I found a Riptide Even Flow in a L flex (which is 2 down from R flex), and it is 40g which is 10g less than my current shaft. Installed the shaft into my R11 driver about 3 months ago. I don't think I'm getting much more in distance, but oh my goodness...so much more consistent and easier to swing! I'm now hitting on average 12 out of 14 fairways. Distance is somewhere around 240-250. My driver is now my favorite club. I'm 63 years old. Thanks.
Same here (in the Netherlands btw) I fitted a Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 Graphite - Wood A (50 Euro shaft) took 2 inch off from the tip and installed Cobra Adapter for my Cobra Radspeed just for fun. Put the driver onto 10.5 degree, mounted some 14 gram weight in front slot to lower spin and a 6 gram weight in the back, swingweight around D1.1 which I love. Wow... tested it on trackman indoors, compared it to Ping 430 Max 10K, Ai Smoke Max, QI10, Cobra, TSi3 ... The 3 years old Radspeed was 7-8 yards longer then the Ai Smoke which gave a little tighter dispersion. But my Radspeed drives were all left centre line, baby draw and in the fairway all except one. But man the feel and timing fits me so much better, loving it.
For people wondering about the Motore X F3, you can get it installed in a Maltby driver for ~$280. That's for the whole club; head, shaft, grip. If you're looking to try out this shaft it's not a terrible deal.
I listened to the video from a year or so ago, and did end up with a Fujikura 47 g senior flex shaft. I've been playing it for over a year and my golf partners asked this what did you change in your driver, as you're hitting it at least 20 yards longer. And I will add, I've hit more fairways too. Best driving I've done in my life. I adapted to the shaft pretty quickly and I think what happens is you are forced to lag and hold your hands off longer and that might be a key to why this auto flex concept works.
I have all Titleist clubs with a TRS2 Driver, but i'd NEVER pay $800 for a shaft. Thats outrageous. I was thinking about putting the Fuji Airspeeder in my Driver to test it out. I love the motore x too. I lofted my King Cobra 5 wood to 20° & put a 3 wood motore x shaft on it to mimic the specs of a Heavenwood. I absolutely love that club❤

This absolutely works! Fujikura Motore x F3 r2 flex. Actually works better than actual autoflex. DROP driver loft, or else shots will balloon with high spin and high launch. You want less loft with low spin and high launch.
This man does know what he is talking about, people get ripped off about shafts all the time. With heavy swing weighting you can make the shafts even better believe it or not. Cool video. I bought a PXG for my girlfriend with a project X cb 40 gram 5.0. She doesn’t use it, so I’m going to Superstore to put a ping tip to give it a go in my 425 Max. I’m using the Alta cb slate 50 stiff. Thanks
In club building I found that often price was a better seller than performance. The average amateur and even the better golfer’s swing wasn’t as repeatable as they thought it was. That always skewed the results and lead to a logical decision to spend money on lessons. I do think the shaft is the engine of the club when you consider performance but just like the open road most people need to drive the reliable 4 door sedan because they will never need that 700hp exotic super car. They simply need to get from tee (point A) to green (point B). Keep up the great content!!!
@@ocashflo I would say the closet thing would be the club face. Some are hotter than others to the point where they are illegal. There you go. The shaft is more like the suspension. Some people like it stiff, some like it plush. Whatever you prefer that helps you drive the way you want with the most confidence and enjoyment is the point of a shaft.
