Hi Mira. Maybe a senior center could use some supplies &, come to think of it, you would be a wonderful instructor to give a class or three about scrapbooking or maybe 3 dimensional greeting card making🎉. They’d love it 😍.
That’s a great idea and she sure would be! 💜👍🥂
@@clancycreationsahh especially with 🍾 [love your emoji 🥂]
I was thinking the same, but she would have to donate 100% of the supplies needed in order for them to use any of it. They can't go to a craft store, and almost all of their income goes to the home.
Good idea
Excellent idea 💡
Maybe sell "Mystery Scrapbook Grab Bags". A set price, a set amount of paper and stickers, no themes, prepackaged, no returns. Example 30 pieces of paper and 3 sticker packs (or equivalent). People like surprises. The room has a lot of open space now...looks great! Good job! Thanks for the video.
Came there to say this. And if you with little effort (no need to, but nice touch) can make the items loosely coordinated, it would be like getting a scrapbook subscription package. You have nice stuff, so I’m sure it will be popular. Plus people like to support you 🤩
That’s a better idea than getting involved in doing classes. She’s trying to decrease her load and enjoy her own scrapbooking work. An idea maybe for Future Mira but not now.
I'm so glad you gave yourself the credit you deserve! You made at least 19,846,409 decisions! Now, go sleep for a couple days...😂
Hi Bonnie, you did an amazing job. I find your videos faschinating and cant get enough of them and watch them repeteadly. Ignore who says otherways, they can be trolls, lol. I hope we see more collabs with Mira soon. Love and hugs…
Honestly that's what I've been doing, LOL
I decluttered my craft room last year and I donated 90%. It just got overwhelming having so much stuff. It has enabled me to be so much more productive and happier overall.
Hi there Mira…I am a 74 year old woman from Ontario Canada. I just want to say that I want to be your best friend and neighbour. I have had so many good chuckles. Your voice is soothing and your sense of humour is beyond amazing. I watch Bonnie’s videos and that is where I heard of your vlog. I have binge watched your videos and have got to say you are amazing. You courage and strength is outstanding. This very large task and no matter how hard it’s been for you, you plug along and get it done. I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished and you must feel so good about yourself. You are a strong and determined lady…I love to scrap book and make greeting cards and I have a fair amount of items but I must say not even a 10th of the amount you have. I also don’t have a room as big, but I have a small spare room that I use and it needs organizing and you have motivated me to start that for myself. Thank you for that and keep being you, you’re are a wonderful kind and deserving person. Now I have to wait now that I’m all caught up with your vlogs. Sending love your way and you are right Bonnie is a great person. ❤❤❤
I’ve had many of these same thoughts! Mira would be a fun friend between her humor, giggles, vulnerability and her random breaking out into song. Love love love it!! ❤
New here. I love your laugh. I’m a scrapbooker too. Your videos are a warning to me. I need to stop buying and use what I have. I love your saying, “that’s a problem for future me.” I admire your courage and resilience.
"Let's enjoy what I have instead of bringing a ton of new stuff in!" ... A perfect plan for you ... and me!
That before and after is a jaw dropper! Amazing work ladies.
Hi Mira, I have a crazy suggestion. I know you were hoping to sell some of your scrapbooking products, just to make room for the stuff you love and you were talking about how the money you spent on all of those items was really already gone, and not to be recouped. Then you mentioned that there’s lots of people in your area who love crafting. Have you ever thought about giving a class? You could make kits out of your less favorite things, and charge a flat rate for customers for a product supplied class to learn how to do a scrapbooking page. Even if you charge $25 for an hour class or $50 for two hours, provide all the bits and bobs and lead them step by step through making a page. If they want they could bring a photo, and make their page about the photo they bring. Or they could just make a subject page just to learn the basics. And you would make some money, get rid of some stuff and maybe make some friends nearby that like scrapbooking too. You’ll have to decide how comfortable you are with that idea.
