  • Elvis may have been The King, but that doesn't mean he didn't have some petty rivalries, many of them stemming from his deep personal sense of competition with other famous entertainers. Some of these grudges developed while Elvis was still a young performer, being challenged by the likes of Frank Sinatra and the rest of the old guard. Other enmity developed for people like John Lennon while Elvis was in a slow decline, no longer the innovative force of nature he'd been in his youth. Whatever the case, Elvis' resentment for these men was deeply felt, though he managed to get over it in at least one case - at least on the surface. Here are the celebrities Elvis couldn't stand.

Absolutely Hugh. I agree with you. Everyone like to have an opinion about what Elvis did or didn't do, It just goes to show how Interesting "Elvis" still is. 🤔 Really !! Elvis will Always Be The King & The knockers will TRY and Drag Garbage up about Him to What End?? Is it so important to Try and Sully His Name and Character???? They are Wasting Their Time and Effort. When it's all said and done It Won't Change The Opinion of The MULTITUDE OF FANS THAT "Elvis" STILL HAS.
To me this shows how JEALOUS the muck Rakers Were and Still Are. Especially The So Called "Memphis Marfier" They didn't have Elvis Presley to Prop Them Up or Pay Their Way Anymore!!! So They Turned To Trying To Defame Him. Well it didn't work. The Proof is ALL AROUND.
      TODAY STARTS "The Elvis Festival"
Which is held EVERY YEAR in a Rural Town in NSW AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
Normally it is held in January Marking The Day "Elvis" came into the World. However owing to Covid-19 The Festival Date Had To Change. The Elvis Festival is so Popular Townships are Booked Out Fore Miles Around.
The Elvis Train Brings His Fans to Parkes each Year and The Train is Packed to Bulging with People Who Love Elvis and His Amazing Voice. The Man has left a Legacy for us to Enjoy, Music 🎶 🎵 That can lift Everyone's Spirit and Can "Make The World Go Away" We love his Movies and Will go On Being Entertained By The King for as long as we are on this Earth!! The Love Of Elvis has been handed down to our younger ones and they are Just as Passionate as We Are. ❤ 😍 💖 ❣ 💕 💘 ❤

Elvis was an unique celebrity in every way. Every celebrity who has died over the last 60 years was hardly cold in the ground when there emerged all kinds of horror stories of how they used their celebrity status to abuse young women and men and treat people like dirt. Elvis is now gone 45 years and not one single story of bad behavior by the 'king' has come to light. He was one decent human being who treated the people he met, whether rich or poor with dignity and respect. When someone is as gifted as Elvis was, there is always a price to pay and though he fought bravely as only a true King could, he was eventually defeated by the demons who had haunted him for so long. When it comes to Elvis vs. John Lennon, there aren't many instances when I would agree with Lennon, but I can see where he was coming from when he made this statement. Early Elvis was the man who inspired him to become who he was. Personally, I have always thought that Elvis' best work - BY FAR, was that which he did before he went in the Army. After he came back, he was still Elvis, but he was never again "Elvis" in my mind, and apparently, also in the mind of John Lennon. Having said that, if I had to choose between listening to the music (and being a fan of) either Elvis or the Beatles, give me Elvis - every single time. Long live The King! If celebrities are passionate about politics, then there is no problem with them talking about it and speaking their mind on current world issues. Most rock and roll has roots in politics. It came up from the old African American blues musicians telling how their lives were. Then it transitioned into the 60s when the next gen was protesting the war. Then the 70s when they were protesting government control on drugs. Then in the 80s they were protesting censorship and the Reagan administration. Politics have always made their way into rock and roll from it’s very start, whether it be Little Richard, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, or Judas Priest. They had millions of fans, and were still passionate about politics, and have thousands of fans who don’t even agree with their political stance, but love the music.

I was and still am a big Elvis fan. When the Beatles first started, I thought they were okay singers, but the only one who has a pretty good voice was Paul. the rest were average.. John Lennon seemed to be very full of himself. He said, "Elvis died the day, he went into the army." I think Elvis is still wowing them, and just go to Graceland and see what he means to so many fans. Since he came on the scene in 1956, he has amassed as of 2017, 197 gold, Platinum, multi platinum and diamond certification awards. Also in 2017 the Beatles had 122. Case closed.

I don't think he would've of covered five of their tunes, if he truly didn't at least acknowledge The Beatles. I don't think Elvis cared for John Lennon that much because the man was criticized in the deep south bible belt for saying The Beatles were bigger than Jesus. Because Elvis would not talk bad about anyone publicly while alive, they want to start wars over pure speculation. The Richard Nixon thing was for a badge. He collected them. Later, Elvis met with Jimmy Carter. Elvis was still doing "Something" in concert, and would later do "Little Sister/Get Back" in 1972. Frank Sinatra hated rock n roll, but later softened up on his rants when he realized that he was still successful as an artist. Elvis stayed away from expressing his views on religion and politics, which is why the liberal media likes to attack dead people, who can not even defend themselves. Elvis served in the US Army and chose not to be a draft dodger. They assume Elvis was a Republican, when he really had no interest in any political office.
