However We tested the MDX vs the Lexus, we picked the safety of the V6 in the MDX. The RX was working very hard to get up to the highway speed and made lots of noise. The 4banger turbo in Lexus might be fuel efficient and all but we decided that the V6 in Acura merged into the highway speed “effortlessly” and very smooth and quiet ride.
I agree with your top pick, the Lexus RX. It has always been on my radar, but out of my price range. I chose the Acura RDX base model, because it checked all the boxes for me except one, no spare tire.
Lexus RX is a great choice. If I need to keep three cars, Lexus RX will be there. The Lexus GX, Porsche Cayenne, and Lexus RX are my top choices. My wife’s choices are the Porsche Cayenne, Lexus RX, and Lexus GX
I'm a value buyer. And to me, the NX 450h is the winner for "best value" criterion. IMHO.
I’m pulling up in a BMW. X5 or an X3 40i. And will have the most fun of all of these except maybe a Porsche. Period.

What to buy is interesting but isn’t when and how to buy equally important? Generally speaking, is it better to buy these just after they roll off the production line or around 70k when the vehicle hits the sweet spot. And, should they be leased or bought outright?
I'm curious about how Volvo fits in with a lot of these lists. It feels as though they're largely ignored despite having pretty good tech, very good hybrid options, and decent resale value. Admittedly they can be a bit unreliable, but I feel like I'd put the 60 and 90 series alongside almost any of these picks.

TX - Good but no regular hybrid like the RX
QX60 - Has the terrible 2.0L VC Turbo engine so no way

The TX is good, but its drawback is that it doesn't offer the regular hybrid system from the RX350h.