PS I want cookies and I don’t care about the calories either!! (Until I step on the scale or look in the mirror)! Lol
That's a terrific idea!❤❤
I absolutely love this idea!!!
Great idea! It'd be good for Colt to make some new friends and get him used to meeting new people. 🙂
Agree about the cookies, too! 😅
Amazing before and after. Pat yourself on the back, you deserve it!
I know what you meant about buying stuff due to fear of the company going out of business. When I first got into this hobby, I somehow didn’t realize that new companies would keep forming, and turning out new products. So I tried to buy everything I could, thinking that eventually I’d get it all, and then I’d stop. Silly, but that was where my brain was at the time. Then I packed it all up for a move, and didn’t unpack it for… 16 years. I’m sure a lot of the pens I bought are dried up by now, but most of everything else is still as good as new. I’m in the process of sorting things out and deciding where to put everything. These videos, yours and Bonnie’s, are such an inspiration! Thanks so much for sharing your process!
I had that same mindset back in the day!
I did the same with the crazy inflation the past years. I bought crazy amounts of yarn, because I thought I wouldn't be able to afford it years later. Now I have an overwhelming amount. Scarcity mindset got me.
@@PeelingAwaytheClutter Someone mentioned your cute layouts. I haven’t caught more than a glimpse, so I hope maybe when you start putting all those completed pages in albums, you show us some of them! 😊
I left this comment on Bonnie’s channel, but wanted to share with you, too. For micro organizing the papers, themes, etc that you were discussing, I highly recommend Tiffany Spaulding’s channel. She has organizing supplies, but you certainly don’t need those to use her Get Organized method. As a fellow scrapbooked, I found her weekly tasks very manageable, and I’ve managed to keep my stash pretty consistently organized over the years.
Hi Mira. I have seem past Mira videos until present Mira videos. And there has never been one time that you didn't make me smile or even laugh. Your laughter is very contagious. Thank you for always making smile. And even though we don't know each other, I am very proud of what you have accomplished so far.
Your progress is great is so many areas, from the tangible results of all your decisions and parting with things to your confidence and perseverance in making those decisions. Excited for you and the boys to have access to your creative space once again.
Keep on keeping on, Team Peeling Away!
You must’ve made thousands of decisions in this video. Pretty impressive, Mira.
Mira, you rock! You have come such a long way from your first decluttering videos last year - you’re decisive, funny, and, making insane progress! So happy for you - and proud of you! Loved watching the boys coming and going. That Colt - he cracks me up, especially hopping in and out and over boxes and trying to take things. He’s an absolute hoot!
Loving the new look in the scrapbooking room - fantastic. And of course thanks to Bonnie and Ali as well.
Loving your videos, angles and all, and your infectious laugh .
Sorry, but of a ramble here but I’m leaving it. Looking forward to the next video !
Regards from Calgary!
Thank you so much!
Hi Mira, I donated several boxes of craft supplies such as rubber stamps (and ink pads) to a kindergarten class at an elementary school- they loved it! Preschools also take similar supplies. Teachers often have to pay for these things out of their own salary. So they appreciate the donations. Just an idea for you! You’re doing such a great job and so inspiring! 💐
Mira, you did an awesome job, besides the help from Bonnie & Ali! Rest then, keep going! Take care! Thanks for sharing! ♥️☺️🫂🦉🦋🌹🐾✨️
You could hang the twine organizer on the wall w/2 sturdy hooks. I did that w/my piping tips for cake decorating
Great tip!
