Let me add to the mitochondrial function story presented here…. In short, proton pumps that generate ATP use hydrogen, specifically protium. This much is relatively common knowledge, what is not common knowledge is that Deuterium (heavy hydrogen) in the average person’s blood is at massive levels (I.e., add up all the calcium, magnesium, potassium, and glucose in your blood. Combine all of these together and you will approximate the level of Deuterium (D) in your blood). D breaks mitochondrial function, and drives cancer growth rates amongst other things. Lower D = longer health span and longer lifespan. Now you have been introduced to a very very specialized field within cellular biology. ALL plant and animal life on Earth have mechanisms that work to keep D out of the mitochondrial/cellular water. The higher your D level the sooner you die (true of plant and animal life). So, how does this tie into Copper? Copper adsorbs D..binds it. Interestingly, the ancients knew this, somehow, although I’m sure they didn’t call it by our modern names. Regardless, they understood. In closing, reduce you D levels by increasing copper, eating less processed foods, and low carbohydrate (carbohydrates are high deuterium foods).
I have to chew and digest this, but just wondering...would taking molecular hydrogen then be a good or bad thing? I'm guess it wasn't a good 'fad'...Dr Mercola and others. Curious since you seem to know much about this! Thank you.
@@jac1161 breathing and/or drinking molecular hydrogen dissolved into water, especially deuterium depleted water (DDW) has many benefits, and very few drawbacks. The only drawback being that beyond a given dose there are no known benefits. Essentially you reach a biological optimum. I’m engaged in work to determine if the same is true for decreasing deuterium levels in biological systems. No conclusions to draw as yet beyond less deuterium is better. On the molecular hydrogen side, breathing or drinking it is a mode of depleting deuterium in your system simply because all of the systems that produce hydrogen, due to deuterium bonds being 8-15 time harder to break, naturally select for protium (light hydrogen) and your mitochondria run off of protium and light oxygen. Realistically, I doubt anyone will drink enough dissolved hydrogen to reach a level of zero gains or detriment, so only benefits to be expected. If you want optimize breathing molecular hydrogen there is a weight to ml/minute x time formula. I won’t provide that here but you should find it before engaging in breathing H2 gas. Of interest, amongst the numerous PhDs in my network, the agreed upon potential lifespan effects of several combined therapies (including DDW and molecular hydrogen) theoretically yield an expected average lifespan of 500+ years. The already known/established mitochondrial impacts are significant. There are even theories that have been put forward that suggest much much longer lifespans and health spans are possible. Work ongoing.
I’m 82 and come from a big family. During our childhood, my mother, with some hired help, and volunteer young hands, made fruit boxes from mangos, guayabas, membrillos, etc. Every year she would start by cleaning a BIG cooper saucepan with ash, baking soda and lemon until brilliant , then pealing the fruit and cooking it in the cooper saucepan, then sift the fruit through a big sifter and back to the saucepan to cook til a smooth paste, then box it and cool. A slice of that was a treat for desert.
Learned that people in India in old days, even some now, fill water in a copper pot and drink from it next day. Somehow ancients knew copper vessels are important for health.
I have another supplement with copper since a few months. I feel much better indeed. Thanks for reminding me, no seriously. Otherwise I would have watched to whole video.