That’s pretty tacky having people dawg you for trying to save those of us who can’t afford a $800 shaft….i don’t even have that much in my iron set..so thanks for what you do 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My wife gifted me a 7 day all inclusive vacation that included resort hotel/spa/meals/drinks, a tour of the Ping Factory, a club fitting and all you could play golf in/around Scottsdale, Arizona in the early 90's where I met Mr. John Solheim. He introduced our group to the man credited with inventing and bringing to market the first graphite shafts. The Gentleman gave our group an impromptu talk about graphite shafts. I remember him being angry at how expensive graphite shafts were becoming. He said graphite shafts are inexpensive to produce no matter what Technology goes into making them. In his opinion if you are paying anything over $50.00 US Dollars for one you are getting robbed! I am sorry I don't remember his name. He was a Brilliant Man with a great sense of humor. Please be kind to others and stay safe. ✌
Accidentally experienced the autoflex feel. Tried out my daughter’s Tour Edge driver with a senior flex at the driving range couple months ago before seeing this video. Swung easy at first but took a rip at one and was surprised at the result. Straight and hit the 220yd net at the back of the range 3/4 ways up. I play x flex 60 Ventus tr red in a Ping G430max. Going have to look for a poor man’s autoflex. 👍🏾
For me Why I would go for auto flex is Very soft attack and forgiving important things is they softer & lighter so that you not going to injury your body 💓But thank again I know you trying to save people money and that is a nicest thing to do 💗💕🙇🏻♂️🥰
Thanks AJ, I had watched this video last year, saved it and have now re-watched it. You really are great. I will let you know how I make out. Take care.
I’m younger and I’ve been playing graphite shafts for more than 10+ years… I started with the MFS 115’s… then went to the Aerotech Steelfibers (great shafts, beware, they play stiffer to flex than normal) then I switched to the Recoil Prototype 110’s and finally grabbed a set of 95’s both in F4 (stiff)… There are so many good graphite iron shafts to help with elbow pain and soreness… or to add a few yards without sacrificing dispersion
Hi, love your content, but to provide constructive feedback, I think there is some nuance in this "debate". I initially thought the Autoflex shaft was pixie dust. Lighter shafts and senior flex shafts are extremely hard to time for a non-pro golfer with higher swing speeds, or amateurs who load the shaft heavily. I've played with clubs with R-Flex and Senior-Flex, and my experience is that when your tempo/timing is off, lighter and whippier shafts can be a disaster. My misses were hitting the ball into the ground and/or large dispersion (usually FORE LEFT!!!). On testing an Autoflex 505x driver shaft, I found the shaft extremely easy to time and my dispersion was as tight as my driver with a 60g X-flex, but my swing speed and ball speeds were noticeably quicker. Maybe in the future, run a test with a mid handicap golfer and compare their results in terms of swing speed, ball speed, smash factor, direction deviation and spin. Pro golfers like Mr Shortgame tend to have excellent tempo, so he's easily able to adapt to shafts with different flexes, but amateur golfers tend not to have this skill in their toolset.
I'm not dismissing your claim that the cheaper shafts can provide equal if not better results than Autoflex. I think that the above test would would provide more weight to your argument.
A golf club has a lightweight flexible shaft with a heavy block of wood or metal (called the head of the club) at the end. A golfer making a long shot off the tee uses a driver, a club whose 300 g head is much more massive than the 46 g ball it will hit. The golfer swings the driver so that the club head is moving at 43 m/s just before it collides with the ball. The collision is so rapid that it can be treated as the collision of a moving 300 g mass (the club head) with a stationary 46 g mass (the ball); the shaft of the club and the golfer can be ignored.
Wow that's crazy! I can't wait for you to get the Elite Golf school going....I definitely want to attend this and learn more about this...and who knows....?
Loved the video, thanks. What would be a good substitute for the red or blue Ventus driver shaft? I am looking to launch it higher with not as much spin. Any thoughts? My swing speed is less than 90 mph. Thanks in advance. 6 handicap golfer.
I just ordered a F3 6R I know it’s not exactly the correct one but hopefully it’s close! Fingers crossed I have a stealth HD head love TaylorMade drivers but always fade biased, I’m hoping this softer flex will help neutralize/ draw my ball flight
Mr. Short game was playing the wrong autoflex shaft ..at his swing speed he should have been using at least a 505X. His autoflex results may have been much better…!! Great video ,please try again with the 505 x or 505xx I have been using the autoflex and moving up or down the flex range makes a huge difference.. The autoflex is also extremely dependant on head weight…did you find the optimum head weight?
