Yeah that's a weird branch of logic. I'm not sure how he missed that the 3DS Rainbow Road stage actually used the model from MK7, and they'd basically have to recreate the entire map from scratch just to use it in Ultimate, so it only makes sense it'd get cut
4:22 - (Racing) Stage functionality. A way stage morph could work for Jungle Hyjinx is if players are in the background they could teleport to the barrel in the background before the stage changes while the barrel in the foreground gets deactivated, if someone was traveling between the two during this time it will delay the stage morph until they hit the ground where it will shoot them back
I like the delay, but something else they could do is something already in the stage. At some points, all of the foreground and background go down. Just make THAT FEATURE. WHICH IS ALREADY IN THE GAME, always happen before stage morph
I think the real reason why Pokéfloats' removal was simply that it was fucking weird. No other stage consists of random character models floating in the void while every other stage is actually designed to represent a certain game's world. Pokéfloats would be a weird outlier.
@@derpycats8072 although, if they kept the old models it would have been a cool retro-like stage, just like how the Smash 64 stages still have the pixelated look from the original game
I dont think the Stage Morph was the reason why Icicle Mountain and Rumble Falls got cut. Considering that all stages will entirely stop moving once a morph will start to happen I don't see why these vertical stages won't do the same if they were in Ultimate. I think the developers just saw the terrible design these stages had since they were cut from Smash 4 too
Well you see that would make sense but momento,3d Land spirt train. And when you switch it gets rid of the floor so I mean this argument dosent really Uhh make sense Ok I put this before it was edited
And people saying those arguments keep on forgetting that Rainbow Cruise is in Ultimate and has vertical scrolling. And other horizontally scrolling stages just stop once stage morph starts.
I think it’s less so the stage morphing but rather the stage getting morphed to. When a stage gets morphed to it comes in from the bottom, so with a vertical scrolling stage players will get caught at the very top of the stage then immediately pushed beyond the upper blast zone as the stage continues getting to the bottom. That could also explain rainbow cruise as when it’s morphed into only the ship you start on is loaded in. I could be completely wrong tho idk how the game would handle loading in vertical stages
I honestly think the Ice Climbers actually ruined a lot of stages' chances of getting in. During development and playtesting, I'm pretty sure 16 Ice Climbers kept crashing all the stages, which Sakurai even mentioned the Ice Climbers barely made it back in since it was difficult trying to get 16 of them on screen without the game crashing or having issues. With how intense Orbital Gate Assault is, the 16 Ice Climbers kept crashing the stage and they had too many problems and ended up sadly and reluctantly scrapping it. I'm pretty sure that's not something they're going to admit in an official statement putting the blame solely and specifically to Ice Climbers because could you imagine the extreme backlash and huge amount of salt from the fanbase?
I'll be honest, the "planned Kirby's Epic Yarn" stage seems more like Sakurai's attempt at decreasing suspicion of bias against any Kirby game he didn't direct. If there was actually plans for a Kirby's Epic Yarn stage, you'd think that there would have been leftover songs from the game, and yet there's not a single Epic Yarn song in the entire Smash soundtrack, not even ports.
@@elijahpadilla5083 There was a Gen 2 battle medley in Melee though. Plus Melee stages only had two songs at most, unlike Smash 4 which gives stages several songs, with many being taken directly from their original source.
There's actually an extra stage that was also scrapped in future installments, and that's the World 1-2 version of Mushroomy Kingdom which appear when selected randomly selected, though it, or the original, could also be selected at will when holding down a certain button. Much like with most cut stages I disagree with this decision, I mean, yeah, it has issues, but I really do love the design of both Kingdoms, they're definitely one of the most uniquely designed Super Mario levels. As much I do like the new Stage Morph, man, has it really hampered a lot of past stages of not returning... I think a solution of what the could've done for Jungle Hijinx is that the stage wouldn't morph to the next one until all players were back at the original starting point. It really is a shame that they haven't returned, some are understandable, but, honestly, I'd say just bring back all of them including every Smash variation of Battlefield, and Final Destination, I mean, find some way to work in Miiverse, and you're golden (plus, I just miss Miiverse! It was so nice to interact with other Wii U owners, as well as 3DS owners, across the world without having to rely on other social media platforms (unlike the Switch), and I'm hoping Nintendo will make an alternative on the Switch someday however unlikely it may be)! I guess they could'e also included the breakable, and ? Blocks from the bigger Mushroom Kingdom stage into the smaller one. Regardless, this has been another solid video, Siiroth! :D Maybe you could also do a video on explaining every Item that's been cut in the Smash series!
