Very interesting piece of kit. Glad it actually did what it’s supposed to to do. Nice simple camp with the bonus of the wildlife. The muntjac getting so close definitely would have made my day.
Take care up in the hills and make sure you check in regularly with someone sensible just in case things get tricky. Temps are dropping up here in the North and snow is forecast for next week. We had a little flurry earlier but was very weak and nothing really. The deer didn't really know what to do did it? Obviously no amount of hunting pressure in that woodland. Even when it left it just trotted off. Not the sharpest animal but a nice encounter with wildlife. I've seen foxes on the streets here. We have a bit of green belt around the town and I guess there is more food in town. Lookibg forward to your next adventure!
I’ve had that same thought in my mind, will be implementing a Dakota Fire Pit next week. I appreciate your comment my friend, much love to you and yours across the pond 👍
yeah, the temperature is all over the place atm, -6 here, but they reckon it will be 13 in a few days, either way I am taking a firebox lol@@TreeDeepOutdoors
Looks well made..wonder how it would do here my overnight temperature was -5 Fahrenheit and the high today will be +9 Fahrenheit…wind chills here are deadly. Have fun stay safe.
I'm from Germany and I got the rare opportunity (after looking for it for a long time) that the green one got available via Amazon US. Can just recommend to regularly check - but with shipping and import tax it was around 79€. Anyways, if I'll ever really need it, money doesn't count. Good luck with getting one! :)
I've got several of their products (not this one), never used, just squirreled away in a day pack. I used to carry them when I was doing ecological monitoring--- just in case something happened.

Instead of removing your leafy ground cover, i would rake more leafy matter for insulation under my ground pad. Makes a lot of difference.
And throw a ton on top too.

True that Chris, It’s not often these things do as they are meant to do so I was pleasantly surprised 👍
It's a good idea to test out your gear before hitting the "big hills" - you don't get second chances in winter up there. Have fun !
100% Chris! Especially in these conditions you have currently 🥶
@@TreeDeepOutdoors I'm not seeing much of it - I caught norovirus two days a go and have been hooping my ring 🤮
No way man! That’s a bummer! Me and the family had it just before Christmas, horrible stuff! Hope you feel better soon brother 👊
Great video always a good idea to test your equipment
Great title and thumbnail bud, so nicely presented!

Another successful challenge, well done ,I'm like the look of that bivvy bag may invest in one of those ,a lot lighter and warmer than my gortex one
100% Harry, it’s a decent bit of kit 👍
Really cool video thanks, what make is the hunting jacket your using please?
Hey Daniel, the hunting jacket is by Solognac, if you search for Solognac Treemetric Bodywarmer, should have you in the right direction 👍
#nails #respect. Nicely done pal👏 The fox and the Muntjac appeared close in the vid.... Good stalking skills. KTF🙏
Appreciate it Marty 👍
Good effort bud👍
Thanks for watching Dean 👍
I'd like to see the use of a Dakota Fire Pit in one of the videos. Really like this channel, enjoyed from Colorado

Homelessness is coming for me, I am going to need something like this to survive.
It’s a good place to start countryside_guy! I do however hope that it doesn’t come to that for you 👊
@@TreeDeepOutdoors Thanks. It's coming though, the system doesn't work, there is no help anywhere I've tried and I've tried and tried and tried.
That muntjac did not know what to make of you lol, nice to see your firebox is getting some use.
Gotta love the firebox! I’m currently out at the moment and wish I had brought it along 😖

I've got the same 1 but orange, never used it 😂

Holy moly Kenneth, -9°F! I was out on the mountains last night -9°C and got my ass kicked 😂 stay warm my friend!
@@TreeDeepOutdoors been colder here in most the Northern Central US than in Alaska for a week or more people were freezing to death.
Survival and camping are two different things😅
I am from Europe, (Portugal) and cant find that anywhere. Amazon will not send to my country.

Does anyone else have an issue with this channel
It's like my subscription won't save I have to search the channel and re subscriber every time
That’s strange. Can’t say I have had any issue’s myself.
That’s annoying! UA-cam bugging out I’d imagine. But I appreciate the commitment to keep subscribing Jamie, really appreciated 👍

Better to have it and not use it than the alternative! Thanks for your comment Dan 👍
These things give a false sense of security and encouragement to people to take less equipment than they should. 😮
For the stupid...yes. For us, it's a backup piece of gear.
What kind of equipment do you prefer?

Appreciate the advice my friend! I’ve just got finished up after a blisteringly cold night.. and day 👍
