Marshall was very intelligent bowler. Always able to find weakness of the batsman. His 6 deliveries used be different which keeps batsman guessing. I think he learned from Michael Holding. Patterson was very fast.

Also, the ODI tactics in those times were rather sterrotypical, " hide- bound " kinds. A modern captain could have deployed Abdul Qadir in the power - play overs itself !
