- Slovenia's world-class climbers, Janja Garnbret and Domen Skofic, took the climb of their lives as they ascended the highest chimney in Europe, at 360 metres tall.
The tower at the Trbovlje Power Station Slovenia stands as the highest chimney in Europe but, from 2014, it has not been operational.
The climb was not for the faint-hearted and two experienced heads completed the mission - Garnbret, who won three out of four disciplines at the IFSC Climbing World Championships in 2019 taking gold in bouldering, lead, and combined, and Skofic, who won the Lead Climbing World Cup in 2016.
There were 13 pitches to tackle in all - the most challenging of which came at pitch 10, 257 metres above the ground and graded at 8b+.
On their second attempt, Garnbret and Skofic competed all 13 pitches in seven hours and 32 minutes.

What's the point of wearing helmet bro
If/when you lose your grip you are in a freefall for a short distance and after that you start swinging from the spot where you last attached your rope. You can potentially hit your head pretty bad on the wall while you're swinging wildly. There is virtually no sensible excuse to climb without helmet.