How would you ensure that the players all return to the foreground at some point in Jungle Hijinks? It's quite possible for at least one player to be in the background part for the entire match save the initial couple of seconds it would take to use a barrel at the very start.
They could just make it so some stages are incompatible with stage morph. Like withh 8 player smash limiting stages in Sm4sh and certain assist trophies not spawning on certain stages
One goal of Ultimate was to make all stages work under all circumstances, including always working in 8 player smash. So I'm sure they didn't want to do that.
Because at the end of the day, no one would care. Let's be honest, if they just had Pictochat 2 but called it Pitochat X, how long would it take for most people to notice it was actually just Pictochat 2?
I was never on board with the whole "pac maze needs multiple screens" theory. If P1 is in control of the ghosts they can still turn blue, but also have the P1 icon hover above them so every one knows who they belong to. It's already an idea they implemented to assist trophies
For Jungle Highjinks they could have made it where when it’s near time to stage morph they would destroy the platforms in the background forcing you to go back into the fowardground. The stage already did that so it wouldn’t be difficult to program
For the pacman stage's ghosts, they can change to the player's color rather then just blue. For example, if the red player ate the power pellet, then the ghosts would turn red
Perhaps as an homage to Pac-Man's color the player with the pellet would have a bright yellow silhouette, like how 3D Land turns players gold after getting 100 coins.
Rainbow Road was most likely cut for a similar reason to Poke Floats, they imported the entire track from Mario Kart 7 into the game so it would've needed a huge graphical overhaul in Ultimate and they likely thought it wouldn't be worth it given that you only stop in at a few parts of it.
Honestly, If you ask me, their is an easy way to add in at least 4 of these cut stages back into the game, and that is through the music menu. This idea came from the Terry Bogard update, or more specifically, the king of fighters stage. What if, for Corneria, Flat Zone X, and Brinstar, the music that plays changes what the stage is? For instance, if you play the music from Sector Z on Corneria, it changes to Sector Z, same for Brinstar from 64, and for Flat Zone X, if you play Flat Zone 1 music, you can only access the stage elements from Melee, same for Flat Zone 2.
While it's a cool idea, Flat zone x only has a song from 1 and one from 2,so you would never be able to access both type of transformations at the same time if you want to do that
@@videogamesleague629I see your point. There are two solutions to this problem, either ,A, Add a music track to it that is exclusive to Flat Zone X or ,B, Not Include Flat Zone X into this idea at all. While I would prefer A, B is not off the table.
"Nobody misses these stages," I hate it whenever UA-camrs assume this... Truthfully, I liked N64 Sector Z better then GCN Cornaria. The Great Fox in it was bigger, and more fun to traverse, and the Arwings flew lower making them work as better platforms, and allowed you to reflect their shots as Fox. You could also bounce people into the back tail fin, and such, so there's other differences too.
Facts, thank you. I feel the same way, it’s annoying when UA-camrs project their own thoughts and think they speak for everyone. Sector Z was bigger than corneria and had a much more cooler background and hazards
Agreed 100%, but I'll add I think Zebes was MUCH better than Brinstar, which was basically an annoying Battlefield that isn't even competitive. Brinstar is not unique enough to be fun, too small, it replaces a really good stage...and I even think it's drab color palette is boring and awful. Zebes was dark but also colorful and the music was upbeat and lively, the acid was easier to escape because there was more platforms, and these 4 platforms and mountainous bottom added a lot to add variety to gameplay, making projectiles harder to use but still adding extra space to battle. Zebes was always one of the best 3 64 stages for me after Hyrule and Sector Z and up there with DK Jungle, I don't know why it never returned other than getting poorly replaced. Its layout is incredibly unique.
