I'm a 63 year old female. Just changed the air filter myself. This video was helpful and thanks.
Proves that anyone can do it 😅
thank you, that was super easy. You saved me $50 in labor costs. Much appreciated!
Your video makes it look fairly simple and easy. I have faith that it will be as easy as you made it appear. Ty! ☺😇
Finally someone somone took the time to show the orientation. None of the other 5-10 videos on youtube did. You can put it in backwards pretty easy but it doesnt come out as easy as when you put it in the correct direction.
Super easy-peasy! You're excellent, concise and clear explanation!!
Great video, I just changed my air filter on my 2020!!
Thank you so much for this video! My 15 year old son and I figured it out and we only had to rewatch three times! Lol
Thank you! Very easy to understand and follow!
Thanks a lot for this educational video. Need more of this on UA-cam.
Excellent vid. Replaced OE at 32k, man was it dirty. Looks like for this vehicle, 17 Rogue in coastal plain be checking it 15-20k. Not my vehicle but I maintain for family member. Easy job, I found doing air two air box clips last works best to help forward intake clips seat. The CAF another story, think I got it in right, but it's kinda a pita. Can't really tell if properly seated, but hoping for the best. Thanks
Great video for DIYers like me thanks.
Thanks. Saved me 60$ for replacement ❤
Thank you so much for your video. I had just replaced the air filter of my car following your instructions. Thanks
Thanks! Saved me $70 for installation.
Thank you, very clear and helpful.
Excellent information. Im not mechanical but was able to change my own air filter and saved about $50
Neither am I and that is the whole point. Congrats on the savings.
Thank you so much for this detailed video!
Thank you from Thailand.
Nice and simple video - thank you!
This video helped me tremendously!
Thanks very much. Really good step by step video.
Thank you so much for the clear and detailed instructions!
New to the Nissan family (had a ford before, hated it) thank you for the video!! Very helpful and means the dealership doesn’t get MORE money haha
Thank you. There are few videos I have posted on this car including filter changes, tuneup, brakes, transmission flush etc.
Thanks, man! Very helpful.
Thank you for your easy to follow instructions,,,,,you made it easy for our 2019 Nissan Rogue! Thanks
Hi frank. Where did u buy your filter? And whats the model number of our 2019 rogue. Thanks

Thank you very helpful video.
a very well with all details explained video done . I thank you for it. you are a very good instructor.
Thank you for the compliment. Glad it was useful.
I did it 💪🏽💃💃💃 I feel powerful 💪🏽💪🏽 thank you!
Way to go. Look out for a rogue engine tune up video I am going to publish this week. Who knows that will be your next flex.
Big help! Thanks!
Thanks for the video. The filter is directional but there are no air flow arrows on it. You verified my installation with the tab on the top left of the filter (facing you) and the yellow side facing inwards. One of the clips broke - poor Nissan design. It holds welll with one clip. I should have bought the Toyota RAV4.
Thank you for the your excellent instructions. The hardest part was not knowing how to get the hood to stay up. I am 70 and never opened the hood on this car.
I usually show from opening the hood all the way to completing. Not sure why I didn't show that. Thanks for the encouragement.
Hi Brenda. I know what you mean. The hood prop is actually on the underside of the hood. So after you open the hood look up on the underside of the hood....it's kind of tight but you can pop it out...then there is a little square hole that the prop fits into...I think you'll see it. Hope that helps.
Thank you for your help
Thank you.
This is extremely helpful thanks
Thanks. I just published a cabin air filter change video as well if you are interested for the same vehicle.
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you
Thanks! 👍
thanks just did it
Thanks 😊
Thank you!!!
thanks bro
Thanks. Side note you sound like the lead vocalist that sang the Put the Lime in the Cocounut song.
Lol 😂 I was trying to be quiet with baby sleeping in the house.
@@JJCentral-DIY LOL I understand. On another side note just changed my air filter and it was twice as bad as the one in this video!
Thanks
Nice Video Training!! Thank you brother. Jay shri Krishna 🙏
Took me like 2 minutes. I even grabbed my blower and cleaned out the leaves.
local shop wanted to charge $50 for this 🤣🤣🤣
Omg. Thanks
Excellent job brother 👏 👍 🙌 👌 💪
Thank you so much for your help.