I still remember my dad cooking "Polenta" into a thick, heavy, beautiful copper pot, that "polenta" was very nourishing compared to the one I cook today which actually makes me sick to my stomach. I use stainless steel pot for cooking it, huge difference for sure. So, copper is not poison like we were told. I just recently re-discovered the benefits of copper and began to take it along with my supplement's protocol, in a couple of weeks I noticed my hair natural color is coming back and the grey is fading away. My life's companion also is growing his hair back and grey is fading away.
@@jillianjenkins7952 Presently, I am taking 6 mg daily. There are two small details, which aren't small at all when it comes to health. For the copper to be well absorbed in my body, it should be in the form of copper bisglycinate, and possibly taken at night/evenings away from the zinc. At least, this is how I learnt it, and it is working well for me so far. I am hypersensitive and when something throws me out of balance I happen to notice right away; vice versa when something works well for me, I also notice it right away. I hope this helps!
@@jillianjenkins7952 I also take low doses of zinc and selenium and other minerals, but I take those in the morning. I take copper and vitamin D3 in the evenings. 8 mg. of copper is the max dose that can be taken without incur into toxicity yet, I like to keep my dose at 6 mg. it seems to work just fine for me. Though, I am noticing things reversing quite quickly since I added the copper.
@@LadyBug1967 Not sure I can mention the name of the brand here on this platform however, you can find it almost anywhere, on Amazon, eBay etc. as long as you look for Chelated Copper or Copper Bisglycinate, it's the most absorbable form of copper. 6 mg. works for me, but you can start with lower dosages like 2 mg. and see how you are doing with it, then, moving to the 6 mg. later, just getting your body accustomed to take copper a little at the time. You should do an interview with Morley's wife. She is the one who got him going on his present path. He says she is an innate healer. I think it's time we find out exactly what she knows. thank you!!
@@ComeAlongKay perhaps, but, in his book that he dedicates to her, he says "She is the intentional, inspirational spark of my life." That pretty much says it all, right there.
I've just finished watching this utterly outstanding interview. Congrats! And I loved ot so much, I'll watch it again. Om a side note again: the best way to know if your iron levels are ok is by checking your ferritin and your transferrin saturation, way more relevant than your serum one. What he said about having active vitamin D being more important than your D storage (I didn't have a clue about this) ireminds me of the same thing about.your B12. It'd probably ne wiser to say to keep your B12 and D levels HIGH and ACTIVE. Medical errors account for a sizeable number of deaths in the US, which he didn't mention. The 3rd LARGEST cause. Biochemistry is an absolutely FASCINATING topic! Thank you ever so much for the interview! I'll definitely buy his book
It's not just deaths/murders by the healthcare system ....it's the disease and disability one is living with. Yes, biochem is fascinating and should be loved and approached with passion for any one in medicine./healthcare.
@@jac1161 I second that. Biochemistry is fascinating indeed. Never thought I'd be passionate about it and what aroused my interest was the repeated medical errors I came up against last semester. Ferritin, testosterone, T3/T4, eczema diagnosed as seborrheic keratosis, etc. Conventional docs just couldn't care less. Reference values are usually ridiculously misleading. My homocysteine rose up to 13.5 from 10.5 in just 4 months, but then I did a lot of research and changed and split supplements and brought it down to 10.3 in about 10 days. I'm having another blood test in 3 weeks to check whether this protocol is still effective or whether I should add something else to it. I might've had one of the homocysteine methylation genes suffer a mutation, which would make taming that marker very annoying. I had my first heart doppler exam last Friday and all ok, thanks be to God. I've been cooking my own food since 2016.
Agreed and the added use of glyphosate has leached the copper from soils. Did you see this video from Dr Seneff on the topic of glyphosate? ua-cam.com/video/-LWeuSAJwIw/v-deo.htmlsi=D3dBewd1AM6L_R3L
Glyphosate is insidious. Glycine literally is a building block of the ECM, the extra-cellular matrix, it holds the entire body together. Think fascia which surrounds every cell, keeping it in its proper place.
@@rickmillerrd read her book. Have been shouting from the rooftops that gluten is NOT the issue. Our bodies just don't tolerate POISON, glyphosate. And that push for plant based diets are headed for increased poison because of glyphosate and other chemicals.
I have listened to this podcast with abated breath. My body has an innate truth sensor - I was tingling with a knowing that what Morley was saying was so true. I energy tested and got I needed this.
Copper is found in highest amounts in protein foods like organ meats, shellfish, fish, nuts, and seeds as well as whole grains and chocolate. The absorption of copper in the body will increase if the diet contains less copper, and decrease if the body has enough copper, you don't need to supllement.

I've now just watched as far as 1:15:39 and I'd like to comment on what he said about storage and active vitamin D. The problem with having insufficient D levels is that your PTH goes up beyond optimal levels resulting in your system eating calcium away from your bones and teeth. And the problems with D3 supplementation is forgetting to take K2MK7 with it so it ends up being deposited in your arteries and kidneys. Doctor Cicero Coimbra is one the world's most renowned authorities on vitamin D and naturally je takes it as a supplement . There's the Doctor Coimbra's protocol, which is widely used in Brazil. During the pandemic I saw many charts with scientific data showing a connection between deaths amd low D-levels.
What I know for sure is that my health significantly improved when my Vitamin D levels were doubled -- probably too high at the moment. For sure, I do think I am deficient in copper. I moved from an area of high copper content in the water and suspect lack of it now is a problem for me. I also know of some persons who moved to the same area and suffered greatly from too much copper in the water. Genetically, apparently, copper supplementation is not for everyone. Be careful!

