One of those world champ long driver with 150+ swing speed took a ladies 45g shaft. He showed a 153mph swing speed with a 200+ mph ball speed right down the middle. With a Ladys shaft. As he said... should it work?? No! Does it work?? You tell him.
    Edit: with range balls 😂😂😂

I could tell from your swing you shouldn’t of been no where near an X flex I’m not surprised by your results

Aghh - but I do use an x-flex in my driver. And I like it and it goes far but with control. 😃

Good question! And "feel" is important. If you can, try some regular shafts via a golf shop or even some friends and see which one you like best. Generally a regular shaft will be slightly heaver. What kind of (and weight) of iron or wood shafts have you got right now? Are they regular?

This is really nonsense. There is NO industry standard for flexes---they are not actual, real measurements unlike loft or lie which are numbers, just letters which could and indeed can mean anything at all. Even with the same manufacturer an "R" shaft for example can vary considerably.

Exactly! I tend to use torque to judge a shaft's stiffness - which is a number. Not sure this is the best way though as low spin shafts and low trajectory shafts also make a difference.

Poor information communication. When he tells of the location of each ball, he tells us in meters the distance from the green but not the distance from the tee! So we don’t know what kind of distance he gets from the tee, only that the X-Stiff is 3 meters shorter than the other shafts. We know it’s a short par four of what yardage or meters? Lets assume it’s a 360 yard or 329 meters par 4. Under those assumed meters, the X-stiff is roughly 266 meters and the others are 269 meters or 294 yds and the X-stiff 290 yards.

Fair point. The hole is a short para 4 - 280m / 306 yards. I will give the driver distance from now on. Many thanks for the feedback! 😀👍

Add 10% to metre/meter distance for YARDS

@rdar9630 Brilliant essy calculation even for me! 😍👍😀

No… 3 meters was the dispersion difference… distance difference was 85 meters for xs shaft and 55 meters for ladies from the green… 30 meters difference in distance!
