with how those 2 turned out, can't wait to see what you get from the 3rd bit of rough. much respect on the collaboration with Riley. all be it just a little, from my correspondence with him, the above & beyond any expectation professionalism Riley treated our discourse garnered my appreciation & respect. 🍻 ✌️🐝➕
nice stones, and the machine seems to work quite well. As for your poll, you will just have to do all three. live premiere and live stream will have a much more limited audience, unless all your subscribers live in the same country(doubtful). cant wait for the next mining video and the creatures you save!
Great video Phil; we do prefer the full length movie. All is good, and thanks for the changeover video of the pads. Showing the final polishing and cerium oxide was great. I didn't know till recently that the shapes you use are because there are standard jewellery size pre-made ring & pendant blanks. Watching you helps it all come together; I feel as if I have almost completed my apprenticeship, lol. We really appreciate your videos Phil, regards Paul BB 👍
G’day mate, yeah be careful when buying stencils, ovals ain’t ovals, there’s variants, long thin/short stubby. If you’re cutting for pre-made settings, get the corresponding stencil. For me, I hand make every setting, this means I can set any variant, and other shapes including freeform. I still consider myself an apprentice, I’ve a casting kit to break in yet. 🤪👍
Hiya Phil, awesome video mate and congrats on 5k. The stones came out beautifully as always mate. I hope you have a awesome blessed day. Cheers! Cya! 😺🐟 out!
Congratulations on 5k. I've found a mechanical pencil has the best staying power for the stencil marking. It also helps to give a more accurate size when cutting specific sizes for settings and multiples of the same size.
Hey Phil, I’m doing my first time acid treatment, normally do matrix in the oven. Do you still use the vacuum chamber for sugar stage or have you given up on that. I’ve just moved my stones to the crock pot in acid on low heat, guess we’ll see if a few days…..
G’day Jeff, I do 3hrs hot sugar-3hrs hot acid, only if it doesn’t take a very good treatment do I cook longer, and consider the vacuum chamber. I hope it goes well. 🤪👍
I’m getting the stands done up like my machine with the paint job, I get them back today, then I’ll need to bolt them to the workshop floor. I can’t wait, but with everything going on it’s taken time. 🤪👍

Thanks mate, I like your logic, I also check the shape against the stencil when cutting, I keep bringing it in till it fits. 🤪👍
When do you do the live with the other stone? These 2 gems are beautiful, I particularly like the yellow one, I hope you can make a clean gem.
Soon. 🤪👍
Andamooka crystal? Whatever it is I love it

@@theopalmills thanks, I did 2 days in hot sugar and 30hrs so far in warm acid, I guess I’ll pull them out tonight then 🤣🤣
If you’re able to, take a sneak peek.
When are you gonna use the press you bought?

Whoa the first piece looks like a fossil.
Would like a voice over over the music