@@rickmillerrd I would say that you needn't chop it up with jump cuts - the most successful podcast in the history of podcasting is in the long form. Editing takes more of your time and effort, effort that could be spent productively elsewhere. Besides, the main reason creators chop the length of the videos is to attract more of the people with less attention span - for views. The people truly interested in your content, like myself, actually LOVE the long form. We get to hear the dramatic pauses, the questions that make a guest think just a bit longer; the general flow of an _authentic_ conversation. Remember - we _do_ have the ability to skip forward if we like. 🤓 I'm of the opinion that the long form is better - and if you want to do it live - well, that's a choice for you to make. For me, it makes no difference if it's live or recorded - it's the information I'm after. Every book I've ever read has been after the fact of its writing. The information contained within remains, irrespective of when it was penned. Cheers, and all the best, doc.
It’s more complex than this. You can take extra copper but if you don’t manage the tissue iron and ceruloplasmin, copper will stay ‘trapped’ and unusable. As I’ve mentioned in other comments, it’s not just a case of dumping in supplements 🙏🏻
Thanks for the video but I'll tell you, I left this video knowing basically NOTHING and I'll tell you why. We are NOT scientists for the most part. We are listening to this video and what we need to know is: HOW do we measure the amount of copper in the body; HOW much copper should we have in our body; and HOW do we get that copper into our body. 😊 After this video I have NO answers to any of those three questions. And then I'm left with this conundrum regarding vitamin D: Storage vitamin D versus active vitamin D? Storage is what they tell you when they measure it from your blood and I was told you should have between 30 and 90 which is a huge spectrum. I've decided I want 50 and I believe if I take 5,000 international units per day I will end up with 50 as the number when they do my blood test. I think he's saying that I should ONLY have 21. Like I said, I don't understand. IT was not made clear. So all I can do is ignore everything regarding vitamin D and carry on like I've done for a decade-- taking 5,000 international units of vitamin D3 daily and at my annual blood test be sure it's between 30 and 90 with 50 being the optimal level for me. As for copper, I have no idea as to the answers to the three questions I posed above so I will try to research sources of copper in food and see if I can increase that. I will check at my drug store and see if they even sell copper which I believe they do not. I will go online and see if they sell copper and I will go online and do research such that I can understand better the answers to my questions posed above because this guest did NOT answer those questions: HOW much copper do I need; HOW do I get that copper in my body and WHICH foods should I eat to optimize my copper intake. The fact of the matter is anecdotally, I absolutely love copper and I have copper bracelets; earrings & rings because I just adore copper. Hence, I was really looking forward to this talk but like I said, I left with NOTHING .. Maybe you can as the host ask someone on who answers my three questions. I will wait and see if that can be done. Thx
Generally, when you buy zinc, zinc will be withadded copper. When you do your blood testing, you should usually do zinc and copper and can't think of it right now, but 2mg of copper daily is enough
Word of warning if you take vit d you need vitamin k with it ir you will calcify your arteries....research the amount of k to take or buy it already combined.
Sometimes its not just about not getting the copper but how the copper is absorbed. Dr. Berg says a lot of people have deficiencies where they can not get it in the places where it needs to be.
@@rickmillerrd my understanding is that most people have copper toxicity within the areas that matter (bones and organs) but when that happens blood levels are low. In other words, if blood levels of copper are low, then you have a high level in bones/organs and if blood levels are high, then you have a low level in bones/organs. Hair analysis is the most accurate way of testing, and then you need a hair analysis specialist to interpret the data.

