I’ve owned my 2018 Jag F Pace w/3 litre super charged V6 for five years and I’ve had one issue with it. Last month I just returned from a 10,000 km journey to Quebec and returned to British Columbia via the US where many of the speed limits are 80 MPH. Because of all the consumer reports I’ve read, the F Pace never comes out as bad as you’re claiming here.
Years ago, when I worked in the automotive industry it was well known that certain magazine wrote glowing reviews of the vehicles that advertised with them. Drove a 2025 BMW X1 recently which is the same SAV as the X2 with the exception of the fast back rear roofline. I found it to be a very fun vehicle to drive, mine was the standard engine model not the M Sport version which you might have driven and shown in this video. I did not like the fact that it was touch screen without the usual iDrive control knob and that it was a transverse front drive platform rather than the usual BMW longitudinal rear wheel drive platform. As with all BMW’s though, if your in a hurry to get somewhere, a BMW is what you want to be driving. I prefer the 3 series and up because I think BMW relies upon Mini mechanicals for the X1, X2 and 2 series sedans. BMW 3 series is a great vehicle to own if you have the ability to maintain it if you keep it out of the 4 year 50,000 mile warranty. Otherwise keep it until the factory warranty ends or put an extended warranty on it. They are great cars and safe as well.
We should be clear as you can get a lot of these vehicles as CPO cars with very low miles at a great price. You let someone else take the initial hit on price.