I pulled my senior riptide out of my pxg 3 wood for fun. Put it in my Black Ops driver, so playing 3 inches shorter and was hitting some great drivers. These shafts are not for a quick tempo. I've had 2 autoflex and they were all over the place for me. I pulled out the head weights to maximize as autoflex suggested
Great Video and Info! I bought the evenflow CB 40 in seniorflex for 65€ and see if it performes similar to SF 505. I like the Autoflexshaft even it costs a bunch but gives me extra 4-5 mph Clubheadspeed compared to regular or stiff flex shafts. Downside are surly the costs and it sometimes hooks on me. Maybe the dispersion of the evenflow is a bit thighter.
The closer the alternate shaft is to the Autoflex, the closer the result will be. I think the 40 in 4.0 will be a little stiffer than the 505 so it might curb some of the hooks.
I have the fujikura motore f3 5 r2 that i got in a package deal lot and wasn't sure if it was for me due to the light weight and flex, but after you video and Mr. Shortgame video I think I need to add a new adapter for my new Callaway and give this a try. Lucky Me after looking up the price of a new one of these, about $200 which is a far cry from the Autoflex
Have you also looked at head weight. I used autoflex and got more from it when I got to a specific head weight. This left me to conclude that the tip stiffness was influenced and in the end I could use anything if the tip stiffness was in the same ball park.
The Autoflex recommends dropping head weight to get to what I would call pretty arbitrary swing weights. Like many other elements here, dropping weight will allow you to swing the club faster and gain speed not from the shaft but just from physics. It does also as you said stiffen the shaft a bit and that can help control what would otherwise be too whippet for some golfers.
Matching auto flex perfectly aside, does this concept of dropping two flexes and one weight designation yield similar result in someone’s current shaft? Or is there something in the actual profile that is the bigger deal when coupled with weight and flex?
AJ! This is really interesting. Thank you for another great video. A question: Do you know anything about the profile on Ping's Alta Quick driver shafts? Especially the 45 option. It seems to be in that senior flex, light weight, category. It comes with the HL version of the G430 but I was thinking about how it would pair with like a 9 degree Max head for a swing speed at 100 mph.
Absolutely! Of course you can. It’s a golf shaft, not a race car. I cannot stress enough the simplicity of the item in question. It’s an extremely simple item, and the materials used to produce it are also extremely low cost. People who pay $800 for a golf shaft are Low iq players, not low scoring 😂
Isn't the main selling point of the AutoFlex its "adaptive" flex/torque of the unique material? With that in mind, how do static measurements determine an "exact" replacement? This type of characteristic can only be "measured" dynamically.
I've hit old light shafts and i've hit autoflex. The XX plays unbelievably stiff through impact, it hits it dead straight (almost impossible to work). Not sure old light whippy shafts play anything like it, but always interesting videos.
It's all about finding the right match for it. The XX is stiffer so you aren't going to match up with a L flex shaft for example. You would need something stiffer to go against that version.
That Motore F3 isn't even the aftermarket one, it's the one that came stock in Cobra drivers (ZL Encore), the Motore F3 came in 60 -70- 80 and 95 HB, not 55.
I had a heck of a time finding a good spec sheet on that shaft and that is probably why. That said, this is even better for the argument if a "made for" shaft can provide similar results. Although I am not sure if this Motore was a made for or a repaint/repurpose Fuji shaft?
This genuinely works. I have an average club speed of 105 and ball 158. Normally use an x flex. Bought the riptide even flow and it jumped to 110 and 165. I never tried such a flexible shaft due to the usual fluff pros give about matching up to swing speed. One thing for me that was important was to use a pretty chunky grip - think this was to maybe help balance the swing weight?
Great video. AF has great marketing and what they sell works for many.. at a price. Thanks for the comparisons, butt and tip flex/frequency weight should allow a similar comparison. After watching some long drive guys builds I got hooked on a light flexible 48” combination and gained a lot of distance (after a lot of practice with this setup) I use a Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue 45 “A” flex $45 in a Ping g400 LST adjusted to 6 degree and get great launch and spin numbers. While maybe not for everyone I like it!!
