As a Nevada resident I’m glad he corrected the state name pronunciation
But its nevahda aint it?
FR THOUGH. I don't know why but it makes me so mad for some reason.
It's ne-va-da not na-vah-duh.
That’s a funny way of saying Californian that moved. Just joking. I was one as well
Why do you guys get so mad about it? It's a Spanish word and everyone else is just pronouncing it like one.
How many states have tried to explain what mountains are to Florida now? It’s at least three
I know New Mexico is one of them lol
@@beeznbugz colorado tried too
This concept of a "Mountain" is as foreign to us as not touching a gator.
@@timothyferrelli8274 how am I suppose to get its tail without touching it.
Thats how much i Can count!!
Florida: "Talk About An Uninformed Buyer"
Gov: "I Haven't Felt That Way Since I Got You, Honestly"
Florida with A Smile: "You're Welcome"

Spain: "NO BACKSIES!!!"
@@GhostBear3067 😂😂😂
@@GhostBear3067 *points at France.* They tried to build a colony there too just before Spain try it. Maybe Gov can try to dumb him back to them.
@@CatherinePuce nah, the French are 2 Imperial Napoleon's removed from North America
@@ATemplarIGuess Well, they had great ambition for North America at some point. They just never spare enough civilians and willpower to keep what they have claimed. The British empire had to fight again and again to remove them from north America.
"I own 85% percent of the state."
"OH GOD, how many people is that??"
"About 5 or 6."
It's so accurate and kills me every time.
As one who who lives in Vegas.................... This is PAINFULLY accurate. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go yell at the Californians who are looking to move in to the next apartment because they don't know how to drive OR park.
I can't speak for all Californians, but I do how how to drive and how to park, AND, I also tell people from other states how to pronounce Nevada (and Oregon) when they almost always get it wrong. You're welcome. 😄
And, PS- we share Tahoe Tessie and Highway 50.
@@shannarose5616 The loneliest highway part is only in Nevada though. I wouldn't exactly call the freeway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe lonely.
PREACH. The Californians scare the bejezus out of me on the roads. Go back to LA if you wanna drive like you're in LA
@@melodiesoflegend It's not Californians that are bad drivers, it's southern Californians. Also the Texans and Floridians that keep moving here.
Florida, Louisiana, and Nevada should form their own club.😆
Didn’t they try that with Texas once?
@@daveyarmitage6852 Nevada wasn't part of that party. Arizona was.
Nevada is just East California.
@@wta1518 only part of it. East and North Nevada is too scary for Cali-mornons.
@@DesertFernweh OK fine, those parts are West Utah.
Our state song is forever ingrained in the minds of people who grew up here😂 also thank you for the correct pronunciation😌
Home means the Sage and the Pine, my friend.
What's funny is I thought to myself "I don't know the.....ohhhhhh yeah I do" lol
Actually I live in vegas wasn't taught that we had a song but now knowing it is pretty catchy

‘Does the suit have a hard time in desert’ works on so many levels!!
I actually visited Nevada a few weeks ago, and Tahoe, Reno, and Vegas are exactly how I remembered it 5 years ago with slot zombies, street preachers, and normies everywhere.
The air in casinos is a lot more breathable since they stopped letting the slot zombies puff away like chimneys.
you're gonna have a tough time finding a city without normies

