Morphing Sequences! A hallmark of the franchise, these visual transformations have evolved from the iconic Mighty Morphin' days to the cutting-edge stylings of Cosmic Fury. Today, we immerse ourselves in the captivating world of Ranger transformations, exploring the intricate tapestry of morphin' moments that have defined generations of fans. These sequences capture the essence of each Ranger's unique powers and even personalites. From the humble origins of Mighty Morphin into action to the high tech CGI sequences of Cosmic Fury, each iteration holds its unique allure and significance, now I say we get into some Morphin Madness.

Morphing scenes are a fundamental part of Power Rangers. Power Rangers isnt complete without Henshin- Morphs
I have gained recognition by Este, great day
Tokusatsu in general*
And the enemies are willing to wait to Finished the morphing
@@tokublwhovianwell yes but also no, tokusatsu now maybe but in the beginning not really
@@silhouetteghost It's just a flash, they wait 0 seconds.
I always loved Trent’s special “new guy morph” in Dino Thunder, which made it look like he was at the center of an ice storm.
The best one. ”White Ranger Dino Power”
I love the Mystic Force morph sequence, but what really sets it apart is their morph call. There's just something special about the rangers calling upon Rita Repulsa herself every time they morph, as she is the Magical Source. This perfectly depicts Rita's huge character development from being the Power Rangers' main adversary to becoming the source of their power. It's a very simple detail and quite easy to miss, but definitely has years worth of backstories behind it.
Bro, now i just realized that, THAT'S SOO COOL!
The morphing sequences are the entire reason I watch the Power Rangers. It's like everything else is supplemental to the show. Honestly, transformation sequences interest me the most in any superhero show where they appear.
fr tho they’re so cool
Disney Era's Morphing sequence is something else. My favorite has to be Jungle Fury
Same here man. My top 3 would be:
1. Jungle Fury
2. Dino Thunder
3. SPD
I'll be honest, I think Overdrive's Morph Sequences are pretty cool. You roll the wheel, it ejects a projection of the rangers' suits and other equipment, then zip and done! Plus, I love the music involved with it too. It's very heroic. Aside from OO, I also like Time Force, Jungle Fury, Ninja Storm and RPM'S.
i love the spinny morpher
I still love Dai Shi/Jarrod's morph. No tools, no explosions needed. His energy/animal spirit ALONE is what morphed him. Such raw power, if only he had been a 6th ranger.
fr bro got that lion in him
Ziggy asking about the explosion was a massive 4th wall break (But then again in the episode “…And Action” the whole episode was another 4th wall break). And you forgot about Tyzonn’s morphing sequence for Operation Overdrive. But hands down the Disney era did have the best morphs.
I mean the morphine sequences are quite literally the reason why so many people get into power rangers and not only that it's the literally main selling point. I mean is Zeke has told us anything it's that they need explosions
So your saying Power Rangers needs to be directed by Michael Bay?
I think the Disney Era morph sequences were the best. They had such an attention grabbing nature to them that made me excited for each season to see how new and different they are.
Not only does the disney era have the best morph sequences, the morph themes also rock! Too bad they never released them as soundtracks.
O yeah. When neo-saban create a song they re-use go go Power rangers
It's Morphin Time, E-Squad.
E SQUAD MAKIN IT OUT OF THE COMMAND CENTER WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
11:13 MYSTIC FORCE HAD PEAK TRANSFORMATIONS! That fly up into the air with their mystic spirit is so epic‼️
I stumbled across your channel when the power rangers in the 2010s video pooped up on my feed, and i want to thank you for getting me back into power rangers.
Love this content! This is what you do to celebrate the franchise after over 30 years!
this was easily the best vid u dropped this year! 🔥🔥
tyyyyy♥️♥️
What's up Este? Nice video man!
Hey, thanks!
Regarding the "cockpit modes," that all goes back to Samurai and whether or not it would be adapted. Bandai was apparently going to create a toy line for Samurai, regardless of whether or not there was a show to go along with it or not. More specifically, Bandai was creating the Mega Mode as a powered-up version for the toys. Saban was already planning on re-filming the cockpit scenes for Samurai, so they went ahead and used the Mega Mode for the cockpit scenes.
The morphing sequences have always been CGI. If they don't seem HD now it's cos, back then, that was the standard for HD.
Technically, the first few were hand drawn or traced over the actors. But otherwise, you're absolutely right.
There have been some cool morphing sequences over the years.
Awesome video 👍 Este thanks for the ranger update and I like sentai ranger sequence but I like the super sentai Magirangers sequence esquad
haha you were really cooking with the green screen this video
awesome collab video 🙌
Thank you 😋
I don't know. I've watched since MMPR and even as a kid I thought it was just filler. Like with stock footage of Sailor Moon transforming or attacking, it was there to pad the run time for episodes. It was really cool the first few times but I'm glad they introduced insta-morphs as Este called them in the later seasons.