AJ it’s been a while since I posted last but getting ready for a better year coming up!!! So hear goes, went to the KE4 Max driver from Maltby with the adjustable hosel, so played the UL shaft it came with and now I ordered another adapter and the Project X Riptide CB in A flex 40 grams with now hitting a lot high center and more towards the heal, I’m thinking maybe I should have tipped it 1/2 inch to a inch, what would be your thoughts on this??
It would have been interesting to see his results against the ventus red 6x he got fitted at fujikura and currently plays. Curious if he tried the motore f3 at half the ventus price.
Really interested in trying this. Currently have a Aldila ROGUE White 130 M.S.I. in the 60 Stiff. Is the Evenflow Riptide CB in the 40 Senior what I should be looking for? Thanks, really like your videos.
Wasn’t the thought process behind the Autoflex was To go around 46-48” build ? Right now I play a 55g Reg Tensei Orange. Hit it well. Would worry about dispersion going 10g lighter, L flex and 47” or longer
Brilliant video as always. Is there a way to send you questions that you (perhaps) could answer? I have a few questions regarding iron steel shafts. Keep up the good work!
How would you co.pare the Fujikura airspeeder to the Autoflex? I read online it's Fujikura's version of the Autoflex, and another UA-camr compared them, and they were similar, but that was more of a subjective type of comparison. So im wondering what your thoughts are about it
I`m now using the EvenFlow Riptide CB 40 5.0 in my driver with 105-108Mph club head speed. Which shaft should I use for my 3Wood? What swing weight would you play?
Question: I see a Riptide Even flow in lady flex 4.0. Would you recommend this to a senior to try? Also, are there a lot of fakes out there of the Autoflex shaft-type shafts you recommend here? Thanks. Love your recommendations. You are terrific.
Might be a stupid question but I understand what you are saying in regards to moving down 2 flexes, I currently swing a regular so I would potentially move down to a ladies. My question is; isn’t there a risk of the shaft breaking from the extra swing speed beyond what it is rated for? I’m not a monster driver but average 225 and the ladies is rated almost 80 yards shorter from what I’m seeing online, am I misunderstanding something here?
I want to start doing some of my own regripping etc....what's a good shaft clamp for my vise and where can I get one? you don't have an old one lying around do you? :D.
Great info. Does torque play into this at all? Also just in general, I’m starting to hear grumblings that the traditional shaft flex to swing speed ideas aren’t necessarily the case any longer. Do you have any thoughts on that?
Torque values were all in the 4 to 5.2 or so range with these shafts. Did not show any influence to my eye. Low torque is really only important with hard loading swings. Autoflex is usually not a great candidate for those sorts of golfers to start with.
Are you sure you don't mean the EF CB 5.0 5R? Which is 52 grams and still 6 grams less than the Motore? The CB 40 5.0 is only 45 grams. The 505x and xx are both in 50s. Can't imagine any hitter at 105+ ss hitting a 45 gram shaft and certainly dont see how it compares to the Motore.
Motore X is readily available. The F3 5 R2 would be the closest match I believe. I plan on testing it against the old Motore I used in an upcoming video.
Love the video! Thinking of trying this out. Currently gaming project x 6.5 60g. Should I go down to 5.5 40g or 5.0 40g? Thanks for your help! Great videos!
Great Videos mobile clubmakers golf! PXG has a sale on 0211 drivers with riptide shafts. I have a Swingspeed between 95-100 mph. Can you recommend if i should get the L flex to try to copy the Autoflex?? I use stiff tensie blue right now at 44.75 which i hit pretty good.
Hi AJ, Question, some of the long drives guys are using 40 gram shafts. Not sure of the flex. Kind of whippy, ( not sure that’s a word), would that work for a 100MPH swing speed? Thoughts? And thank you. Great channel.
Enjoyed the video and the Mr Short Game one I have a question I use a True Temper Project X EvenFlow White T1100 65 with my Sim2 max I love the feel but is a little heavy what would be a good lighter option?
When you built the riptide shaft did you do any special tip trimming? When I tested the AutoFlex shaft and compared it to my gamer I was surprised with its accuracy. I’ve thought about testing a lighter shaft and dropping from an Xflex down to regular but tipping the shaft 1-2 inches to see if it’s possible to retain a tighter strike pattern as the autoflex strike pattern was twice as large as my tour ad VR at the same shaft length. I never miss in the heel but I missed low heel to high toe with the autoflex as opposed to center to high toe miss with my gamer. I thought this might be to shaft droop from a weaker tip section.
