Actually they do, but very little. The reflections in 2015 are questionable, otherwise comparing a game made with only night in vision with another game that has day-night cycle is kinda unfair.

Holy shit, I knew they improved the textures and graphics with the better consoles and optimization, but I never realized just how much they improved them. The water droplets and water effects on the car for example at 5:47 and onwards, If I Ignore the title of the game and the other picture I straight up think I am looking at a real life picture of a wet Ferrari. Like the previous games had amazing water effects, but just looking at the comparison, Heat has droplets too but Unbound straight up showers the car and they look hyper realistic.
5:46 the rain graphics in unbound looks like driveclub in 2014. It's more detailed than heat.
Funny we literally have DRIVECLUB devs working on NFS now.

The missing car shadows in Heat make it look like a mobile game
Missing shadows is in my case on nvidia with 1660 Super. On previous RX570 shadows works good.

one thing I hate from unbound is the cops spawn, when I wanna head back to my garage after the pursuit for some reason the cops spawn immediately near my car so I dont have much time to escspe and the pursuit began again, that's so disturbing
If you hear level is above 4, then you'll get undercover cops.
They downgraded the cops HARD in unbound. like very hardcore. Heats cops were not in the same league as most wanted, hot pursuit, or rivals.. but it was far far better than this. Instead of being a challenge like in heat, now they're just a nuisance. Let's not forget that they added the extremely cringe dialogue even to cops. "they're kicking our asses !" "I want a piece of the pie" like come on... Seriously ? Its like a 14 year old tiktoker wrote the dialogue for every character in this game.
@@Boba_Fett1980 I will say this though, idk if you played Heat at launch but the cops were really tough at launch to the point where a decent amount of the community were complaining that they were too hard. Heat's cops never had the brains of MW05, but jesus they were tough at launch. Sadly they got nerfed quietly twice to make the overall community more happy which to this day is pain
@@BlissifiedHH didn't play heat at launch but honestly even tougher cops sounds fantastic. Even with the cops being apparently nerfed in heat as you said, they're still fun to play against and can be a challenge if you're new or don't know what you're doing. Its beyond me why criterion didn't just implement heats cop system and fix the minor flaws it had
@@Boba_Fett1980 I think it comes down to Criterion wanting to find a balance between hard cops and easy enough for new players. And tbh i would also put it down a bit towards the game being rushed, because jesus EA set insane deadlines for games now. And it has been especially visible with the last few NFS titles
Unbound is more natural. No weird annoying filters. Just a more natural approach. The graphics are much more crisper and with some noticeable detail upgrades. If you pay close attention you noticeable it's not a blob as you zoom in very close as most of the previous gen suffered from. They definitely bumped up the detail value on almost every surface. Reflections are superior by miles. Car detail is definitely increased (Except exhaust. Idk wtf happened there). The whole map feels much more alive and active.
Cops were nerfed (BLAME THE COMMUNITY YOUR WELCOME. Honestly. I would like harder cops like MW but I can the issues from a mile away).
The game is an upgrade for sure. It has its own vibe compared to heat.

One thing Unbound has nailed. Like sure they have improved graphics, especially pure textures is a massive improve. But jesus Unbound has some of the best lighting i have seen in a racing game ever, its so vibrant and just perfect imo
I literally spent 3 hours straight gushing over the lighting alone, still to this day I look at my tail lights and watch the light recede as I pass under a bridge or duck into an alleyway

Controversial optimism but Unbound looks so so much better than other NFS titles (unmodded obviously) And imo the cartoon effects are awesome, and Unbound is fundamentally better driving experience. It’s an arcade racing game not a sim game. When I want realism I load up dirt rally 2/WRC8/WRC9. Great vid!
This isnt controvertial imo. Its a simple fact. Ppl to this day are blinded and think 2015 looks the best because it was a dark game with pretty good lighting so you never saw the terrible textures on it. The only like controvertial thing about Unbound is the effects, but apart from that Unbound is miles better than other titles in graphics and handling. Some ppl just dont get that NFS have and will always be an arcade racer and nothing else
these are 2 different graphic "types" how can you compare them with each other? Both games look great by their standards.

The biggest difference I felt while playing unbound is, the developers made the size of all the cars small compared to other NFS games. The size of cars in NFS 2015 was so perfect to the Map the car we drove on. In Unbound the car models look way too small for the map!

for my opinion, unbound's graphics more natural than heat but the heat's weather more better than unbound. if nfs heat have more detail effect from 5:47 - 6:23, that's impossible to compare.
This will depend on the setting wherever the game is placed in. Unbound has more natural approaches to weather patterns. Some days it's cloudy, and does rain, but heat rains TOO often. And you can see theassive change in weather. But for the most part, it is raining often. Unbound not so much.
NFS Heat does not have more detail effects, you literally contradict yourself especially by using the timestamp for the rain effect, which shows how much better Unbound rain effect is, which is a very high quality difference.

the games are practically about equal there is some nice things in unbound but there is again some downgrades (you can no longer choose whether or not to play at day or night,and not to mention the city was better and less forgettable im heat than it is in unbound.
the comparison between the exact car model in 2 different environments is lame .. they used the exact mesh for both games LOL

Not at all to be fair. It's in fact the opposite.
You can even easily evade a heat 5 in a B class car. If you keep maneuvering. The ai react quite slow if you change direction while they're ahead.
@@TimDragonDeckers cops are easier to get rid of in daytime, if you try and outrun the heat 5 cops in nighttime with a b class car they won't be as easy to outrun and will likely drain the health of the slow b class car

No. The vibe is their. But as a brutal fact. All the dark vibe covers up the crappy detail underneath. The surface of the game looks amazing but take away the thin surface and you got lackluster graphics that is inferior to payback.
