You can hit low 10s judging by the fact you hit a 6.9s 60-130mph in one of your street pulls right? Either that or you'll have to raise the maximum speed in 3rd gear somehow to avoid shifting into 4th. Bigger tire or higher rpm limit wouldn't work, would it? I'm not a mechanic but interested in mechanical stuff so just curious.
@@3O2MuStAnG yea I've been thinking about raising the rev limiter to 7500. And in my experience with this car, the larger diameter tire has hurt the final ET; since it lowers the final gear ratio.
@RedBird2.0 Is 7500rpm just a matter of programming or does it take some internal work on the LS7? I would absolutely love to see it scream through the 1/4 mile on top of 3rd gear
@@3O2MuStAnGYou can raise the rev limiter through the tune by plugging into the obd2 port and using HP tuners software. The current internals as is, are ok to rev to 7500.

did you change the clutch fluid before you went to the track?
@@7.0SLO yep I change it before and after any track outing. I had the stock clutch here, which did not like any abuse from a dig at this power.

@@7.0SLO yep so true. Stock clutch did great on the street while rolling. I do have an rxt in the car now and it has taken everything I've thrown at it so far.

If you can shorten the time on those shifts, you'll likely shave off about a half a second or so. Look into getting the tune for the "no lift shift" from the C7 and see if you can get that to work. Very nice Z bud, sounds sick.

@RedBird2.0 thicker tire or better tire is needed imo and you'd break 9s with it the way it is. Then you can launch higher like it needs. Thing will take off like a bat out of hell lol
is your car lowered?
I personally never have and the suspension is all stock. The previous owner may have lowered it slightly on the stock bolts but I have never messed with it.

Theres no way you're pushing 700HP on a Stock LS6 Bottom End, would be lucky to push 600 from that

C6 needs some better tires for the strip
Apart from the v8s the cobalt ss was one of chevys best 4 cylinder ever made..my brother had a saturn ion redline it shared the gen 1 supercharged engined in the cobalt ss..he put alot of money into it and was beating v8s..the turbo model was a better option..but it wasnt out yet when he bought his ion redline..

That's pretty good. When I had mine on the dyno it did have 4.10 gears. So that didn't help the numbers. Have you taken yours to the track?

what wheel and tire setup
SVE r350 wheels from LMR.com Rear wheels are 19x11 and front wheels are 19x10. Rear tires are 305/35 19 and front tires are 285/35 19. All 4 tires are Nitto NT555 G2.

Hey Bro , I have a stock 01 . I brought it almost a year ago , just drop a whole new clutch kit in it . Got a lot of plans Lol. What where your modifications at this time and what did you run
At this time it was a JLT wheel well intake, Mac long tube headers, Mac off-road x pipe, slp LM1 catback, 4.10 gears and dyno tuned on 93 octane. This was also on a brand new motor (stock rebuild). Cracked a piston on the original motor. Tires were bald all seasons and OEM worn out shocks lol. It ran a 13.4 at 106mph. 60ft was deep into the 2's.

Haha so I've owned it for almost 6 years now and it had the heads and cam done for about 5.9 of those years. The motor and actually the car overall has not had a single issue yet. I actually drove it around today lol