@@rickmillerrd ah yes, a serious point. The NPK link is now so much more important in light of Schauberger's story. Copper is a positively charged metal whereas iron is negative. I'm sure you would be greatly interested in Viktor Schauberger's copper plough blades which increased and even doubled agricultural yields in some crops. The account can be found in his biography, Page 101, Living Water Viktor Schauberger and the Secrets of Natural Energy, by Olof Alexandersson. Excerpt --- In 1948 Viktor Schauberger had signed a contract with a company in Salzburg for the production of a large number of ploughs. Then suddenly one day he was visited by a high official from Salzburg's treasury office. The latter arrived in an elegant car, and the following ensued: the treasury director: 'There has been a rumour that the Salzburg town corporation has carried out successful tests with your ploughs, and, naturally, this is of interest But now I must ask you face to face - what is is worth to me, if I support you?' Schauberger said: T don't understand what you mean. You are from the treasury, you have nothing to do with support I have paid my fees for the test and everything is complete.' The Treasury director went on: T must make myself clear. The fact is, I have an agreement with the nitrogen industry whereby if I can stimulate the farmers to use more nitrogen than usual I receive a royalty for each sack being sold. If now the farmers were to change to the copper plough the demand would permanently diminish, and thus I need royalties from your ploughs as compensation. Can't we come to an understanding as old friends and make a good deal for us both?' Schauberger replied furiously: 'I have only one thing to say to you - you are a greedy rascal - a thing I should have understood at once - when as a representative of the people you drive around in a luxury car.' It was after this exchange that there was a surprise termination of the contract from the company that was to have provided the ploughs. Representatives from the local agricultural society also started to warn farmers against using the copper plough as it could cause over-production which would give lower prices. Thereby their production and use were totally halted. In 1950, Schauberger, together with engineer Rosenberger, however, obtained a patent on a method of coating the active surfaces of farm machinery with copper. Thankyou again for these tenacious findings.

What about the problem of oxalates and plant based inhibitors, though? Spinach is LOADED with oxalate. Nuts are really high in them too. This blocks / outweighs the benefits of the minerals and copper in these foods.
If you have a sufficient level of the right bio flora (gut buddies) they will eat the oxalates. That's why some are very sensitive. I still don't eat spinach though.
@@jeromepopiel388 This isn't true. Oxalic acid gets absorbed by the body insidiously, slowly and silently binding with calcium and minerals in the body creating crystals. And not just in the kidneys. It can deposit in joints, injured tissue sites, eyes, brain, etc. (See Sally Norton's work and book 'Toxic Super Foods'. It is true that eating calcium with oxalate rich foods will bind some of the oxalate and not absorb it, but spinach is off the charts at 450 mg per cup uncooked spinach (and cooking doesn't break it down)

We are screwed in the northern climates if what you have claimed about Vit D supplements is true . Am I going to stop taking Vit D - not without seeing the evidence. I learned a lot about the significance of copper in raising fiber animals . What you didn;t say is whether a copper supplement is viable to take or get it only from food .
Thanks for commenting 🙏🏻 context is key when it comes to supplements, especially vitamin D. Firstly, most labs don’t check for the active form of vitamin D in the blood🩸when this does get checked, often the levels are fine. Secondly, people with northern latitude heritage often have lighter skin and hence make the active form of vitamin D faster through uv light exposure. Lastly! As per this chat with Dr Sara Pugh I did a little while back, if you fix your light environment your skin will be able to make vitamin d more efficiently and there may be some evidence that cold exposure creates a ‘variant’ of vitamin d inside our mitochondria (remember vitamin D is technically a hormone not a vitamin). You should google about nocebo and placebo effect. You feel unwell because you expect to feel like that because of EMF. Note that sunshine is 1,000W of EMF per meter square, and when you turn on heating element in your home it emits 1,000W or 2,000W of EMF to heat you up. Cellphone usually emits at 0.5W (max 2W), and WiFi is limited to 0.1W max. And signals from the towers are much lower that that when they reach you. And EMF they emit is non ionizing, meaning that they do not cause cellular and DNA damage.

Overconsumption of sugar may lead to NAFLD and insulin resistance via hepatic copper deficiency. Humans are carnivores. We don't need to eat plants. And are much happier and healthier when we don't. 6:48
You make the correct point, over consumption. The problem with processed food and sugar is the deuterium load. Check out this interview with Laszlo Boros ua-cam.com/video/25I8GjQ9i_s/v-deo.htmlsi=DTEy0Wkab_KwmErb
@@rickmillerrd Please let me point out that was a quote. It was not my own words. I would never use the term over consumption. Those are weasel words for people who don't want to change their diet. It would be more accurate to say that sugar consumption can lead to copper deficiency. Which was the point I was trying to make.