@@Goblin_Hands yeah I kinda liked that stage better too. They might have to nerf the acid a bit as sometimes it would rise too quickly, and stuff. Kinda like how they lowered the water a bit in the DK cabin stage.
@@TheNadroj10 yeah, I don't get why he says Cornaria & Sector Z are the same stage, obviously he doesn't notice the differences, like those of us whom loved Sector Z. The only thing I kinda prefer about Cornaria is the scenery looks great in HD, and the addition of Star Wolf team ships. (But they still fly too high.)
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I actually really liked the Orbital Gate Assault stage (it was probably my favorite new stage from the Wii U version of Smash 4) and was bummed to see it axed in Ultimate.
A lot of these I understand, as a lot of them would basically be duplicates. But at the very least, Pac-Maze and Rainbow Road totally should have been brought back.
I’d say there’s more than minor differences with the cut N64 stages. Sector Z is absolutely massive, and would have worked well with 8 players. And Zebes had a different layout.
Yeah, I actually prefer Zebes and Z to the downgrades we got in Melee. Brinstar is just a generic 3 platform stage, but very small and awkward, it's not even competitive and it being breakable just reminds me of that Kirby stage, making it worse for Matches. The camera in Corneria is often too close in 2 player combat and you can never see the Arwings, it's overall a great stage, but I think Sector Z is at least just as good. It's a bit more forgiving and immersive and great for more players, why not have both??
And Zebes has an incredibly unique layout, it has a decent number of platforms, 4 if you count the elevator, and the bottom hills make camping with projectiles difficult. The acid feels more present and is like the soul of the stage. I do like Norfair too, but I don't really care for Brinstar since every other battlefield stage is better. Brinstar Depths is also one of the most frustrating stages since there are no edges, be I do like Kraid so I'll play Omega/Battlefield versions. Melee has a few great stages, but most are just not fun.
For Jungle Hijinxs, I could've easily seen them make it so that like 30 seconds before the stage morphs, there's suddenly tons of barrel cannons, and all of the barrel cannons in the foreground move to the background so that you can only go from the back to the front, and not the other way around, and made it so that you have like 20 seconds to leave the background before it turns into lava or something (idk I'm not really big into the DKC games), and then everyone will be stuck in the foreground, and the stage can morph.
The biggest problem I see with Vertical Stages is the gimmick is too hamfisted and completely dominates the fight when the fighting is what Smash Bros is supposed to be about. For the Ice Climbers stage the best change I would make would be making the stage move at half speed so even at it's fastest it's still far more manageable. The effect of halving the speed would feel far more drastic in practice since characters with poor air movement would have a far better time. I don't think Vertical scrollers are bad but they always move way faster then they should to be enjoyable in practice. That's why the Mushroomy Kingdom (The desert recreation of SMB) is somewhat fun because the autoscrolling isn't too intense. Honestly scrolling speed should be a game setting >Faster >Normal >Slow >Slower So People can have some control over how these stages are played. I'm sure People out there don't mind the speed but everyone wants something different out of scrolling stages and these options would remedy that
I don't care what anyone says; cutting Pyrosphere was the second-biggest disservice of Ultimate. I want a 9-Ridley Giant Special Versus with Super Mushrooms on, dangit!
If memory serves, Rainbow Road literally reused the map from Mario Kart 7, so it was likely cut as another "it was a quick hack" stage like Poké Floats.
