how did you spray the pulley with the belt on there ?

We taped off everything, except for the very edge of the belt where it sat in the pulley. We could have taped that off too, but it is not necessary. The paint that gets on a few inches of just the edge of the belt (the top of the belt was taped off) is easy to remove, and not really noticeable if you don't take the 5 minutes to clean it off.