10:18 Bruh how could you forget my favorite PR. 😢
idk man
Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury morphs do not have constellations in them, it's rather a manifestation of the grid!
Disney era morphs were for sure elite, but I feel like Time Force and Lightspeed especially still hold up
The Dino Fury sequence has a small detail that I think is worth mentioning: when the Rangers are being bathed by the Morphing Grid, you can see that both Red and Gold have a different, more confident expression and posture. It's like they are more used to that than the others, who seem more surprised and not fully understanding what's going on. This is a cool nod to the fact that Zayto and Aiyon have been doing this for far longer than the rest.
The morphing sequences are one of the many reasons why I love the Power Rangers franchise to this day aside from the combat choreography done. Even with shows such as VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs, there is no doubt that their morphing sequences are just as worth watching as their Power Rangers counterparts.
Disney Era Morphing Is Awesome
I like the idea that the morph sequences are like little glimpses into the Grid, or the capital-P Power, or whatever you call it.
10:38 YES! THE DROP DOWN FROM THE SHADOW RANGER IS SO FREAKIN SICK🔥
1:21 as soon as he said rock music and I saw them on the screen immediately it started playing in my head 😭😭😭
The bleep at beginning is legendary.
It’s funny that you superimpose yourself onto that weird blanket you used to use as a backdrop. It’s strangely nostalgic and wholesome. Staying true to your roots.
Instamorphs don’t get enough praise
they’re the coolest
When I was a kid, I saw a gif of Will rolling his Morpher's wheel on Kamdor's staff(?) and insta morphing, and that alone convinced me that Operation Overdrive MUST be peak. ):
22:46 it was originally done in samurai cause Saban thought the original scenes were just too Japanese. Ironic considering one of samurai’s script editors was literally a translator
should also add that samurai red used their cockpit mode outside their zord in the last episode, definitely not enough though
I'd Say That The Ninja Steel Morph Sequence is Still My Favorite, Especially on How Some of The Sequence Uses The Go Go' Power Rangers Theme in it...
Hey E squad I love your videos ❤
Why did you leave out a lot of the 6th/extra ranger morphs, which are usually, but not always, somewhat different from the core team?
It’s Morphin Time! E-Squad! Power Up!
I love Sailor Moon so the morphs in sentai and PR always itched my brain so good. When we get villains who can "transform" later, I love that too!
20:22 the 2 X’es form the suit then come back to form the helmet
I hope you do a video like this on the art and importance of Zord sequence
by season 3 i was questioning why enemies just stand around while they are doing jumps and flips
and then they showed us morphing from outside
and it was exactly instant as i expected
Shinkenger's cockpit was apparently to 'Eastern' or something, Megaforce and Super weren't changed, Kyoryuger had the name of the gattai in the background (Kyoryuzin, Plezu-Oh) and Dini Charge would eventually feature rangers who never went into the Mecha, example, Ramirez never went inside Plezu-oh, but all of the rangers where in the pleisio zord in edge of extinction.
I remember watching a video from a livestream where the chat was voting on which morph sequence was better; Super Sentai or Power Rangers, and the chat was basically voting SS every time (yes, even the Disney era). I still think about that video and how biased the chat was and it genuinely grinds my gears a bit. Yes, the stories in Super Sentai are (usually) better than their American counterparts, but cmon… *GEKIRANGER BEING BETTER THAN JUNGLE FURY?!?!* You’re just TRYING to start a fight!🤦♂️
Use of Power Rangers: Super Legends music was pretty cool
Been In the E squad for a while. First time commenting
glad to see u !
Mystic Force morphing sequence is likely similar to Magiranger. What I can also say about the poses in the Samurai morph is similar also to the roll call of Shinkenger
I love the Timeranger henshin... should've been implemented more in Time Force. The Matrix bullet-time references, the poses each member had being different like with their arms out like hands on a clock.
That 1995 movie 🍿🎥 was and is soooo awesome 💯 also the SPD shadow changing never made sense you know cuz his face was a freaking dog's face in a human's helmet 🪖 😂
They are so good
Keep it up man
i agree wholeheartedly about rpm, they made it alot better
dopest morphing sequence to me for power rangers is jungle fury
for sentai would be Ryusoulger, and thats the most majestic disney power ranger-like sequence
though i should add, the realtime transformation for Ninninger is quite cool
I always loved Lightspeed Rescue Morphing Sequence especially the Titanium Ranger.
But overall in terms of look and visual Dino Thunder had the best
What's up @Este
Bro I was also thinking to make smilliar video. 😅😂
I was hoping you also mention the distinct six ranger morphs or lack thereof of them since Neo-Saban
Too bad we never got a jungle master purple ranger.
Right that felt like a huge letdown
Great vid
IT'S A SURPRISE COLLAB!!!
