What do you think of the UL60? Would you rather have one UL60 or two SL60w's for your videos?

Wow! A 70 cm vs. 120 cm softbox comparison with a 60’w light! Wonderful. Exactly what I’m was looking for. Thank you! Would love to have more of that on a typical youtuber setting - head shoot or a little wider desk-and-head/person framing. I’m tempted by the compact ML60, but unsure if a 65 cm softbox is enough.

Glad you enjoyed the comparison! I thought that was a unique comparison to make - especially since I have a ton of 60 watt lights. Different modifiers make a huge difference! Thanks for your kind words!

I use the SL60 it stood the test of time for its price. for audio using padding of --10 to 20db you are good to go. It's good to know there are more convenient options in the market. Thanks for sharing.

Same here, it’s a great budget light if you can get around the fan noise. There have been times where I’ve had to do some additional processing to my audio due to the fan noise but I like that godox is making silent fan lights with more features, especially for client projects! Thanks for commenting and watching

That's a great review, thanks. Do you think one UL60 is enough for overhead cooking videos? And would I have any benefit in having the UL150?

This really depends on the look you’re going for. Most cooking videos have pretty bright with even lighting - you might benefit from two lights for more even lighting.

@@keith-knittel Thanks, I have been using one SL60 with a big diffuser and it works quite well.

It might sound cheesy but I like the option of the lighting effects on the *ML60*
I don't think that's available on the UL60/150/200/300 without using the app, but I could be wrong.

Hey there Jared, the UL60 has 8 different effects, (3) flash, (3) storm, TV, and broken bulb. Not a very large selection of lights, but all can be selected from the control box. They don't require the app. What do you use the effects for? I've never found them useful for my shoots, but could see them coming in handy for music videos and shows

@@keith-knittel - Ooops! I got my model names/numbers wrong. I have the *ML60* and bought four SL60W lights for a fashion video project but returned them and bought the VL200.
I haven't been able to get the *effects* to work via the control box for the VL200 or with the wireless remote, so I'm assuming it needs to be done with the app.
I wanted to use the paparazzi effect on the *ML60* for a future project I'm planning, but that might not be possible with the VL200 unless I use the app.