Meanwhile, in the files for Sm4sh Wii U using a modding program, you can find stages labeled as "3Dland" and "XMarioPast". It is safe to say that those are "3D Land" and "Mushroomy Kingdom" respectively. Both of the folders for those stages are blank. As for how the other discoveries came about, data for the electroplankton and brain training icons were found, though implementing them in the game will leave those icons blank. Data for a Rhythm Heaven icon can be found as well. As for how people found out that there was going to be a Dr. Mario stage, there was an unused feature in the soundtest where boss silhouettes were displayed while a track plays, and some data labeled "virus" were among the silhouettes. Looking back on that now, I don't believe that was meant for a Dr. Mario stage, since I vaguely remember working on a mod that translates the Orbital Gate Assault conversations from Japanese, and the Star Fox team refers to the missile as "viruses". Thanks for coming to my Tehd Talk
So you’re tellin me that they’re not even thinking about Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Colors areas? But they put in Lost World? Smh what a waste of talent.
I have another theory regarding why Pokéfloats didn’t come back. And I feel it’s creation was clearly a result from Melee’s short development time. With a stage that actually makes no sense with in Pokémon franchise as a whole, this probably didn’t satisfied Sakurai as Sprout Tower stages was originally in the works but never got the dev time to make it, or it may have been removed out of request from The Pokémon Company as they would allow limited amount of Pokémon content that really lacks in representation of Human Characters, traditional artwork in base game and even no spin-offs mention. I feel it’s like that since Pokefloats is a random stage slapped together, I like the stage today, but back then when playing Melee the first time, I was pretty disappointed that was Pokémon‘s second stage in that game.
Planet Zebes, Icicle Mountain, Mushroom Kingdom (Melee), Mute City (Melee), Poké Floats, PictoChat (PictoChat X?), Rumble Falls, Rainbow Road, Orbital Gate Assault, and Wooly World should've all returned in Ultimate. As for the others... Pyrosphere could've been updated to use Omega Ridley from Prime 3, as that form of Ridley is not reflected in his alts. That way, there would be no confusion or anything... Less confusion. Pac-Maze could've been reworked. Miiverse isn't as necessary, given it being only cosmetic, but they could've used the offline drawings and included it for completeness. Sector Z could've been a ZL variant for Corneria, similar to Boxing Ring's alt form. Speaking for a moment on Poké Floats, part of why they didn't include it could've been that they didn't know how to make the Omega and Battlefield variants... but, like... There are amorphous 'mons like Ditto that could've been used. If they were worried about the vertical scrolling gimmick, they could've just not used Icicle Mountain & Rumble Falls in Classic Mode or Spirit Battles. I can think of some stages they could've done that with that were included as well. :P Jungle Hijinxs... I'm not sure that one could be helped. Even without the Ice Climbers, it could only have 4 players in standard form in Smash 4 Wii U. Given the change to having all stages available for 8-player smash... Yeah, I dunno. I think it was just too difficult to implement. This one gets a pass from me. Understandable disclusion. Beyond that, I think it would've been cool to choose variants of stages. One state of a transforming/touring stages, specific versions of random variant stages, say, Flat Zone and Flat Zone 2 as variants for Flat Zone X, yadda yadda yadda. Maybe even past versions of Final Destination and Battlefield/Duel Zone. Also, it's probably just me, but I would've loved to have had some of the singleplayer-exclusive stages across the series be available. Meta Crystal, Figure Get, the Trophy Tussle stages, the ambush point in Melee's Adventure Mode's Mushroom Kingdom and the same for the six in the Underground Maze (probably as random/hold-button variants of a single stage), and maybe even parts of the final boss level of the World of Light as a couple of unlockable stages with variants. What about Explain from the tutorial video in Smash 64?