Jungle fury will always be my favorite morph sequence
MY DISTANT BROTHER ESTE DROPS ANOTHER BANGER🔥
I could never work out the exact arm movements of the lightspeed rescue morph even slowing it down on UA-cam to the slowest speed it’s still ridiculously fast. Could you maybe do a video and break it down Este?
The Sequences in the Sentais are pretty good too
My first E-squad comment 🎉
I really liked Adam's Once A Ranger sequence, I kinda wish they kept it with future MMPR morphs
So a lot of people don’t realize the visual for Jason in forever red was the same the voice was updated and was the voice in the lightning collection morpher
Disney era are the best. Besides that, samurai would be perfect if they didn’t feature the ninja mask.
I like the simple but epic morphs not to simple not to dramatic like the lightspeed
Perhaps you could make an addendum to this video focusing on Sixth Ranger morphs? I notice that that was about the only thing you two didn't cover.
Not sure if you were paying attention during the smf morph but the 2 X’s actually comeback and form the helmet
I personally like the dino fury morphs for representation wise because those "stars" is actually the morphine grid energy "merging" with the rangers which is pretty interesting to see as we don't see clearly how the person connects to the morphin grid
It’s Morphin time
My favorite morphs out of all of them are the Crimson and Navy Thunder Rangers from Ninja Storm! Sucks that neither of them have appeared since the last team up episode. The way it was a fundamentally different morph really let them stand on their own
Morph into the ESQUAD!!!!!!!
If I ever wanted to hear someone talk about morphin sequences for a half hour it would be you este
I had no time for the individual morphin sequences after the first like 10 episodes. After that I was ready for the group/instant morphs. I felt the same about Digivolution.
Until the finale. Then that needed an epic individual morph full of desperation and determination. I really wish that the last one in Countdown to Destruction would have been a full morph and not an explosion morph
cool
It’s morphin’ time E-Squad
Disneys morphing sequences is fire omg
E-squad needs Adam's broken morpher in their collection!
The simpler the better. Mighty Morphin is still the best morphing sequence. It still hypes people more than any of the others and it’s the shortest, simplest morph yet accomplishes everything. The crazy ones that take longer than Sailor Moon and show them flipping around in CGI are nonsensical and extra.
We’ve been shown that from the outside perspective, the morph appears as a brief aura of color that immediately transforms the individual into a ranger.
The best morphing sequences are still Mighty Morphin, Zeo Gold Ranger, Turbo 2.0, in Space, Lost Galaxy, and Ninja Storm.
Wild Force, Mystic Force, and Mega Force would be better if trimmed.
New in the E-Squad as well as new in the Power Rangers community at 33 yo lesgoooooooo
I have a question if they decided to make a power rangers spa season which Sentai would they adapt for it I think It would be lupinranger vs patranger what do you think
morphing sequence really is an important part of PR. i really like when PR make original morphing sequence that more unique and sometimes better than the Sentai counterpart. my favorite is Lightspeed Rescue with the colored shield became the ranger costume. but sometimes not all morphing sequence is good for me, especially the Neo Saban and Hasbro era. i don't know why but starting from Dino Charge to Cosmic Fury, i think they use a CGI helmet rather than the real helmet on morphing sequence. it's really weird and jarring seeing them, especially when the helmet look too big in comparison to the neck and body of the actor. i think the only decent one is Ninja Steel because the morphing sequence and the helmet have a darker lighting, hiding the weird CGI helmet a bit. but no matter what, morphing sequence is an important thing for superhero show
Also I know that this is just power rangers channel but RIP Akira toriyama
yoooo E-squad collab with da kingggggg
Henshin, E-Squad Changer!
Other than the holograms of some form the Disney morphs were a whole different level of creativity and production to what came before and after. Samurai was at least distinct from Shinkenger's henshin. MegaForce to Dino Charge were just variations of the Sentai henshin, Ninja Steel took "ninja spin" too literally, Beast Morphers is just them standing but somehow visually more dynamic than the ninja season and the Fury seasons brought back the action in the morph.
I would have loved if they did Tommy's white ranger sequence with the style of zeo.
I didn't like how you forgot the Time Force Red Ranger Wesly collins and the Quantum Ranger Eric Myers Battlizers the Red Battle warrior for the Red Ranger and the Quantum Magabattle Aromer for the Quantum Ranger two of the bests ones ever. E Squad
6:51 XD
Where's the music from? I can't quite remember
Intro music
As much as it is trendy to hate on Mystic Force their morph and costume designs are really good
You AINT slick with the power a herd 20th anniversary music from the ds game
😉 #esquad
5:20 - Fun fact: That particular morph sequence was actually just the one they used for SunVulcan in Gokaiger except they replaced VulEagle with MMPR Red.
And I'm pretty sure they only replaced Vul Eagle because Disney has partial ownership of Sun Vulcan
@@Chernobog2 Wait, how does Disney partially own Sun Vulcan?
Edit: Never mind, did a quick search. It was the last Super Sentai season to be co-produced by Marvel Comics.
Wow
