Ya'll really wasn't playing when ya'll said to install island twists with human hair lol. I'm only two weeks into the style and I already have to detangle and cut out some curls!! Granted, fully submerging myself in water probably didn't help, but here we are. So let me show you how I maintain my island twists!!
I start by putting my hair into four sections. I spray the water/conditioner mixture along my hair, focusing the application onto the curls. Then I individually separate each twist from any tangling that caused them to start matting together. Then I take a twist and separate each curl on the twist. I snip any knots or scraggly ends.
Next, I use some mousse to re-set my hair in the twists. I take one pump and run it along the entire twist. Now to remove frizz from the curls I am using the got2be extra glued styling gel. I take a pea sized amount, maybe even less than that, and smooth it along the each curl individually. And that’s it!