Wow! 🤯There is such a huge improvement.👏👏👏 I'm so happy for you, Mira, you did a great job, and it's marvelous that you had help from Bonnie and Alice. They were kind to help you without judgment or pressure on your ways. The best part is to see your floor again and your cute dogs playing around. I love your reflections about what worked or didn't work during your decluttering journey. Maybe it would be great to write a book about your process, like a guide for others going through huge decluttering like you or people who want to help someone with hoarding situations. Just something to think about. I love your channel!💖
Awesome job! While you have it clear, get a foam mat or under layment for the main section of carpet so its not so cold/hot so you can enjoy the space easier and the puppies dont get cold tootsies. Or atleast somrthing inder the desk so your tootsies stay warm. Think you all did an excellent job. It looks wonderful!!🎉🎉
Oh Mira your scrap room is really getting good!! Seeing Colt with all that carpet space is great 👍
I was so excited to hear you say you’re considering selling some of your items you don’t want. I would be interested for sure. I love the t-shirts you sent me! 😍
Please let me know when you want to know what I’d like to purchase. Thanks so much!
Clay looked like hey Colt I’m the Inspector …you’re the Assistant Inspector!
Watched a couple of your/Bonnies videos yesterday, and all I cam say is YOU GO GIRL!!! You inspired me to think outside the box (haha, punny) and rearrange my lil corner of creating that I have been putting off.
As far as your "letting go" stash, love the mystery box ideas that have been coming up. What about lining up boxes with one type of item in it, i.e. one with stamps, one with paper, one with die cut outs, dies, etc. And then make a bunch of mystery boxes by grabbing some stamps, then paper, then dies, etc. and making boxes with some of each in each box. No thinking about what ends up in each box, and poof, its filled!
No matter what you do, I am glad you have decided to share your journey. It really is encouraging!!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
loooove your videos and the term decision fatique..I think you did and are doing a great job, i can relate to your decisionmaking and love the humor about yourself and your sorting process....compliments, you are working yourself through the piles with a great result
I'm so glad you have Bonnie to help you! It's been such an amazing collab to watch!
Loved the observation you made that Mt Doom is your boss fight. You made me laugh and ask myself what my Mt Doom/clutter boss fight is. Maybe that could become a fun t-shirt or other merchandise in your shop? Thank you for sharing your journey. Have a great weekend!
Quality content at awkward angles! Love it!
I almost cried when i saw your after shot!!! It is unbelievable what you accomplished in there. Unbelievable!!!! You should be so proud. And now you can micro organize to your hearts content, and putter, and create, and have a haven to retreat to when you're sick of the hard work in other rooms. Yay Mira!!!
I suspect that when you get to Mount Doom, you will find it much easier than you expect. By clearing away as much as you have already have, plus organizing so much of what you have chosen to keep, you will be able to lower that pile much more quickly, even if you limit yourself to only two boxes a day.
I was thinking that exact same thing! Mira, you’ll have had so much practice by the time you get to Mount Doom. 👍
You mentioned the "big boss fight" and the laundry room. I used to think this of my basement and then I was forced to clean it out quickly. It was difficult in the sense that it took a long time but honestly it wasn't that hard to get rid of the things it was more about setting aside the time.
You can do it! You will conquer the laundry room!
I reckon the hardest thing is starting! 😅🙂
As a scrapper whose room looks like the before, this is so inspiring! You did SO much work and I am sure you will have such a great time creating in there. 💖
Holy, what a transformation!
If you're willing to sell stuff, the easiest way would be mystery boxes. Atleast thats what I would do! That way you dont overwhelm yourself ❤
Watching this was very inspiring Mira! It can be so difficult mentally to part with so many things you spent money on, had big plans for...so many of us relate! Thank you for sharing your journey of decluttering with us!
I crochet, so I have so much yarn! I have donated some to my cousin's church group that makes lap blankets. I have made lap blankets that I donated to the group. But I still have so much more!!!! LOL. Thanks for keeping me company this evening. 💜
It's nice to have up-close shots and an overview of the room shots, so I'm enjoying both of your perspectives.
You did do a lot! You will get a lot of joy in that room ❤
FYI my friends removed their rubber stamps from the wooden blocks, take up way less space.
I think the old red rubber stamps are so better at stamping fine details IMHO.
