Without reading all your comments on this, I will go ahead and say it again. Metallica gave them 10 days to do what they wanted to do before it went on their blacklist album. Thank you for sticking with these amazing young ladies. They deserve all the recognition we can give them.

That white Gibson Explorer was given to Dany onstage mid-show by Lzzy Hale!
And those "Whoah" tracks are from Alyssa Cara who partnered with them on this for the Blacklist project.

You have stumbled into a real gem on this one. Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning (the two groups share international management agents) and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced this entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video is also worth checking out.
I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Dany very sweetly puts you to bed, then rouses the troops, shares a little prayer, the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one.
Yeah, Pau's kit in this show sounds absolutely huge. Part is gear, part is mix, but much is player. She has said that that O-zone cymbal is her favorite on the kit.
I never knew I needed Sandman to be played in half-time before hearing this version. Talk about taking a classic and having the huevos to turn it backwards and make it a completely new song.

You have that backwards. Metallica contacted THE WARNING. because they loved their cover from years ago. They contacted Alissia Cara then they collaborated. Their on videos by both sides that prove this. METALLICA GAVE THE WARNING 10 DAYS AND TOLD THEM TO MAKE IT THEIR OWN.
And this was done while Alessia was in Canada and TW were in Mexico. They had never met in person at the time.
Really loved your reaction it was similar to my first time seeing this cover. The harmonies are so beautiful and were what caught my attention most and leaving the iconic riff until the end was genius on their part. Dany's growl was very cool too. TW have so many great songs but as far as covers go when the were much younger they did Atlas Rise at the Whiskey a GoGo and they killed it. Definitely worth a look there's an overhead camera setup over the drums which is awesome.

They took a rock anthem and made it a brilliantly dark and hauntingly beautiful masterpiece…and did it in a week. Great reaction m. Yes, those harmonies are just incredible.

I'm an old guy, I've seen The Beatles and The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Cream, the Stones and many others of the heyday of guitar rock bands, and these girls put on a better show, have a bigger sound, and on top of their perfect performances, write one great song after another.
Rush was without doubt a more accomplished band instrumentally, but people don't go around humming Rush songs to themselves.
You're looking at the future of rock and roll, which is so bright, we're gonna need shades.

This was rearranged by The Warning along with Canadian singer Alessia Cara. They always credit her when they introduce this song live, and that's her vocal track you hear on the "ooh ooh ooh ahh" fills.

Great and honest reaction!! These girls have this effect on you time after time, I suggest you continue on the path of this concert at Teatro Metropolitan, My suggestion is “Survive” or “Disciple” but you can pick any song they are all great.

My two cents after seeing the ones already on the channel: I'd go for Evolve. The official video is awesome, but the live performance at MTV's VMAs is out of this world. The song starts with a straight up fast rock and ends... phew, how it ends.

DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment!
Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice.
in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹
