thank you for acknolwledging Edgar Castillio and his sons and their hard work, that's something that I don't see everyday.congratulation on getting your studio up and running.
I am anticipating hearing more of your music created in your new studio.
7:26 “I’m not so good at IKEA projects, but I’m gonna give my best!”
...2 seconds later asks the girl if she’s having fun screwing the desk together by hand! Classic! 😂😂😂
Ha! Well we did it like 50/50 haha you really can’t build one on your own it’s too damn big and heavy
sunlounger29 hahaha. he is telling the truth - it was a 50/50 effort. but that's pretty funny to watch back 😂
I'm relieved Brittany! ;-)
Like you, I'm not so good at IKEA projects. 😂
Ha! She even throws a hint too. Only 50 screws to go, as she wonders, dude all the trips to home depot, and all the amazing gear and no power screwdriver? LOL
Built by my people! Wooo!
Thanks for sharing Pete, looking forward to Part 2
Very nice. Of course the construction workers speaking spanish. So undervalued task. Really. They are great builders!
Thanks Pete! I hope to have a small wooden stage or riser one day to sit upon and play.
Looking forward to Pete Thorn New Studio Tour, Part 2!
Terrific Job On The Studio-Looks Great
they did a very good job!!! looks great!!!
That black ceiling is the best thing ever. I'm gonna steal that idea for the future.
I’m glad Pete got a chair with no arms. I think, from what I can see. Very important for guitarists. They get in the way.
Colours affect mood so much, and mood is everything.
Thanks Pete, looking forward to part 2!
man, really love those behind the scence footage! Thanks for putting it out
Excellent work by everyone.
As soon as i saw the DESK flat pack i thought - ¨You´d Better Call a DRUMMER! Luckily you know one
Yes! I'm a real geek for these studio builds and with it being one of my best internet-guitar-buddies-that-I've-never-met (the internet is so weird), it makes it even better...Hope you love it Pete!
Looks incredible!
Congrats Pete ! & Brittany doing a good job there also !
Congrats!
Great looking room!
Beautiful & functional ... who could ask for more. Thanks for sharing with us Mr Thorn
For me this is the greatest video ever. Only one that shows what it really takes to make a recording space.
I once met a guy, who knew this dude, that heard of a guy that didn't like Pete Thorn.. said he was gonna dislike a video Pete made one of these days.. looks like he finally did it.
Extremely cringe comment. 5 years ago you probably thought this was hilarious
Super cool! The silver pipes also look good without painting ... very industrial wave. 👌
Well done, Pete. Looks great!
Thanks Rick!
Mega super jealous of the studio Pete, looks great
Thanks’
Great work, Pete.
Congratulations
Pete thank you for sharing. Really appreciate and enjoy your videos.
I'm glad to have me back! great to see ya Pete thorn
An awesome video by a great guitarist and teacher. Congrats.
Thanks Kenneth!
Stuff of dreams! Nice job!
Nice room Pete!
Looks really great, can't wait to hear the awesome music you'll create in there!
Really looks like those guys did some nice work!
Great space!
That’s a cool looking desk
Nice work Pete, thanks for sharing the creation of your musical sanctuary.
Very nice!
It would also be very helpful if Pete would talk about what kind of building and room the studio was built into.
Mamo Pete built a room inside a warehouse style building using a couple of the existing cinder block walls and then built two more walls and a ceiling.
You beat me to it,Mamo...definitely looks like a room in a room...and thanks for the info,Brittany
@@rickya3877 I'm interested how this works..when you rent a space, are you able to convert it as you like? What happens if you end the lease, must you restore it to how it was or do you just walk away and the next person uses it as is or further modifies it.. it
Polentaccio I'd think it just depends on each place's policy regarding such things
Edgar is the man!
Looks great! Thanks for sharing sir, can’t wait to see what you e got in store for us this year.
Thanks Pete! Your committment to building your studio right is inspiring because it shows you put your money where your heart is-The Music! Obviously you do gear demos and I have bought product as a result but frankly it's your playing, writing , tone and personality that keeps me coming back to your channel. Rock out, Roll on!
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Super nice!
What a massive undertaking - thanks for sharing.
