Great video! I'm taking the GRE in two days and was freaking out but this video helped me relax...I've been preparing for the past three months and trust my preparation... I believe I will do okay, thank you for the tips :)
Great video!! I watched this the morning of my test. This definitely calmed me down. The reminder that this test is an opportunity and not a burden, really put things into a different perspective for me. I'm not so scared anymore. So for that, I thank you for the video!!
@@DominatetheGRE I got a 158 verbal 164 quantitative. Thank you so much! I started to panic during the quantitative as I was running out of time, but then I remembered what you said about deep breathing. I was able to relax and budget my very limited remaining time and maximize my score with what I had to work with at that moment. I think this advice is applicable to more tests than just the GRE. Thank you!
This is the only video I have seen of yours which I found by fluke 2 days ago. I’m so glad I did. Just gave my GRE. Got 6 points more than I wanted or needed. Three words pulled me through, trust your prep! You’re a godsend, Brett. Thanks for doing what you do.
Lol I literally came across this video the morning of my test day and it basically told me to calm down and I'll be okay no matter the outcome. I needed this...even for this morning. Thank you.
Thank you so much for these helpful tips!! I am taking the GRE tomorrow and I was on the verge of a mental breakdown lol but your tips have really helped me stay calm and better prepare for the big day. God bless you!
This is my 1st UA-cam comment. I am impressed by your videos and I sure that you helped a tons of students who are going to take the GRE. Thank you! But if I want to watch all your UA-cam videos, how do I do that? I need a quick answer please.
This is awesome! I'm glad you've found my videos so helpful. I've packaged my full suite of videos in a number of different ways. You can see the different options here: www.dominatethegre.com/gre-prep-courses-online/. I'm looking forward to working with you and good luck!
Awesome video. Unfortunately, I'm taking the exam this Friday (6/29) and I have not studied at all. Just haven't had time. Ugh. Say a prayer. If I do poorly, I may have to enroll into your program. Is 21 days enough time to study for the GRE?
I had a woman recently sign up for my GRE Quantitative Course just 5 days before her GRE and she improved her quant score 8 points! So yes, a lot of improvement can be make in 21 days. Best of luck to you on Friday and yes, please do consider my course if you do end up needing to retake it. I'll look forward to working with you.
August 26th will be my second time in taking the GRE. Unfortunately, I unsuccessfully took the test May of this year and I wish I had access to your videos prior to that test. Your videos are helping not only on my practice quizzes and tests, but my mentality revolving around this test. I have become substantially less anxious and more confident simply by watching a few of your videos. I am writing this to thank you (: Hopefully I will be able to utilize your tips prior to and during the test this time around!
Excellent! I'm sure you'll do great this second time around. If you'd like to dive deeper into any of the GRE topics between now and the 26th, I do have a-la-carte "mini" courses here: www.dominatethegre.com/gre-prep-courses-online/gre-video-lessons/. Good luck!
i take my test tomorrow and i was literally about to re open my GRE prep book to cram and the first tip was to not do that lol. This was really helpful. I have already taken the GRE 3 times in a prep class.
I was soo nervous for my GRE which is in a few days and this video totally helped me to relax..:) Will definitely keep these tips in mind when I'm going for the test.
I'm glad to hear it! When are you scheduled to take the GRE? You might also benefit from this podcast episode we did about how to overcome test anxiety: podcast.dominatetestprep.com/548431/2589832-15-overcoming-test-anxiety-with-bara-sapir
I'd suggest writing at least a couple practice essays so that you dial in your time management and can get all of your points down in an organized way in under 30 minutes. Additionally, make sure you really understand how to analyze a logical argument and can clearly identify an author's assumptions and attack/strengthen those assumptions accordingly. A lot of people have never had training in how to do that, so you may benefit from my GRE Analytical Writing course that breaks it all down for you: www.dominatetestprep.com/store/dcLxj8mo. If it's too late and you've already taken your GRE, I hope you did well! If not, consider one of our courses so that you can boost your score the next time around. Best of luck to you!
Brilliant video! I’m taking the test tomorrow and I just stumbled across this. I suffer from anxiety, and I’ve been trying to convince myself to take a break and relax for the last day, and watching your video gave me confidence. I’m going to “chill out” for the rest of the day and show up happy tomorrow. Thank you for the great tips :)
Did not get anxious during the test, ended up with a 317! Just took a break for the entire day, followed your advice for test day morning with some yoga, and had a positive happy attitude throughout the day. Thank you! :)
I am writing in exactly 2 hours. Definitely going to use these strategies to calm down because I am in a pretty abd place right now. I have been following your videos for the past week, slowly but I tried my best. Let's see how it goes!
Thanks for the well wishes but it went horribly. I got a 152 in quant and don't think I am able to retake the GRE successfully and in time for this round of applications.