Yes a mystery box!!
You're doing so well!!!
Maybe gather the supplies, enough to make one small scrapbook - cardstock, stickers, maybe a stamp or set of stencils, you know what I mean. Put it all together in sets and sell them to folks contacting you wanting it. From what you've said and from what I can tell, I do believe you could actually sell quite a bit. Bonnie sorted alot by color, start there. You probably have alot of one color or an overabundance of something so that probably cleans out one box. Have you kept up the rest of the house you've decluttered ???
I watched this twice. I love the amt of stuff that you have. The variety of it all is amazing. I have the scrap cabinet which helps to organize things. I have a dresser and a cabinet and that is all. I’ve said before that I mainly use Creative Memories.
Hey Mira, currently decluttering old Scrapbooking magazines as I watch this but I had to pause and just say Your Layouts Are So Cute!!! It’s so fun to be destashing alongside you. You’re totally keeping me motivated ❤😊 😍
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
Wow...just wow🎉😂🎉
I have a lot of scrapbook paper, too, and I no longer scrapbook. I make cards with my scrapbook supplies. I am slowly using, along with decluttering it.
Mira, I hope you’re well! I just wanted to say as I’ve watched you over the months your voice is really becoming more lively and hopeful, and happier!
I also wanted to say how much you’ve helped me and inspired me to declutter my own life - I’m not really decluttering in the sense of getting rid of ‘things’, but I’ve been getting rid of stuff that no longer serves me and I’m feeling healthier and happier for it. My migraines are reducing. It’s really quite incredible actually. I’ve started to write again, and for all of that I thank you.
With kindest regards, Lena.
You should have Bonnie go through the room of doom and pull all the scrapbooking supplies from there for you to sort and have everything in one place
Now I’m ready to watch you do some scrapbooking videos! Love the room! Proud of you!
Yes! Thank you!
Nothing wrong with letting go of things in stages! Do you watch The Space Maker Method? I think her videos (with Tracy especially) capture that idea too 😊
Oh wow!
So proud that you are able to let things go. I also have a crafty hoard ( mostly organized) but you are SO RIGHT that going through craft supplies is fun. I am feeling a little jealous, wish I was sorting with you.
Mira you have worked so hard.. congratulations to you and the wonderful room
I have been watching your channel and another lady's (sorry can't remember the name) I watched hers first then yours. I am impressed with all you are accomplishing. It is very hard to do. You are inspiring to others and what you have gotten done and still doing! Have blessed day!
What a wonderful transformation!! You have come such a very long way, Mira, and I hope you are extremely proud of yourself.🥰
Amazing Mira! Cannot wait to see you enjoying your "new" space
😁
Wow, it's looking so good!
Oh my Mira you and Bonnie have done amazing work getting your craft room organized bravo you’re going to love crafting up a storm now. You can shop your craft store😁you have amazing items thank you for taking us on this journey I truly enjoyed it🥰 till next time 🥰
Awesome. Enjoy that space. It’s going to be so relaxing for you. Kudos to you and all of your sorting etc and to the girls for helping you. They are awesome people.
I have been doing this with my craft items. It's so hard to get motivated. You have all done amazing. I know how hard it is emotionally after a loss. It took me 5yrs before I could even think about starting. So we can move to a bigger house. 🤔 you should feel so darn proud 👏 🥲 🥰
The dog narrative was amusing
You crack me up 😂love your channel and I love that you make yourself laugh also ❤
Go, Mira!! This was so awesome.
When you have your scrapbooking sale, try a Paper Buffet ...They can pick 10 for a certain price...When I go to scrapbooking weekends, it's a lot of fun
Just one word WOW!!!!!!!!
WOW WHAT?!!?!??!?! That's AMAZING, Mira! It looks SO GOOOOOD!
Wow!
ahhhh!! i'm so happy for you i know all that progress feels like a weight lifted!
