This was by far one of my favourite episodes, Gordon was exactly the help they needed
From there it’s fantastically real 😄
You know dude that everything is staged right ?
And the restaurant was defiantly not a front for laundering Peter Pastas bookkeeping profits.
@@mysticgeneie4668 Dude he was a made member in Bonnano family. Gordon was lucky he didn't kill him.
Aaaaaand they're closed. :D
I’ll just put this here for context, Peter had ties with the Bonnano crime family, The restaurant was closed down a year later this episode was released in 2007. Peter was kicked out of the group in 2011( I think ) and was disowned by his family, Peters father Yogi passed away in 2011 aswell. According to FBI sources they confirmed that Peter had small ties with the mob.
Like he made them a lasagna
are you sure?
EYYY OHHHH EYYYY
Never expected to see a connection between the FBI and Kitchen Nightmares
What are the odds that this was the first episode too??
As easy as this guy was to dislike I gotta respect Gordon's ability to connect with people. There's a certain point where I'd have written off Peter's ability to front up and take ownership but Gordon managed to get through to him so deeply. Absolutely legendary charisma.
His turn felt so fake😂
It did feel fake but he has a mentality of a teenager.. I as a teenager was behaving just like this tough and shit until I got shut up various ways, and now I'm functioning properly....
True ❤❤❤❤
Dude, the waiter. I can't be the only one who senses a natural aura of profession around him. Dude walks confident, talks calm but direct and has clear, observant eyes. His boss is a child compared to him.

we gotta admit, peter seems to take gordons advice so well like i expected him to get angry but instead he showed the most reasonable, mature, self aware response I've ever seen on kitchen nightmares usa

The fact that this is the very first episode of Kitchen Nightmares US version and they already introduced to the most stereotypical Italian-American with mob connection is wild
Was this the very first US one? That explains why the narrator is still a Scot/Irish dude (I think Scot but I always mistake the two).
@@cm_0011 >Clearly Scot
Aaaah it all makes sense now. This is much more closer to the UK version than the newer US drama arc version: fragmented family causing restaurant issues - bad hygiene fridge (mostly) - Gordon doesn’t see commitment - new launch - something causes delay in kitchen and 1 hr wait - end on a high - family united.
He's literally a satire of a Italian American wise guy lol
Yep, that's what it is.@@juggadaaku4219
Gordon Ramsay has never age, he is looking old by default.
That has to be a super power
Probably from all the stress of Hell's Kitchen
@@That_One_Foolhe was stressed from young, he had a very hard life growing up
He looks old as shit lmao
I read his bio, when he was an apprentice and until he started his businesses he spent almost every day in restaurants, often sleeped only two hours. I guess that's why he's looking so messed up.
This is my favorite episode so far, I love the impact that gordon gave to not only the restaurant but also to peter.
It's so funny, the Romans went into Anglo lands to civilize them, and now, thousands of years later, an Anglo goes into Roman territory to civilize them 😂
Pff , ,, cool story? 😂 We know the real reason you love it was for the cheap fisticuffs. Enjoying the bromance between Gordon and Peter. You can tell deep down they respect each other
I don't think gordon's got respects for him :/
“…fuck off, go and look at your stomach in the window.” Gold from Ramsay.
I think the main problem with this restaurant is the parents. They should have had the balls to exclude Peter from the business, but like most parents they had given in to blind love. And they seem to care far less about the daughter as well which is a tragedy.

I used to date an Italian guy, and I can tell you that his family is EXACTLY like this. They even yell and wave their hands around when they are agreeing with each other. They could be saying "I love you, Nona!" and it would still sound like they were about to kill each other. I went to their house for Christmas and showed up at 10am. The dad met me at the door, and the first thing he said to me was "Red wine or white?" Um, dude, how about breakfast first?
Your comment is as funny to me as the episode 🤣
No breakfast
Only wine
American, not Italian.
i dont know what terrible experience you got , i live in italy and nobody drinks wine before breakfast. also a good percentage not even at lunch except for celebrations and holydays.
They’re not Italian. They’re American with an Italian heritage. Big difference

I gotta give Peter some respect at 24:44. He stood up for his father and for chef Ramsay. Even though he's clearly very bad with anger, he still had a good motive to be angry and he clearly cares about his family and even Ramsay if he was getting that mad about someone disrespecting them.