PX shaft was straight in, butt cut only. It was a good bit stiffer than the 505 he was hitting. The PX would be a good match against the 505xx I am sure. As far as misses go, this idea clearly won't work for everyone. Some swings will not jive with a light flexible shaft and need something more heavy and rigid. However if the Autoflex is a good match for your swing, then these other shafts I highlighted will also provide similar results. Remember tipping a shaft only changes flex slightly. One inch of tipping = 1/2 a flex move up.
So you might need to drop a lot more than 2 weight classes with the irons as opposed to the driver shaft as they are also approx 50g. Depending on what your current shaft weights are. Flex I would use the same 2 flex rule as we did with the driver. I have not really seen anyone using the iron shafts so I am not sure if the flex is as exaggerated in the irons. Personally having super whippy irons would seem to cause more issues than benefits.
Hi hope you will see this . Have you been able to test the graphite design ag33 shaft? One UA-cam video compared to auto flex . The guy has a 110 mph plus speed and was using the regular and was hitting it really well. My swing speed is 100 to 103 mph and use a Ventus blue in 5s and have used the 6r and 6s. These are sub 40 grams and was wondering do I get the regular flex or the r2 flex? Possible for a review of this shaft? Also do you have any opinion on the all-fit driver adapter bc have a Taylormade and titleist driver. Thank you
Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into that shaft. Any number of shafts can accomplish the same thing as the Autoflex. All about dropping some weight and a couple flex ratings. Also want a mid to high launch profile if we are trying to get close to the Autoflex.
Hi, love your channel! Do you think the Diamana RF 50 R or the Diamana ZF 40 R2 would match the autoflex? I have 89mph driver swing speed. I wonder what bend point is the autoflex, is it mid or low bend point? Thanks
It has a very soft mid section and tip with a stiffer handle comparatively. I have found the exact profile to be less important however than the weight and flex part.
OK, riddle me this. Why can I hit parallel S300 really straight and when I use taper tip S300's they are all over the place! I have placed parallel tip in other iron heads and yep, identical performance, regardless of head. Whenever I use taper, dispersion is all over the place. I have to assume the bend profile is quite different. Parallel S300's almost feel like a lower launching version of the original classic rifle shafts. Steps a larger and the first step is much closer to the head vs taper
There are plenty of shafts that fall into that low launch profile with similar weight and flex. The fact that it is so popular on tour etc though shows it's just a really good consistent shaft. Maybe PX Smoke Black RDX or Smoke Green in similar weights would be worth a look. Fuji Atmos Tour Black is also close.
Really interesting! I'm around 106 MPH in swing speed, what kind if Riptide shaft would you recommend? According to Autoflex measurement, they suggest their 505x...What is the best option? Thank You!
To be honest, from my testing I found the Fuji Motore line seemed to have a closer feel to the Autoflex if you are trying to get that. The Riptide was a little stiffer. You might still get similar results with the right weight, but the Motore seemed closer in how it felt in the hands.
@@EFGMC I was on the verge of ordering the Auto Flex, but this has put me off. Really glad I found your review. Just to bad the Motore is so hard to find here in Sweden. I guess I'll go for the Riptide. If you don't have any other suggestion? Again, big thank you!
@@stevenholmdahl1162 50g 4.0 flex in the Riptide will be the closest if you can't find the Motore X. Have not tried it yet but I think the Fujikura Vista Pro in the lighter weights and flexes would also be a good option.

Very informative!!
I ordered the riptide shaft based on your research.
I’m anxious to give it a try. If it works it’s a steal !!
I think the alta distanza would work for the G430, I've just ordered it for my G425 max. But they are a rare find
Another great resource for shaft profile libraries is Hireko Golf. Jeff Summit has many years of all sorts of shaft profiles.
Take care.
Watched the video with Mr Shortgame and that was wild, got me interested!!!
