Said it once and I’ll say it again, this time 11 years later - BeamNG will go down as the best automotive simulator game of the century.

Beaming began development in 2012, but still its really good when it is an INDIE game and it has better physics then development studio games.
Beamng Drive is still in beta and the devs are updating their physics in the game, but Rockstar hasn't updated their physics in gta since 2013.
Thats very true though beamNG is made for this but for gta its a small part of the game. Both are amazing
Rockstar is on it's own level man.. This game is over 10 years old now..And it's not only a racing game but a shooter game and so much more combined... It is insane

They take the time to make such awesome games and then they take to time to micromanage it into the fucking ground
The only reason people still play GTA is because there's nothing else that comes even close to the type of gameplay it offers, and Rockstar knows this, and they take advantage of it by making whatever changes they want regardless of whether the players actually want the changes or not

So BeamNG takes the cake as its going for Physics and Logic as the devs are trying to make it close to real world.
@@SuperNitr0x gta gives you the freedom to play it how ever you choose too though. realistically or deny the laws of physics whenever you want. I still have yet to see any game beat rockstars attention to tiny details
@@_.blu._5683 I don't think flipping your car back over by steering is realistic. Same with the crash damage. As I said before. GTA is a great game. Has lots of small amazing details that makes it one of the best games. But for physics and logic related to cars or vehicles in general. BeamNG is there to do exactly that, be as close to realism as possible.
Why compare 3 arcade games and a sim? The sim is gonna take the cake all around

I hate people say if the crew moterfest has the worst graphics and physics, it immediately becomes the worst one. Is good the multiplayer is fun and chaotic , good customization and etc.
Right now ppl are saying it's worst BECAUSE of the multiplayer. It's very dead, most of the time in the grand races it's a few players and bots, and no one cruises on the map. The games multiplayer is dead, the physics are terrible, and the graphics weren't really that improved

It's honestly waaay too grindy and the menus are horrendous. I tried to get into the game, but I enjoyed my time on The Crew 2 a lot more, let alone the first Crew.
Physics of the crew are 10x better than NFS. But Forza physics better than crew

BeamNG is the most realistic car sim out there. No game even comes close to the level of detail.
This might as well be called "why beamNG has better physics than any other driving game"
It's also the only game to model the underside of its cars as anything other than a flat, low-res png lol
Gta easily won that video simply because in none of the comparisons it was *that* far off from BeamNG, while being a whole game where you can drive, fly, swim, play a 60 hour campaign or with friends online. It's a game that has %90 of BeamNG's physics and you can go to a strip club ffs. You can mod even better damage and handling physics to GTA 5 but you absolutely cannot mod a first person shooter and a strip club into BeamNG.

GTA's driving model doesn't simulate forced induction, engine thermals, proper suspension geometry, clutches, torque vectoring differentials, torque convertors, tyre flex, driveline wear, fuel consumption, and that's without even getting into force feedback or soft body physics.
GTA's driving model is just about good enough for what that game is and that's fine but don't say it's "nearly as good as beamNG" lol
@@shaxei7116 Yeah when i said nearly as good i only meant the vehicle damage physics, not the driving. Should've specified that. GTA 5's driving is extremely arcadey. Of course even the damage physics are no match for BeamNG's soft body physics but on the surface, (for example when you throw a car off the mountain) they are definitely close enough.
The point is, GTA 5 has no business having even this relatively small amount of accuracy in it's physics considering how big and detailed of a game it is. Whereas in BeamNG you just mindlessly drive into walls and that's it. Sure there are some mods and a *campaign* if you can call it that, but overall it's just a tech demo, not even a full fledged game.
@@ninjafrozr8809 If you think all there is to do in BeamNG is drive into walls then you either haven't played it or you tunnel vision the freeroam button and set out to recreate those car crash compilation videos, get bored after 10 minutes and close the game.

Gta 5 is bigger and more detailed than BeamNG when considering anything but cars. That's why it's so impressive that it still managed to beat all these other games and only lose to BeamNG. A literal soft-body damage physics simulator tech demo turned into a pseudo videogame, is what it took to beat GTA 5's vehicle realism. Now let's compare ballistics physics, ragdoll physics, Advanced NPC AI, dynamic weather simulation etc.. Oh wait, none of these games have any of these things.
No way people are comparing these games when their genre and purpose us completely different.

Notice one huge thing: Beam and GTA have better damage models mostly because of the lack of licensed cars. Most of the newer games have little to no significant damage because it would damage their brand identity if a game like Forza horizon had photorealistic damage. It's not because they could or couldn't it's the problem with the brands of cars and the terms they sign their licenses to.

What bothers me the most about the Crew games is that there's no acceleration to gravity, it's just a flat velocity. This makes it seem like the vehicle is being magnetized or "sucked" down to the ground. Super gross imo
