TY Jodai! Am a 69 yr old retired RN. Purchased the Total Gym several months ago. Lack of time & lots of questioning my abilities kept me from learning how to use. Upon arising this morning I told myself the stock, cats, & dogs could wait. My body is deteriorating daily & I needed to put myself first. Found your video & will start by getting to know the wing attachment & it’s use. My core is very weak, & so I feel that this is a great start.
Thank you! I have had my total gym for over 20 years and hardly used it. I've dusted it off and set it up in my living room. I really appreciate your video; it will help me get a good start.
I wanna get the barbell attachment. I have the apex G5, it came with some great attachments. What I love about the total gym everyone in my house can use it and find which setting best suits them. Good video!
don't use the wing attachment for shoulder press. your wrists will regret it, unless its the straight non-curved pull-up bar. if not, just invest in some press-up bars to add to this. you'll be glad you did.
That is what I know. what model type do I select on the site. They're using it in the video so this attachment can fit, there giving me the run around though.
Great video. However this is not the same equipment I have. Mine is an older model, at least 12 years old; a Total Gym 1100. Came to me second hand in near perfect condition. On my attachment the top bars are straight and only 5 inches apart from the bottom bar with the bigger foam rolls, and with the padding on the top bars, they are only about 4 inches apart; I am a small woman and I can't get my size 7 1/2 AAA feet between the bars to do sit-ups... I am completely mystified as to how anyone larger would be able to use it that way. Perhaps this bar was not made for sit-ups? Funny that the Total Gym 1100 exercise book that it came with shows the "wing attachment" you are using (called the Multi Function Attachment in the book) for exercises like squats, toe raises, and leg pulls, but the pics of the pull up and front press seem to show a little bitty single bar with no padding that looks like it was scavenged from some toddler's tricycle... No sign in the book of the attachment I have, though I have seen this attachment on Total Gym 1100 pics on the net. I are confused. Guess I must do more research...
It's just loose terminology. All muscles contract which is a pulling movement. when your triceps contract they are pulling your forearm down. Pushing is actuality an illusion. So, yes....pull ups do indeed work the triceps. She is 1000000% correct. When you think you are doing shoulder presses, the shoulder and the triceps are actually pulling to move the arms overhead.
She showed exercises. That is what she talked about. She did not say anything about a specific exercise fixing any issues or problems so I think you do not know what you are talking about.
How so? I've been using free weights for several years, but purchased a Total Gym Fit (same model in this video) due to space constraints. The info she provides in this video is spot on. You may not have a clue, but she certainly does.

Can you do squats on this attachment?
Good informative video!
This exercise bike was delivered early and it was a breeze to assemble. This model is an awesome product.

Love this! I’m tiny short and hated using the hamstring curl, love this!
glad they redesigned these. Those will kill your hands.
Had to watch this more than one time cause I kept getting distracted
Cute feet
WOW! this is awesome information!
Do you attach this the same way even on the total gym x force???
👍
Do I need the wing attachment to do leg curls? Is there any other movements on the total gym to accomplish the same results?
Leg curls on stomach if comfortable doing that.
@@briand5047 Thank you.
I thought the 1p ring attachment did not fit the Total Gym Fit
This video does show a one piece attachment but the web site states it does not fit the Fit Model ?
It does fit. The website lies. You need to get one for the CLS, 2000…etc
I have total gym FIT model, can I use this type wing attachment into my machine? It looks you have the same model as mine.

Yes she’s very much gorgeous. Thanks for helping me out I’ll use that on the 2 total gym xls’s that I just bought : ) lol
Beautiful lady, but since when does any kind of a pulling movement work the triceps?(2:30) That's not physically possible.

She’s hot, she can get away with it.