The acoustic of the bare space compared to the various stages that follow is quite explicitly telling. Really shows what proper acoustic treatment is countering, corralling and tuning.
Looks good!
Wow, that’s quite a transformation. The before and after are unrecognizable as being the same room.
Congrats, Pete! You deserve it. You are such a positive influence in this music community. Thank you!
Really nice Pete!
Sweet Pete!
Dude congrats buddy!
Thanks Robert!
looks great Pete! Love the color scheme and that desk looks sweet, this is giving me some ideas for my next space!
Hi Pete, I was one of the people who asked for this. Thanks for delivering. This is more than I had hoped for and I'm only 1/2 way through Part 1. I"m sure a lot of great music is going to come out of this project. Cheers.
This was an awesome vid. Thanks!Always have a cute Awesome drummer help with IKEA projects!
Mine is a woodwind player, my best friend and mom to our 3 kids .
Dude I love this video. Place looks amazing.
Nice studio Pete!!!
happy New year and happy New studio Pete.
love the peaks you get at guitar cases in the beginning of the clip
Edgar and Sons rocked it! Cheers!
Beautiful room...looking forward to seeing part two.
Always interesting to see things evolve
. We can see you are proud and happy. I am happy for you...
Really nice Peter! Love your channel!
Great job on the part 1 photos and videos!
And awesome work all around very clean and professional looking of course 👍😊
Waiting anxiously for the gear walk through tour. Now you have your studio and a Happy Place to go to. Congratulations, looks great.
I remember my many Home Depot trips while building out my place. Nice Studio!✌
Good for you brother. As much knowledge as you’ve freely given to us “non studio professional” players out here in UA-cam land over the years, you deserve this studio. Happy for you man 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks John!
Looks like a great workspace! Congratulations!
Awesome studio Pete. I'm sure you'll love it.
Nice. I’d still be plugging away at all of it.
Congrats Pete, Studio looks great.
looks amazing!
Awesome!!
Congratulations Pete
Gotta admit, I'm super jealous, but also really happy for you. Excited to hear more of what you do with it!
Would love to see more amps "In the zone" those ones are amazing!
Looks awesome Pete! 👏 Enjoy it.
Great room Pete, just what I want to convert my spare bedroom into!! The best I came up with, was my home made isolation cabinet utilizing 6 queen size mattresses, to make a cube type arrangement, to house my 4 by 12 cabinet. Miced the cabinet and away I went. It took up lots of space, but worked quite well...
darren mcsorley
nice
Really cool!!!
I would love a video on How you record videos. Lightning, mics, cameras, etc. Thank You Pete!
I’m terrible at cams/lighting! Ha! But I could show my process a bit I guess
Looks like a good looking room. Can't wait to see part two.
Brother that looks awesome!!! That desk is amazing!!
Pete! Bless you for sharing this journey! I learned so much from this post.
That is killer !
Great to see this Pete, thanks for taking the time to do it
Wow! That was a lot of work! Great video. The room looks fantastic! Congrats on the new space!
Cool video, Pete!. I'm looking forward to part 2.
@7:49 I love À L’avenir! What's funny is that every time my phone connects to my car's bluetooth, this is the song that always plays because it's the first song listed alphabetically. Couldn't be happier about that!
Ha thanks!!
Lol same here, everyday on the way to work!
An amazing space Pete, thanks for the video.
Cool video. New studio looks great. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to part 2.
Awesome room and really like the acoustic treatments you selected.
Pete: I have a similar studio for which I am building now the bass traps. One very important thing I believe is missing in your studio is a rug. It makes the room much more comfortable and also reduces the reverb we can ear in this video.
Looks great, Pete! Color choices help it from feeling too claustrophobic. I'm sure it sounds great. Thanks for the links and the walkthrough. Barry let me pop my head in a few weeks ago (ratting him out) so it's been cool to see the whole build come together.
Absolutely AWESOME! You did it!!! 👌
Looking fantastic!
Thanks for the video tour Pete! Can't wait for part 2
Congratulations on the new room and the move Pete! Looking forward to hearing great stuff from the new digs!
Thanks!
Nice setup, bro!
Spacious! Congrats, Pete.
Awesome new studio Pete, look forward to seeing part 2!
Very nice and done right! Great job Pete