So this video made me realize something about smash. Every game since Melee has had some form of mini leak before Nintendo actually mentions them but this REALLY started with GoodFeel's games Brawl had the theme of stonecarving city from Wario land Shake it ( the shake dimension) be his victory theme Smash 4 had Yoshi's woolly world as a stage And ultimate had the Yoshi's crafted world skin which just came off cursed tbh
one option for jungle hijynx would be to have the background disapear first, and the bottom blast zone is instead either swapepd with a line of barrels to shoot you to the forground or simply teleport you so falling off the bottom of the background had you falling from the sky in the foreground the minecraft one would also be easier to impliment if instead of being imported from minecraft it was simply made a varient for stage builder and be built in game
One possible solution for making Jungle Hijinx work with Stage Morph would be to delay the morph and have all background players teleported into a unique barrel that launches them all to the foreground at the same time, then have the game finally run the stage morph procedure when everyone's back on the same plane. One might think that delaying the stage morph might be too much to ask, but the game actually already pauses the stage morph if someone uses their Final Smash while a morph is happening, so the mechanic does exist. If the programmers treat the appearance of that unique barrel I described like it's a Final Smash, I don't see why this wouldn't work, at least conceptually.
I don't know if I'd say Stage Morph was the reasoning for vertical stages getting cut. Stage Morph freezes stages as it morphs even including horizontal scrollers like Mushroomy Kingdom, so it's not like the players have to worry about the platforming while traversing to the stage being morphed into. The stage being morphed into also always starts off at its beginning, even if it's the 2nd time in a match morphing into that stage, so players would be eased into the scrolling stage's chaos like they'd always be. And even if they're led into an unflattering part of the moving stage because they started on Great Cave Offensive or something, can't you also say the same about being hoisted into the far left side of horizontal scrolling stages that are already stage morphable in Ultimate? IDK if there's other examples like that where it really just depends on the player's own capabilities or so. Also lol at "They wouldn't exclude a stage like 3D Land because it wasn't on Switch, Smash is about Nintendo's history!" "PictoChat and Orbital Gate Assault weren't relevant for the Switch so that could be why they were scrapped."
Orbital Gate Assault was literally my favorite mobile stage, as it was based on my favorite childhood game & Nintendo franchise And yes, it was beautiful
Based on Sakurai's description of the Archanea stage in Melee, it's spiritual successor is Castle Siege, as Archanea was planned to transition between different areas in a castle under siege. The only thing seemingly missing is that Archanea was to have stage hazards in the form of mages and dragons.
What a strange way to interpret FE stages, not you, I mean Sakurai. Archanea is a continent. Way to big to represent as just one castle. He should've called it Kingdom of Altea as that's Marth's specific kingdom. Roy also should've gotten his own stage in either the Shrine of Seals, Tower of the Saint, Dragon Temple or the Kingdom of Pherae.
I don't think Jungle Hijinx was cut because of stage morph, it speculate it's because programming the two layers might've been some sort of hell that the dev team had no time to go through a second time.
The thing with Robin's Final Smash still featuring Chrom even though Chrom is now playable basically brings up a question; what else could Robin's Final Smash be that still brings up a very important part of Fire Emblem Awakening and its tactics with a character that is still just as iconic a partner for Robin without including Chrom or Lucina? There is also the fact that alternate timelines is a big part of Awakening's story. Piranha Plants attacking Piranha Plant, well, there are many different Piranha Plants of many different species out there, so like a non-legendary mirror match in Pokemon like using your Rattata against a wild Rattata or a CPU trainer's Rattata, it's not that big a deal. Characters using their own Spirits, that's a gameplay thing and not canon. If you count that as canon, then you should say that they shouldn't have allowed there to be any more than one of each spirit in the game, as you can get multiples of each Spirit. However, not counting mirror matches in Smash, there is only 1 Ridley in the universe. If you wanted to bring up those other examples, you should have kept in mind that since there is only 1 Toon Link or Link in general at a time not counting Smash mirror matches or Link VS TL VS YL, you cannot have Toon Link conducting the train on the Spirit Tracks stage and still have any other Link on the field at the same time, and if I recall, there are no other stages that feature characters in the background who also happen to be playable at all in the series. However, unlike Alphonzo, there is no substitute for Ridley; not even Meta-Ridley as they are the same character, just with Meta-Ridley being cybernetically-enhanced. Who else could they have go through Ridley's animations on Pyrosphere? Or do you expect them to not even have a boss character on Pyrosphere if you're playing as Ridley?
