You are a fantastic teacher! Throughly explaining every detail and giving helpful advice about other parts of the car as well. Your camera angles are flawless and your voice is interesting yet calm and relaxed but never boring. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! As a professional in my biz, I know you truly understand how to make a quality, well thought out video tutorial. I am a sonata owner and I just wanted to know what the mechanic said was making me feel like I was on a boat in my car. NAILED IT! You make me want to do this all by myself (but I will have a professional do it since I lack the experience, time and tools). Keep up the great work.
Great vid. You cover everything in only a few minutes. My only warning is using jack stands. I had a car fall off the jack years ago (and the front wheel was chocked). No one was hurt, but it scared the cement out of me! The jacks supplied with cars are not to be relied upon for anything but changing tires.
True. You need to make sure the jack is perfectly vertical, and the tires well chocked or any forward or backwards movement will result in the car falling off the jack. I've had it happen before. :-) Never position body parts under the vehicle. Thanks for watching!
I'll second that. I was taught never to rely on a jack. Jack it up, put the stand in place, then lower until the vehicle rests on the stand. Makes me feel a lot better, anyway.

Should you do the final torque on that upper bushing bolt when the car is on the ground as to have weight on the suspension? Not twisting the bushing...
Good vid - except 2 points. The spacer washer at the top of the shock was on correctly before you removed it. Don't know why it fits like that, and it seems counter intuitive, but in my experience they are always like that not only with the Sonata but also Mitsubishi Galant and other cars with similar shocks' set up. Also, control arm bushing bolts should always be torqued with the suspension at normal ride height.
I just checked the service manual, and the exploded diagram doesn't even show it. I can tell you that after 3 1/2 - 4 YRS, my car is just fine the way I installed the washer.

13:18 It's counter-intuitive, but that washer was on correctly, dome side down. You're lucky that you probably don't live in a salt zone. I needed to strip away that nut with an angle grinder right down to the washer, then heat it with a propane torch to knock it off!
I spoke to other people, and looked online, the way I put it was correct, but either way, it sill rides great. It's one of those things that really don't make a difference. :-) Thanks for watching!

Hello Anthony. In my Sonata, the parking brake adjustments are made by removing the center console storage container under the arm rest lid. Pop out the storage compartment.
RockAuto.com. parts are 1/3 price of local parts place. Even shops order from them. Choice of mfgs also. Avoid the cheapest parts . Most stuff even name brand is Chinese now regardless of label. This will help people. שלום
sadly most do not even know how to change a tire.. LOL You should have stated to loosen a bit the bolts when on the ground since so many lift it and try to loosen it and the wheel turn or the car moves when too tight. Also when you screw the tire back to screw the opposite nut is the general rule which you didn't show..
I did state that at 1:52. :-) As for reinstalling the tire, yes, use a crisscross pattern. Unfortunately not every video is perfect, and small things may be left out. Thanks for watching

You can only tighten the bolt shown at 15:11 so much before it stops. Nothing should be twisting.
