- G’day yea, I hope you’re all well! In this video we’ll be making a 60th birthday present in the form of a 9 karat gold ring set with Andamooka matrix. The gold is scrap and is melted down to take on its new form, a size ‘S’ gold ring with bezel set matrix opal. Also included in this video, a Blue tongue lizard feed, and a couple of updates. The lizard was adorable. I was surprised when I saw the little blue tongue. I've never seen little white strawberries either. Fascinating watching you melt the scrap gold into that beautiful ring. I really enjoy watching you work.

Hay brother I think I have a nice piece of matrix what temperature is the best to treat? And can you treat before cutting and polishing?
G’day mate, I cook mine in a slow cooker on high for the sugar, then fluctuate between high and low for the acid. You can treat at any stage you’d like to. 🤪👍