I get it with the bins. I went into my “office” where I haven’t been able to get to in 2years and I saw bins. Believe you me. I don’t need to buy another thing!
❤❤❤❤the end result
I like the idea about groupings of items like stamps, embellishment, etc.
You could list what you have available and see if anyone wants to just take the lot.
Hi Mira, the room looks now sooooo nice.😊
Love the idea of mystery boxes. And I think you should just put a mixture of things in them. Make them essentially all the “same” so it’s easiest for you! I think that is key - making sure it is easy for you. If you do this, you could sell some of them or donate them either way. And if you use the usps priority mail boxes that are flat rate you can just have a set price for them all that includes the shipping. Boxes are free and you could just get everything boxed into them and have a pile that you can sell or donate as you are ready!
You are doing an amazing job! I’m off to spend the day scrapbooking at a crop! ❤
Colt stealing stuff cracks me up! BWHAHA!
What a difference! Well done Mira and Bonnie, that is like a different room. TFS xxxx
It looks so good now. Congratulations!!! 🎉.
Hi Mira, yours and Bonnie's videos complement each other. Also Lady you did amazing in yhe declutter, i saw on Bonnie's video the decision fatigue you went through, that's something many of us understand. You are amazing, take care if you.
Fantastic work! Yes, do give yourself credit! ❤
Wow, wow, and more wow. Mira, you and Bonnie and Ali outdid yourselves. I cannot believe how good the scrapbooking room looks! Congrats and just enjoy it.
Yeah!!
You are doing a great job! It is hard but you are rocking it! Thanks for sharing your life with us!
I like that you said that you are going to work on being happy with what you have and on recognizing that what you have is a lot! That is what I need to work on too!
Incredible day 6 result 🙌
Great work Mira, with your support crew who have worked tirelessly 🎉 and wouldn't be the same without hijinx from Clay and Colt
Holy cow looks amazing!
I would definitely buy by the box of certain items.
Wow! ! ! ! What an amazing transformation Mira ! ! ! ! Clay & Colt
I know selling sounds like a great idea, but you have SO MUCH that honestly, you just need to get it out of your house. I can only imagine how that would wear you out.
Most of the crops I go to, on a regular basis, have a free table.
I donate to the free table and try to take less than I donated.
I think you should do a bit of both. Donate the really old stuff to a senior center as mentioned above or anywhere you would feel really good about. Then make kits with the stuff that you still like to "shop" through so that you stay inspired to do so.
Wow you guys did a wonderful job. It looks great. I will be sad when this room is completely done.
Fantastic job sticking with the scrap room declutter! Impressed with your perseverance!!!!❤🎉👏🏻👏🏻
You did amazing ! Great job😊
Mira, the room looks great! Congratulations on all the progress you made. Take some time to relax and the Mountain of Doom might not be as bad as you think Just do it at a pace you can handle. The change for the better in your home is wonderful. You inspire me so much.
Thank you!
Oh wow! You all did an amazing job. What a nice space to scrap book now.
🎉 Congratulations 🎉 This looks amazing! You and the pups will enjoy this room so much! 👍💟🐾🐕🦋
Wow wow that looks fantastic
You might check with the girl club or scout groups in your area to donate some of your supplies. I'm sure they would be appreciated.
Great job, Mira! You and Bonnie make a great team❤️
Wow the room looks great 🎉
I love the space you have now!
So proud of you Mira. Great job😊
Mira great job!!! I hope you use the suggestions given to you from viewers to whom to donate the arts/crafts. Donating is a great feeling to others that can enjoy them
Bravo beautiful lady! That after shot is incredible 😊 enjoy your creative space... you'd have sufficient floor area to lay out your first tshirt quilt if you feel uninspired at any time ☺ luvs to the pups and big ups to Bonnie, you rock ❤
Wow, Great job Mira!!🎉🎉🎉
Your scrap room looks awesome!!