I think, he has a very nice singing voice.
Apparently not….
as someone born in Nevada; Im very glad you addressed how to Pronounce it properly
I love how Gov kept saying it incorrectly even after being corrected 🤣
He's lucky that California wasn't there. He might keep correcting Gov, even though that's not his name.
Same. When he addressed the *correct* way to say it it made me happy
It's not that surprising that early settlers would not know how to pronounce Spanish words.
I say it the “wrong” way and I live on the west coast
Florida's reaction at finding out who founded Vegas got me good. A lot of people don't know that those early pioneers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints played a critical role in settling pretty much the entire Rocky Mountain West. Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, heck, even my great-grandpa and his family were called on a mission to settle the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming when he was a child. And yes, there are still plenty of church members in Vegas. I'm told the Vegas temple is absolutely beautiful too.
Personally, I think it pretty much looks like a stake center on the outside. Inside is gorgeous though.
The temple is pretty
My People! The temple is nice, and we get great photos of it. One of my favorite girls camp t-shirts was a picture of the temple lined up with the Stratosphere for a lights theme.
Members unite!
Yup, even a lot of the little mountain communities in the San Bernardino mountains were settled by the Mormons. They've mostly fled, though. Lots of places still named after them.
“You can go play in an abandoned mine”. Say that three times fast.
I am SO GLAD for the “Stay Out, Stay Alive (Abondoned Mines -Can- WILL Kill You) PSA here. I grew up hearing that. There was never not a magnet on the fridge stating this
As someone with adhd, this is what happens in my head minus the production value
This whole thing is the most I ever laughed since the last Table! Florida had me dieing the whole time!🤣🤣 School House Rock is most definitely Awesome! Poor DC is getting more aggravated every episode! I can see the " white Coats " picking him up soon!😆👨⚕️👩⚕️
Three songs in one skit🤣😂 Is that a record?
The bloopers I can’t stop laughing at🤣😂🤣
Ikr 😂 when he said “i got it right!” He sounded like a mix or stitch and kermit
I love the fact that Nevada called him out on saying the name wrong.
You’re saying like it’s spelled
Loving the chaotic energy from Florida and Nevada
Love it! We need a west water war skit over the Colorado River.
Cause of the free the river thing?
Why is it called the Colorado River?
I know of the South Platte and a few creeks… and that’s about it.
*flashbacks to that stupid water jingle*
0:39 As a Utahn I've always said it Nev-ahh-da, but I was told I was wrong and that it was Nev-awe-da. Which just felt wrong. Now I feel justified with righteous indignation. Thanks, Ben.
Nice
Learnt so much and then FELT IT with the Tupperware spaghetti stains.
“Please don’t get us sued by School House Rock.” 😂
When Florida was taking about his version of a spaghetti bowl that brought me back to my childhood.
You could use turpentine, and sandpaper, and you'd still not be able to get that red tinge out lol. 🤣
Love everything about this…especially the California digs 🤣
Fun fact: Nevada has the most isolated town in the continental 48.
Less fun fact: It sucked to grow up in.
@Neico Anderson Jarbidge. An actually isolated town. Makes Elko and Jackpot look like Carson City or Vegas.
My cousin just moved to Nevada (from CA) and bought a house. Well, it’s practically a mansion. I'm sure there was more than one Nevadan who wanted to tell yell at them at open houses. 😂🤗
Being a native Reno man, I am so glad that you mention the Spaghetti Bowl. Also love how you mentioned the dumpster fire that is Reno 911, just tell them to come over to the city and see if they can find just ONE palm tree throughout the city. I'm kind of sad that you didn't bring Louisiana in this given that it's the only other state that allows gambling in the USA.
The only thing missing is yucca mountain
… do y’all have another spaghetti bowl up north?
@@wadewidmann187 no, just the one. It’s what we call the area around the I-80 & 580/395; if you were to get an over view shot you’ll get why.

You can really tell who grew up in Nevada and who didn't just by the pronunciation of the state name. Thank you, Ben, for pronouncing it correctly. ALSO THE SONG sdfsdfaSDF I haven't lived in Nevada for over a decade but I swear to god, that song is ingrained into my soul.
Jesus. I lived in Nevada for nearly three years in the 90s and this video just dredged the entirety of “home means nevada” from the recesses of my brain. i didn’t even know i remembered that song.

Loved the quick shout out to Holes!! I love that book/movie. When I taught 5th gr, I used to read that aloud to my classes every year! When the movie came out, we all went on to see it for a field trip. 😁😁
I love this so much, can't wait for my state.
How much research does this guy do the stay out and stay safe thing had me dead I remember learning about that in school still played in the mines though
I'm disappointed you didn't mention my favorite place. The Clown Motel next to graveyard in Tonopah. It's a horror movie plot waiting to happen.
When I read this I immediately had to google it. I didn't have a phobia of clowns before, but now I do.

It was on my third rewatch of this video that I realized that the movie holes with kissing Kate Barlow, that gov says was a book first is the same book my English teacher had us read in eighth grade, that I did not know had a movie version that I probably could have watched and skipped reading.

I just read holes in class. It's good.
I love about a mile and a half from US1 🤣🤣
Spaghetti Bowl reminds me of Spaghetti Junction on the loop in Georgia.
I learned more here then my Nevada history textbooks
Along with the aliens and the Tahoe Tessie, all that is missing here is the "graboids" from Perfection, Nevada
Thank you a million times for correcting the state pronunciation. I hate when people get that wrong
US Route 50 goes through my part of WV. When we were out west we got onto it (though not in Nevada) and it was pretty lonely out there. Lol!
Shut up-someone interesting is coming had me dieing 😂😂
I visited Reno for a convention years back, I thought it was nice. Food at the casino I was nearest was actually very good.
**Confused in mountainous state** never gets old lmao 🤣🤣🤣
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THE NAME RIGHT!
NEVADA! My state!
Glad to know other people know that holes exists XD
Ah yes the loneliest highway, highway 50. I take that when I have to go down south towards Vegas, let me tell you, that highway is brutal!! Nothing to look at except sagebrush and borderline scorched mountains, hardly any turns to keep you engaged on the road, and the only people who are on that road besides you are cops that go ballistic if you go 2 miles over the speed limit.