The audacity Peter had to leave Gordon waiting for AN HOUR!

That part is freaking hilarious lol. That debt collector was nice indeed 😂😂😂
@@namctmusic1601 Screw respect , I think the Dad deserved it for raising such a precious Peter princess 👸 😅
This is one of the few episodes where it’s presented as the food/recipes themselves not being the main issue. Like, he ditched the crab cakes because they were cold but he didn’t make any other complaints about them like he normally would. Every single thing he addressed was pretty much about the running, the organisation, etc
Ravioli from restaurant depot? Aye your talking shite sounds like the foods the main problem
@@richardbunt2278 have you seen the one with Rita?😂
Really?? The fridge was full of wrotten food
Because the running and the organization of the restaurant simply will be connected to the food quality😄👍
because there biggest problem it's Peter lol
every single shot of peter is just him with a drink💀
31:48 that zoom in.🤣🤣🤣
I think this is one of Gordon’s best episodes, he handles this exactly right
Guy's spending a thousand dollars to bleach his teeth, comping wine, and driving a freshly waxed luxury sedan while half his kitchen is busted, no wonder it went belly up.
I can’t lie the whole scene of the fight. Made me respect Gordon a lot. The way he spoke to calm Peter down.
The head chef's reactions is the funniest thing of the episode
The problem here is the father. He doted on the son and he let him does what he wants. If he had taught him right and nurtured him better, he would have made this business so much better than it is as all he does is think about himself and in his own interests.
True. The man was knocked over by his own son and didn't even discipline him for it. He's too timid and his son takes advantage of that
And his son should be the older of the siblings but he acts like a big baby most of the time. His daughter is mature and takes responsibilty.
He should have been given a good ass whooping as a kid....
It's more the sisters business she is going to loose her house and puts in money ....
35:12 i love how gordon just fucking launches him down the bouncy castle
Never seen Gordon Ramsay this calm😂
I just like how he knew that Gordon was telling him what the others wouldn’t and helped him grow and start helping them more
"I'm never speechless. I don't know what to say"
This is golden, this man is a walking mob film
Gordon unbelievable. He can change people so much for the better in such short time.
No wonder the production team spent so much money on him especially on the kitchen, the drama he is giving, really astonishing.
Peter is like a baby he can quickly change his mood but he learns quickly. I think this is the best KN ep by far
In the first few minutes, Gordon was the calmest person in the restaurant
Peter is hilarious. When he took the clams I lost it! 🤣
Peter humbled himself using Gordon's words 😊
After reading the update that the guy had mob ties, im not surprised by Gordon’s quieter demeanour. Everytime he pushed Peter and got a negative reaction, he backed of. He definitely realized there were mob ties
Yeah, that seems about right.
The debt collector was hilarious, as he didn't look intimidating AT ALL!
It's his employer who is the dangerous one
"You fake tough guy, you fake f&£ing gansta💪you blow job!!" 😂🤣
Sadly even though there was a massive change because of Gordon they still had to close their doors since funny enough peter did actually have mafia connections that were tied to family which is unfortunate

Apparently Peter's was a cash-only joint.
If that doesn't scream "mob affiliation" any more than the way Peter presented himself...
''It was revealed in a blog post on Cosa Nostra News that Peter had mob connections and was once working for the Bonanno family.''
not really. got to remember this was like 2008 most places were cash only. paying by card is a very past few years thing in smaller places
@@MrShadowRaiden its fucking new york brudda, they should've had it for atleast 12 years
It costs money to have a card operating system and they seemed to be already losing money, so it would’ve been an extra expense ontop of all the free food he was comping for his buddies.
There may be some mob affiliation but just because they only took cash doesn’t mean that.
@@bnkh it use to be hugely expensive back then to have a card system. its like today where there is software card operate systems that you can buy a license for like $50 per month. it would of cost them like $1000's to impliment one as back then you had to get banks to install it

He has revisited a few places like that!