(9:10) One idea is; when a stage morph is about to happen, have the background fall and have multiple barrels available to get to the foreground. If you're still in the background, you'll die.
My fix for Pac maze is when getting a Power pellet all other players glow blue along with the ghost so the one that doesn't glow will be identified easily, Jungle Hijinks could have forced background players forward and as the stage rise while morphing they are in the relative position where they were in
I kinda always thought to myself that Poké Floats was cut because they didnt know how to implement the battlefield and final destination versions of it. I guess they could make it be some generic cloud platform with pokemon floating in the background. Though the idea of having the platform be made out of a giant pokemon is hilarious
Rainbow road was an edited import of the actual track from Mario kart 7 so they’d basically be making a new stage. As for metal cavern I don’t know why it’s never been done, while they would have to do that over entirely that’s a simple stage, the only real detail would be if they make a crazy background.
for Pac maze they coulda just made the ghosts have your players color outline it when you get the pellet; so even if your only sharing one screen between multiple people- everyone would be able to see which character the ghosts are actually vulnerable to or not.
The stages I want to see come back the most are Orbital Gate assault & poke floats. I miss playing on them to the point where there were the stages I played on the most in Melee & Sm4sh.
No one talks about how sakurai planned making an editor for Minecraft to port to switch?Yo, my switch would be going "brrruuuwwwhhhhhhhh" loudly, but that'd be sick yo!
For the Donkey Kong background gimmick, just have the players in the background just immediately shift to the foreground during the transition, or something.
for the dk stage and background, during stage morph they can instantly he pushed to the foreground even mid-air. For the vertical stages, the stage just has to stop moving and then stage morph happens.

The idea might have been axed relatively early. Melee lacked Gen 2 Pokémon music despite intending to bring in Sprout Tower.
@@elijahpadilla5083 There was a Gen 2 battle medley in Melee though. Plus Melee stages only had two songs at most, unlike Smash 4 which gives stages several songs, with many being taken directly from their original source.
People still think that?
I wish that the 3ds pacman stage was in ultimate
Same :(
It honestly kinda baffles me why they chose to bring back PAC-LAND and not Pac-Maze when Pac-Maze is in quite a few ways the better stage
Pac-Land is hella fun tho
PAC-LAND is the inspiration of Super Mario Bros. It is VERY important to Nintendo history

Very interesting! Glad you enjoyed the video :)

@The Masondwich I wonder that myself.
Imagine you wanted to watch a video about smash bros stages but Siiroth says “but first let’s talk about today’s sponsor Raid Shadow Legends”
Idk if I should trust someone who probably hasn't programmed anything

For the pacman stage's ghosts, they can change to the player's color rather then just blue. For example, if the red player ate the power pellet, then the ghosts would turn red
Or if they don't want to change their iconic blue color, they could add a colored outline just like during team battles
Perhaps as an homage to Pac-Man's color the player with the pellet would have a bright yellow silhouette, like how 3D Land turns players gold after getting 100 coins.
We lost the best Pac-Man, Mario Kart,Yoshi, DK, Metroid and Pokémon stages.
Weren't they making huge graphical overhauls for all the 3DS stages anyway?
Well didn't they do the same with Mario Circuit Mario Kart 8?
I think that Yoshi's Woolly World stage just doesn't have enough room for 8 players to reasonable fight once it lifts off into the air.
It's smash ultimate, ULTIMATE, everything should be there, good or bad, there's always someone that like it
9:18 they should put the background full of barrels that shoot you back to the foreground and THEN shift the stage.

Careful, He’s A Hero
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I actually really liked the Orbital Gate Assault stage (it was probably my favorite new stage from the Wii U version of Smash 4) and was bummed to see it axed in Ultimate.
Yeah, I'm surprised there are people that don't like it but like Rainbow Cruise and Pokefloats. It's a really cool stage.
Well I think they were cut because they're too similar to Corneria and Brinstar.