Is it safe to drink water out of a copper flask on a daily basis? Interesting copper factoid; I read a tip on a local gardening group to put a small section of copper pipe in your birdbath or fountains to keep algae growth from forming. I tried it and it’s true,it slows down mossy growth considerably. This does make me wonder though what the effects of drinking water out of a copper flask would accomplish for me?
Thank you for this! I live in a beautiful area, in a forest, off a lake, and it gets very humid, then seasons change and gets very cold which is a recipe for mold which I had a baad dance with death over. So, I am, going to do that with the bird baths, even in my garden!

It has to be a dire emergency before I go to the doctors or hospital. I’m 60 and disabled from nerve gas and with ALS I’ve cured cancer three times, reversed, severe rheumatoid arthritis, including restoring normalcy from extreme deformity, fatal Diffuse Scleroderma, IBS caused by rare time took antibiotic, and much more. The longest anyone lived from studies done of people exposed to high levels of nerve gas causing ALs was 20 years. My exposure to nerve gas was at 21. I studied herbs., scientific studies, to design my own stem cell treatment. It took many years., but I did regenerate greatly It is damage to the mitochondria of every cell. After menopause, because of the loss of hormones, the degeneration more rapidly. I’m hoping to regenerate again and maintain. But the doctors can’t do anything for you - generally. They treat symptoms and cause a whole lot of damage. I have concluded for me, modern medicine is best for diagnosis and testing , as well as emergency care. Their drugs have side effects., which means damage because the drugs are toxic. Naturopathic Doctors and a few other categories are exceptions. Someone would say., you didn’t cure cancer if you had it three times. Yes I did. It doesn’t mean it’s the same cancer coming back. It means I’m susceptible! And, when I had the most regeneration, it was because I was taking herbs which doubled up as neuron repair herbs. I refuse to take any any herbs that were anti-VEGF, which is a common pathway to treat for cancer. VEGF cancer grow. But VEGF is necessary. To promote. With other pathways., in order to regenerate neurons. I was desperate. I was horrified at being so weak, wasting, and didn’t wanna live unless I could repair my muscles. I prayed and gave God an ultimatum., asking him to guide me VEGF is already promoted during cancer and is a main factor in its spread. I magnified the VEGF, and treated many other pathways for both anti-cancer and pro stem cell and neuron repair. The cancer was actually a blessing. I hung in last.stage for nearly a year and was down to 85 pounds. I forced myself to do fast twitch exercise for 20 seconds up to 60 seconds I was very weak I was alone in the state with no one I’m just my cats. The neurons needed this cancer environment for full effect of the stem cell and neural regeneration. I didn’t know this at the time. I just knew if I was going to survive the cancer., I had to regenerate strength, my muscles. It wasn’t perfect regeneration, but it was A LOT! I was exercising again. Anytime I would., I still got hit down so hard and recovery was so slow. But I continue to do it., and maintain my strength. Now with menopause, I’m back to barely being able to stand or move. And I’m determined., to do it one more time but it’s so much more complex And challenging I have to decide if I will take hormones. I might have to. I’m buying a house in the country with land and animals. I don’t have the strength., but darn it, God will have to give me the way Herbs and healthy, eating and living, with prayer first and last can career just about anything. Prayer alone, without herbs., can cure the most dire situation in condition. But, one can predict just how long that prayer needs to be., in order to get your healing. But herbs and diet alone are magnified by prayer, and prayer is magnified by herbs and diet.
You're blessed then because there are some of us are major medical ptsd FROM them and do need them, sadly, due to genetic defects that nothing we can do can change it :(

Great information so now what? Where do we get this copper = food, drink, how much is to much to little, delivery, synergistic ( under the tongue ) best absorbed, combination, age, weight???? You both just left us hanging.
Thank you for this exemplary addition!
Copper Glycinate is the most bioavailable form of Copper.

