles and that The Laws in the OT were initially, strictly given to Israelites? And then they agreed later on that only certain Laws were to be mandatory for proselytes ie; circumcision, baptism, abstaining from sexual immorality (can't remember the last one) My point is The Law was non-negotiable , so to speak, for us. And Gentiles who believed were not subject to all that we are subject to because we are Yah's Royal Priesthood and His Holy Nation. So we cover our heads as part of our separation where Gentiles don't have to but can if they so choose. Am I off on that?

Long hair is not the Covering needed in 1 CORINTHIANS 11:1-16, KJV.
If you say it is long hair/hair RATHER THAN putting on a Pierce of Cloth as a symbol of submission to Spiritual order of headship, VERSE 3-6 and 13, then also as symbol of power on woman's head for the presence of angels, VERSE 10, THEN it means:
    1) Every Woman without LONG HAIR Must not PRAY OR PROPHESY
    2) If LONG HAIR is the covering Needed THEN VERSES 5-6,MUST NOT HAVE BEEN WRITTEN.
I have a Teaching on this too be blessed in Christ Jesus alone.

The Corinthian Assembly is always a problematic Assembly. Head covering was not an issue with the other Assemblies Paul went too because they knew what was required.
That is why Paul told them " in Yahweh s Assembly we have no such custom, ". Which custom ?
    Of praying without Head Covering.

So please focus on the exegesis, hermeneutics and contextual teachings of YAH for the answer.

    Part Two:
Chapter 11 has nothing to do with women covering their heads. BUT instead she does not speak something other than what the man as spoken. If a man prays for rain, a woman should NOT pray for drought. If the Messiah gives prophesy, the man should NOT call prophesy false. If The Most High gives a command, the Messiah should not change that command.
Frist the Most High- the Messiah- the man and the woman. Read 1 Co 11:9
NOW read how veil covering relates to a woman about to have sex. Gen 24:65-67, Gen 38:14-16 (two witness/two verses) Another witness/verses regarding 1 Corinthians 11, Gen 3:16.
Also, read Numbers 30:3-16 to get this understanding even more.

Saul and Sheol are exactly the same word in ancient Hebrew and Isaiah tells you exactly who Saul also called Paul was if you know this.
    .
    Saul שאול
    Sheol שאול
    Isaiah 28: 14- 22
Therefore hear the Word of YHVH, scornful men, rulers of this people in Jerusalem. 15 Because you have said, WE HAVE CUT A COVENANT WITH DEATH; and, We have made a vision with SHEOL (Means also SAUL), when the overwhelming rod passes through it will not come to us for we have made the LIE OUR REFUGE, and WE HAVE HIDDEN IN FALSEHOOD. 16 So, Adonai YHVH says this: Behold, I place in Zion a Stone for a foundation, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a sure Foundation; he who believes shall not hurry. 17 And I will lay JUSTICE FOR A LINE, and RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR A PLUMMET; and THE HAIL SHALL SWEEP AWAY THE REFUGE OF THE LIE; and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. 18 And YOUR COVENANT WITH DEATH shall be atoned for; and YOUR VISION WITH SHEOL (PAUL) SHALL NOT RISE UP. When the overwhelming whip passes through, then you shall be for a trampling to it. 19 AS OFTEN AS IT PASSES, it shall take you; for MORNING by MORNING it shall pass; and BY DAY and BY NIGHT, it shall only be A TERROR TO UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE. 20 For the bed is shorter than one can stretch himself on; and the cover is narrower than one can wrap himself in. 21 For YHVH shall rise up, as at Mount Perazim; He shall be stirred as in the Gibeon Valley; to do His work, His strange work; and to perform His task, His foreign task.22 So, then, DO NOT BE MOCKERS, that your bonds not be made strong. For I have heard from Adonai YAHWEH of Hosts that A FULL END IS DECREED ON ALL THE EARTH.
    Hell in Hebrew is
    גֵיהִנוֹם not שָׁאוּל
    Grave in Hebrew is
    קְבוּרָה not שָׁאוּל
Due to massive mistranslations people do not see this.
This is some of the things Paul did that should make you think:
Paul denied Yahusha in the flesh
    Romans 8:3 [RNKJV]
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,יהוה
sending His own Son IN THE LIKENESS (G3667) OF SINFUL FLESH,
and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh
Paul claimed to be the Son of Elohim and there is only ONE ONLY BEGOTTEN
    Galatians 1:15-16
    Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
and when Elohim was well pleased -- having separated me from the womb of my mother, and having called [me] through His grace --TO REVEAL HIS SON IN ME, that I might proclaim him good news among the nations, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.
Paul told a lies and claimed they were the truth of YHVH
    Romans 3:7
For if the truth of Elohim hath more abounded through
MY LIE unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Paul said he was the sacrifice not Yahusha
    Philippians 2:17
Even IF I AM TO BE POURED OUT AS A DRINK OFFERING UPON THE SACRIFICIAL OFFERING OF YOUR FAITH, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Paul gave people to satan to quote save them???????????
    1 Corinthians 5:5
You are to DELIVER THIS MAN TO SATAN for the DESTRUCTION OF THE FLESH ,
so that his SPIRIT MAY BE SAVED in the day of YHVH
    Paul blinded people
"And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time." And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand. (Acts 13:11 NASB)
Paul said YHVH's law kills people
2 Corinthians 3:6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit. FOR THE LETTER KILLS [ G1121 Letter is SPECIFICALLY THE LETTER OF THE LAW OF MOSES, IN THE BARE LITERAL SENSE], but the Spirit gives life.
