The 06 & 07 trans aren’t happy being banged… talking about the Z06’s, not gender shifting non-binary Prius, driving types… lol. 😮 Actually they probably tend to use public transportation… you know, good for the environment…
Very cool running high 10s with a naturally aspirated motor must be smiling big knockoff some time on your 60 foot you'll be running 10.60s -10.70s with the mph your going probably enough to keep up or beat a new C8 Z06 l like the C6 body style better than the C5 or C7 congratulations car sounds and runs awesome
Thanks! Yea the large issue I'm having is the stock clutch could only take so much slipping and launch rpm. This launch was only at 3k rpm w/ an msd 2 step.
It has really helped. I have had it set pretty low (around 2500 rpm) due to the stock clutch not liking to launch hard. But looking forward to turning it up soon bc I have a new clutch in it now.
Holy shit. That FC was outta there.
Damn...that thing moves. Well done!
The Corvette was pretty good too
Dodge and GM are king baby!
It's sandwich time! 2.16 sec reaction time. Plenty of time for a hoagie.
Test and tune lol. Racing myself, not the guy next to me.
Damn! That is fucking awesome! I’m assuming you’re the fastest in your friend group!
My mannnnn
😒
crazy after all these years c6z still competitive.. might just be able take on c8z
I would think a properly tuned HCI C6Z would do honorably matched up with a C8Z on a roll race only
Not likely. Trans is too efficient.
Time will tell
A C6Z with good bolt ons not even a cam will give a C8Z more than it can handle. A HCI car will wreck one
Agreed. It's just power to weight.
Nice job bro!
Appreciate it!
I believe this setup is capable of a low 10 second pass. A better launch and faster shifts and you will be there.
Yep I agree. The stock clutch had me very limited. I have an RXT in it now. Hoping for better results in the spring!
@@RedBird2.0 I agree!!! The stock clutch limits you a lot in these things
@@YELLOW08Z06 yep! Great driveability with the stock clutch but it wasn't happy with holding the power after heads and cam. Especially from a dig.
How's the driveability? I've always used monster clutches so I'm between this or the LT1-S twin disc
Oh and are you running a 275/40 DR on that C5 wheel? Looks like the 17x9.5

Gotta keep those revs up. Seems rpm dropped back to 1200 rpm at launch.
This is with the stock clutch. It was only willing to take so much
was this on 93, e85, mix? what tires? nice clean run.
Appreciate it. On 93. Tires are Mickey Thompson et street R, 275/40/17

Isn’t this a comparable ET and trap speed to the current Z06?
Per motor trend, the c8z does the quarter in 10.6 at 131mph. So close trap speed wise
How much did the two step help your launch?
It has really helped. I have had it set pretty low (around 2500 rpm) due to the stock clutch not liking to launch hard. But looking forward to turning it up soon bc I have a new clutch in it now.
stock clutch??
Yea stock clutch here.
What a bout the C4?
If you're talking about my buddy in the car next to me, that's an rx7 FC body. He ran a 10.7 at 138mph
@@RedBird2.0 Ok My bad I have a 96 Vette and it looked like a C4. was the RX7 rotary?
@@indybill4 haha no worries. Yep it's a 2 rotor with a rather large turbo
If you own a 2006 or 2007 you would understand…. In reference to granny shifting comment for the 5.0 side of the crowd
Pretty slowww 0-60 for 600+ rwhp, when these are supposed to do 3.8 stock.
Factory clutch did not like sticky tracks or hard launches