Thx

this is great, thankyou. DYK that copper accumulates in the placenta during pregnancy. That fact makes a lot of sense to me now.
Yes indeed and upon giving birth, all that copper is deposited into the child. So you can imagine now deficient in copper many women are after several children 🙏🏻
Excerpt ---
In 1948 Viktor Schauberger had signed a contract with a company in Salzburg for the production of a large number of ploughs. Then suddenly one day he was visited by a high official from Salzburg's treasury office. The latter arrived in an elegant car, and the following ensued: the treasury director:
'There has been a rumour that the Salzburg town corporation has carried out successful tests with your ploughs, and, naturally, this is of interest But now I must ask you face to face
- what is is worth to me, if I support you?' Schauberger said: T don't understand what you mean. Can't we come to an understanding as old friends and make a good deal for us both?' Schauberger replied furiously: 'I have only one thing to say to you - you are a greedy rascal - a thing I should have understood at once - when as a representative of the people
you drive around in a luxury car.' It was after this exchange that there was a surprise termination of the contract from the company that was to have provided the ploughs.
Copper utensils were extensively in ancient societies now we know why. Thank you for this valuable information. 🙏🙏🙏

Curious!
It is true that eating calcium with oxalate rich foods will bind some of the oxalate and not absorb it, but spinach is off the charts at 450 mg per cup uncooked spinach (and cooking doesn't break it down)
@blobmonster9494 True. This will bind some. But spinach is super high in oxalates. I'm not sure how much oxalate will be bound. Not worth the risk IMO.
@blobmonster9494 doesn't negate the issue

Unfortunately there is no flexibility for people who choose not to consume animal flesh or secretions. Even synthetic vitamin A is discounted entirely as an option. People do live full healthy lives without animal formed retinol so there must be an option even if not the 'perfect' options according to the protocol.
One for Morley to think about!

Ive just listened to 1.5 hours and he doesn't even tell us how to get more copper into our systems. Very disappointing 😮
Eat beef liver with onions... 3 oz has over 12,400 mcg of copper. That is more than you need..
Do your research! You don’t need your hand held.
It's one thing to tell us how much we need copper but it's incomplete to not tell us how to get more copper in our system. Tell us the problem but leave out the solution. It's a matter of logic.
You can buy supplements, no?
a) gratitude attitude, b) you can look it up like scrolling antisocial media :)
We are screwed in the northern climates if what you have claimed about Vit D supplements is true . Am I going to stop taking Vit D - not without seeing the evidence. I know the difference it has made in my health. I do believe the copper issue. We seem to know more about copper needs in animals than in humans.
Check this one out 🙏🏻ua-cam.com/video/EezflOdLI08/v-deo.htmlsi=BMSECNBdRgJonqjh
I've heard that UV light is more available at elevations above 3500-4000 feet. For those of us that live and play in the mountains in winter getting to a higher elevation is a normal part of winter and summer.

EMF reduction in the human body is so important in today's world. They put up 244 antennas and 74 Towers in a three-mile radius of my house.
I had major inflammation throughout my body and I went and got some copper sheets and some copper tape put a big sheet of aluminum foil down and then put the copper on top of that and put your feet on it for 5 to 15 minutes and it will completely take the electromagnetic energy from emfs out of your body you have to do it quite often though. You can also put this copper inside your shoes so you're grounded all the time.

@@Sasoon2006not sure about that, safety is a concern with any new technology at EMF frequencies

Have you ever heard the saying, "You can't outrun a bad diet." Sugar consumption can lead to low copper. Overconsumption of sugar may lead to NAFLD and insulin resistance via hepatic copper deficiency. Humans are carnivores. We don't need to eat plants. And are much happier and healthier when we don't. 6:48

Interesting copper factoid; I read a tip on a local gardening group to put a small section of copper pipe in your birdbath or fountains to keep algae growth from forming. The #1 reason I go to see my doctor is... there isn't a #1 reason.
You're blessed then because there are some of us are major medical ptsd FROM them and do need them, sadly, due to genetic defects that nothing we can do can change it :(
@@jac1161 Just make sure you know every drug that is going into your body and that you have your doctor go over EVERY possible side effect. Just remember it's a doctor's job to push drugs on you. There are sometimes alternatives but you won't hear it from them. Best of luck!
