Thank you for this great video and the tips.
My Total gym has started to creak more and more lately. Does anyone know how this can be resolved?

You’re welcome! What part is creaking? Can you tell where it is coming from?

      @@DavidsTotalFitness Dear David,
I just posted an answer but I see it hasn't been posted. It creaks at the bottom near the hinge (headboard).
But I have a great update. I just spent an hour, as you showed in the video, cleaning the Total Gym and tightening all the nuts and screws.
When I did the exercises at the Total Gym, the creaking disappeared.
Many thanks for your help and video! I immediately became a subscriber to your channel ☺

David, great video! I use a water and vinegar solution on my glideboard, and I do all of the above. I replaced my cables last year and I’m keeping an eye on my wheels. Thanks for this great video!

Thanks for the tips. My TG guide rails are due for a cleaning to make the wheels work smoother. Looking forward to seeing your new videos in 2023!

Hi David, when you have a chance could you do a video on how to replace the rollers on TG Fit? Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion. It's a great idea for a video. It may be a bit before I can put something together.

Why can’t you use silicone spray? Just curious.

    • @DavidsTotalFitness
      @DavidsTotalFitness  Рік тому +2

It it gets on the surface of the wheels or the rails, it may cause the wheels to slide across the rails rather than roll. 👍

Also, I've noticed when I use silicone spray on the rails of my sliding glass doors, every single piece of dust ever in the universe sticks to it lol

Hi David, really appreciate all the work you are putting in lately for the Total Gym videos I find them very helpful. I do have a question about maintenance. I have some scratches and light bumps on my rails and I will send them down with some fine sandpaper but what would you recommend to recoat my rails as I hate seeing where the scratch marks were

    • @DavidsTotalFitness

Hi, Tim - Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! I know they can be annoying to see, but I wouldn't worry too much about scratches unless they are raised - raised bumps/scratches could damage the wheels over time. I sanded down some bumps on my rails and then wiped them down with glass cleaner and they were hardly noticeable. I haven't tried this, but you could try applying a tiny, tiny bit of car wax to seal and protect the area that was sanded. This is suggested by Huck who also sells replacement wheels. (I'm sure you have heard them mentioned in the FB Addicts group.🙂) If they are still a problem, I would contact customer service to see what they would recommend for covering/hiding scratches. Hope that helps!

@@DavidsTotalFitness Thanks David, i sanded it carefully and while i can still see it, it isn't raised and wont' damage the rollers. I did a full cleaning and i was surprised the rollers were still in good shape. Thanks again