Arena Ferox is an underrared stage imo, its basically a Fire Emblem version of Pokemon Stadium
I got a little sad that Pac-Man maze was rejected, I felt like the latter better represented Pac-Man.
I just want pac man from 3ds
Honestly scrolling speed should be a game setting
>Faster
>Normal
>Slow
>Slower
So People can have some control over how these stages are played. I'm sure People out there don't mind the speed but everyone wants something different out of scrolling stages and these options would remedy that
Slight correction: I meant scrolling stages when I say "vertical stages" or "vertical scrollers." Oops 😬💦
Honestly, I LOVED the orbital gate assault and the wooly world stages. Wish they were brought back!
A solution is to have to so that certain stages get locked out of stage morph, so if you try to choose it nothing will happen and it won't select
Imagine being able to switch final destination and battlefield between the older smash versions
Fun Fact. If you have assist trophies turned on Knuckles won't appear in assist trophy form on Green Hill Zone. Same goes for the Moon on Great Bay.
Jungle Hijinxs...
Every game since Melee has had some form of mini leak before Nintendo actually mentions them but this REALLY started with GoodFeel's games
Brawl had the theme of stonecarving city from Wario land Shake it ( the shake dimension) be his victory theme
Smash 4 had Yoshi's woolly world as a stage
And ultimate had the Yoshi's crafted world skin which just came off cursed tbh
one option for jungle hijynx would be to have the background disapear first, and the bottom blast zone is instead either swapepd with a line of barrels to shoot you to the forground or simply teleport you so falling off the bottom of the background had you falling from the sky in the foreground
the minecraft one would also be easier to impliment if instead of being imported from minecraft it was simply made a varient for stage builder and be built in game
Also Lylat, Shadow Mosses Island and Palutena's Temple delay stage morph if the special taunts are activated
9:16 Simple: you advert that the background is gonna disappear, forcing EVERYONE to be on the foreground and THEN the stage morphs
After the character dlc ends I really hope that they do a stage update to add stages that didn’t made the cut first in the first place
13:53 why does the peach player's stock icons show kirby??
Also lol at

Orbital Gate Assault was literally my favorite mobile stage, as it was based on my favorite childhood game & Nintendo franchise
And yes, it was beautiful
Idk if you were aware but, the creator of F Zero and Star Fox no longer work Nintendo. R.I.P to both of those series. 😔
A Hazy Maze Cave stage that warps u to different parts of the stage would be amazing 🔥

I think Pac Maze not being in is a crime. I'm sure you could alter the gimmick somehow, but like, it's literally the origin of Pac-Man, you know?
(9:10) One idea is; when a stage morph is about to happen, have the background fall and have multiple barrels available to get to the foreground. If you're still in the background, you'll die.

My fix for Pac maze is when getting a Power pellet all other players glow blue along with the ghost so the one that doesn't glow will be identified easily, Jungle Hijinks could have forced background players forward and as the stage rise while morphing they are in the relative position where they were in
Man, all I want is a Wario Land stage. Why are the Wario platformers such a foreign concept to Smash?

Pokefloats would have provided so much chaotic fun in 8 player Smash

For the Donkey Kong background gimmick, just have the players in the background just immediately shift to the foreground during the transition, or something.
5:22 another option is to have some stages not be able to be selected for stage morph
Am I the only one that prefers sector Z over Corneria?
for the dk stage and background, during stage morph they can instantly he pushed to the foreground even mid-air. For the vertical stages, the stage just has to stop moving and then stage morph happens.
Rainbow Cruise is also a vertical Scroller. Why wasnt this cut?
Hopefully these stages make a comeback with a "every stage is here", since in retrospective, these could be the "new" stages for the next base game
You didn't cover Mushroomy Kingdom 1-2. Also, the Game Boy stage is a Kirby's Dream Land stage. There are no other games represented in it.
All the vertical moving stages could be put back in if they just make it impossible to use stage morph on them or something
