@@MsJubjubbirdwell, she’s getting married at Disney world and that’s a $100k wedding right there. So it may not have been too far out if it was something he/his daughter really wanted
"easy sis, it just wasn't the one" I feel like the entourage sometimes forgets that you can, in fact, veto a dress without having to insult it or the bride. This dad understands that.
I think another big reason was that it was not in her size. If he took that back to her, she would have tried to get into it. Then she would have been upset about her body and the appointment would turn negative. If it were just about the money, the dad was willing to spend it, and Randy would have taken it back to her.
Another great dad on the show: A bride’s mother kept making snide comments about every dress she wore, but the father was nothing but kind and supportive to his daughter.
I thought she looked better in the 2nd dress, but I'm glad she was happy with her selection. Her dad is a star for wanting to make his daughter happy at all costs and for correcting his other daughter for her negative comment. Dad is ace! Congratulations to the bride! ❤️
She needed a consultant that really understands plus sized brides and choose not just a dress that "is her size" but a dress to really compliment her figure. You could see the desperation in the family after that first dress. They didn't want their daughter to have to settle on anything that just fit her. If they don't have enough dresses in her size, she needs to go to a store that does.
Kleinfelds need to take lessons from Jo and Al.. they don’t even know how to lace a corset. Plus, their dresses aren’t flattering to the full figured beautiful women.
I love how the dress she chose was so similar to the one her dad chose. You can just tell how much they know each other and love each other. Very sweet.
I see where the sister gets her attitude. The mother is just as bad with some of those comments. As someone also having a Disney themed wedding, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have that Disney magic at your wedding. The dad is great and supportive. This episode must be before the Disney Wedding dress collections cause if I recall, Kleinfeld has some Disney Princess wedding dresses from Allure that fit plus size girls and can be budget friendly. I was able to get Allure’s Belle dress and it was under budget and gorgeous.
All these episodes are around 10 to 12 years old. All one has to do is look at Randy---he's much younger in these than in real life, where he now has naturally gray hair.
If you look closely, the family's matching sweatshirts say that the wedding date was October 29, 2011. But she would've LOVED the Disney wedding dresses they've released since then!
The mom & sister have that toxic “Disney is for kids” mentality that used to be so prevalent. The dad has the perspective of a man long outnumbered by women to say “just because I don’t get it doesn’t mean it’s silly. If it brings her joy I’m on board.”
“I don’t see one imperfection. I don’t feel ugly. It is the most positive I think I’ve felt about my body in a really long time.” That made me want to cry
Why? If she felt that way, why not diet? There are so many programs out there. Weight Watchers, diet meds, etc. Just some exercise would probably do a lot too.
Okay I’m glad Randy showed the dad the reality of the 15 thousand dollar dress but oh my god she would’ve looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress. It was perfect for what she was looking for… Too bad it wasn’t around the price range.

This made me wanna cry. What sweet parents. 3:40
What a gorgeous bride! I thought she looked very pretty in the first dress! I wouldn't have picked that one either, but I thought the comments from the family (specifically the sister) were a bit much. The second one immediately screamed "Belle" to me instead of Cinderella, just like Randy pointed out. She looked beautiful in the third dress and I hope she had an absolutely fantastic wedding! (And ngl, I would also be that plus-size bride trying to look like Cinderella on my wedding day lmao)
It is amazing that someone will spend $15,000 on a dress that will be worn for a day and never again. It’s pretty but not $15,000 pretty. Money that could be used to buy a house. But that’s just my opinion.
I COMPLETELY agree with you. It is absolutely ridiculous. $15k could go towards a house or savings.
@@Im_so_Retro85 people that buy a 15k dress don't need to save for a house if it's not in the 10+ millions type of house maybe
Beautiful bride with such a sweet and loving dad🥰🥰🌝
It’s so interesting to me to learn what a “Cinderella dress” is to other people.
Love seeing Disney brides! I’m a Disney bride and knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to be a Disney Bride in a big sparkly gown✨✨ October 2023 can’t come soon enough!
She would have looked great in a slightly blue toned white dress too, just like Cinderella, and the dad 🥺 so sweet
There is a designer that did a Disney collection once upon a time, I can’t remember the name but it was a gorgeous collection.