I have a 2015 rogue throwing a p2096 code
The clip on the air box pointed out by you of making car shake is broken
Will this throw that code? Thanks
That code means your fuel is running lean based on excess air intake. So you may be right in thinking the loose lid could bring excess air. But mostly the leak should be after the mas sensor to trigger the code. Either way try securing everything by duck tape and see if the code goes away.
@@JJCentral-DIY it’s been almost a year and the p2096 code comes and goes
I’ve checked everything after the mass airflow sensor, all is good there
I don’t know what else it could be besides the broken air box tab
I forgot to mention my car does shake quite a bit
Thanks for the help
@@deonjai your code basically could be due to few things, mass air flow sensor which you replaced, any vacuum leaks, A/F sensor bank 1 sensor 1, or catalytic converter.
I would check the vacuum leaks first with a smoke test, and then replace the AF (oxygen b1s1) sensor.
👍
I cannot get my air filter top to slide all the way down, it will not meet at the bottom and go in the grooves.
Having a stammering issue during acceleration in lower gears & I see a sudden drop in mpg in winter . Could it be due to Air filter (it doesn't look too dirty)?
Needs more details, mileage, MIL status, any other lights on the dash, have you scanned for transmission codes etc. It could be anywhere from tune up time to rebuild transmission.
Hello, my friend told me that the original nissan rogue filters are covered with some grease or oil so it filters dust better, so I can’t replace it with a random filter.. is that true??
OEM nissan filter doesn't have oil coating. Usually the non oil filters filter out 99 percent of the contaminants due to smaller micron holes compared to the oiled ones like knn which filters 98 percent. Honestly makes no difference. Changing often with cheap filters makes more difference.
Where can i find the compatable aircondition filter number? Im trying to google mine 2019 rogue but all i can search are filters inside the car not the one thats on your video
amzn.to/3bSwr04
It doesn't match my air filter setup mine has a box over the battery also connected into the air filter system
Thank you🤗🤗🤗🤗.... I was assuming there was another clip on the bottom ....😩😩😩
Always ... ALWAYS take time to thank those that share helpful videos (like this one)... UA-cam is the most helpful app 🤗🤗. And thank you to those that reply back.
@@howiesmith6132you have no idea how much a simple thank you comment from a viewer helps me get motivated to create and share more videos. Encouraging comments are the fuel for us small creators. Thank you.😊
Thank you for this! I'm assuming it's the same on a rogue sport?
They both should be the same unless the engine is different.
@@JJCentral-DIY thank you!
Are you supposed to remove the rubber from the air filter???
No.
( But ) not all of them just come right up , some break at the middle clip :-/
Is it possible to put it in backwards? I know it doesn't work but will it go in??
The rubber has a groove that makes it hard to put it in reverse. If you can get a snug fit, it is in it's right position. Worse case installing in reverse doesn't possess any less function. One side has little more oily surface that catches more fine dust that's all.
How often does the engine air filter need to be changed?
Depends on how much you use the car. I change once every two years or 25000 miles.
How often should you replace it
Every 15k miles or if it gets too dirty.
This was great but beware of the tops of the clips on the front section. They were brittle from baking in the summer sun so they both broke off on me when I tried to push them back into place.
Thanks for saying that Jay. I had the same issue...I broke off one clip. Very flimsy design and intentionally made so you take it back to the dealer.
How is the car any issues with it how many miles on it now.
No issues, 65k miles so far. Check the tune up video as well. Thanks.
@@JJCentral-DIY Don’t forget change CVT fluid Nissan recommends changing it every 60k
@@john1240able yes, going to do that this summer
This video does not show my engine on my ,2019 Nissan Rogue. SUV.!!! The configuration my engine parts are different. When looking at second 8 page 17 it shows a definitely different way to get at the air filter. Which is much more difficult to do. He said this was the same for a 2018, 19 or 20. Not so!!!!
Nevermind!! I am bad!!! The book instructions threw me off on the engine configuration! The video is good. So is the next video on replacing the air filter, under glove box filter inside the car and oil and filter change. Sorry. 🇺🇸😎💪👍
Both the engine and cabin air filters have a shittier design than the last model. Well done #Nissan
Nissan dealer will charge $50!
This is $100 now (2023)
You don’t need a screwdriver for this 😂
