Put him in a room full of supermodels and your eyes still fall back on him. Scary stuff.

Elvis needed that money to keep him goin. Sure Parker did him wrong but Elvis took on these tours cause he wasn’t selling records like he had, he did t have any hits for few years in the 70s. Parker is guilty of a lot, but those tours was Elvis pushing for more steady income to fund the jets, Graceland, etc. Exactly why he told Billy smith he couldn’t stop
His lifestyle was expensive as hell

It is shocking to see Elvis’ decline from June, 1968 ( when they taped the 1968 comeback special)to June 1977 when they taped his CBS concert special. I’ve said this before , but I’ll say it again. Elvis in 1977 was the first Elvis Presley impersonator.

this short video doesn't even scratch the surface. Elvis had many discussions with his hairdresser of all people "why me?" he had a shitload of self doubt going on... col. tom parker ran him into the ground with that vegas crap ( elvis actually hated las vegas). a multitude of external and internal factors killed Elvis.

what is self discipline to a normal human being?

    • @G.M.1944
      @G.M.1944 Місяць тому +8

I think it’s more broad and more complex than that. He showed a lot of self-discipline in the professional areas in his life, for all but the last few years of his life, I would say. To be able to perform all those shows, 1100+ in the 1970s alone, to great public acclaim back then, to be able to produce and perform superbly in countless studio recording sessions for 20 years, also took a lot of self-discipline. To manage his large entourage. I think ultimately a lonely, broken heart because of the failing of his marriage and the harsh realities that this confronted him with as he was aging, combined with bad genetic factors and numerous pills for pain, anxiety and sleeping problems, all resulting on too much strain on the heart and arteries, led to his demise. I’m just glad he left the world with great music and performances, that still uplift and comfort people, daily, bless that man.

      Saluti

Not everyone who commits suicide does it immediately and I believe Elvis committed long, slow
suicide. Elvis was no dummy, his mom died young and he knew the eventual end results of what he was doing.

Elvis sadly drifted away from the Lord's ways.
He started out singing in church and his love for Christian music grew.
But his life style was complete opposite of a Godly lifestyle by the end of his life.
Did Elvis get to heaven only God knows but I wish he was living a better life without infidelity when he was married and adultery before he died.