I'm in the "shaft" interim of my golf career. I'm looking to change my iron shafts to graphite. I think it'll help my career.
I’m younger and I’ve been playing graphite shafts for more than 10+ years… I started with the MFS 115’s… then went to the Aerotech Steelfibers (great shafts, beware, they play stiffer to flex than normal) then I switched to the Recoil Prototype 110’s and finally grabbed a set of 95’s both in F4 (stiff)…
There are so many good graphite iron shafts to help with elbow pain and soreness… or to add a few yards without sacrificing dispersion
Thanks for the info. I would think most people really don't know the bend points and flexibility of their shafts.
I am a big fan of " Fugikura " I have a 60 gram shaft on my Cobra Driver.
Would be interesting to hear about the torque specs on these shafts...
This is crazy. Evenflow Red and Auto are my favorite shafts.
Would love to see you do a similar video with the Bgt Brava. They're website doesn't giveaway bend profiles just weight and torque
can't find the Motore X F3 anywhere...
I have a long drive club Krank 6* head with a graffalloy blue 45 regular
It’s fun ;)
Wow that's crazy! I can't wait for you to get the Elite Golf school going....I definitely want to attend this and learn more about this...and who knows....?
Got the keys today. Now have to start moving in and setting up!
Fantastic Video AJ. Thanks. All your videos are so informative.
Thats it. Im buying Ladies flex shafts for my woods.
I play a 45 gram shaft that cost $40 and I'm crushing it.
What flex are you using? I'm in a stiff 65 gram shaft and thinking about trying this.
Fingers crossed
I have a stealth HD head love TaylorMade drivers but always fade biased, I’m hoping this softer flex will help neutralize/ draw my ball flight
How did you like the F3 60R? I literally just grabbed one off the Bay to compare to my Fubuki V60S and my Aldila Ascent 60S…
Mr. Short game was playing the wrong autoflex shaft ..at his swing speed he should have been using at least a 505X.
His autoflex results may have been much better…!!
Great video ,please try again with the 505 x or 505xx
I have been using the autoflex and moving up or down the flex range makes a huge difference..
This type of characteristic can only be "measured" dynamically.
its so weird that the autoflex shaft is conforming but a highcor driver like Kranks XX fire is not.
Just grabbed a Motore F3 Regular shaft for my TSR2… let’s see who wins when compared to my Fubuki V60 and my Aldila Ascent 60…
Can’t wait!
The grip is probably where you saw the jump from. You just took off quite a bit of swingweight with it if it’s really big.
@@aleksilepisto7282 I’ve been using chunky grips before this change
youre the man! subscription earned!
Your comment prompted me to get the same shaft for my stealth.
R flex with the head at 6* has been incredible.
Great video! Sound quality is great!
I try. Hoping when I move into the new space I can get the audio even better. Fingers crossed.
Excellent video AJ, gunna have to tinker with this concept!!
Let me know what you do and how it works.

Thanks, really like your videos.
perfect, great shaft
Wasn’t the thought process behind the Autoflex was To go around 46-48” build ? Right now I play a 55g Reg Tensei Orange. Hit it well. Would worry about dispersion going 10g lighter, L flex and 47” or longer
Brilliant video as always. Is there a way to send you questions that you (perhaps) could answer? I have a few questions regarding iron steel shafts. Keep up the good work!

So a year later I wonder if this applies to the BRAVA as well??
How would you co.pare the Fujikura airspeeder to the Autoflex? I read online it's Fujikura's version of the Autoflex, and another UA-camr compared them, and they were similar, but that was more of a subjective type of comparison. So im wondering what your thoughts are about it
I`m now using the EvenFlow Riptide CB 40 5.0 in my driver with 105-108Mph club head speed. Which shaft should I use for my 3Wood? What swing weight would you play?
Same flex but one weight class heavier for a 3 wood. Probably drop the SW a couple points.
Question: I see a Riptide Even flow in lady flex 4.0. Would you recommend this to a senior to try? Also, are there a lot of fakes out there of the Autoflex shaft-type shafts you recommend here? Thanks. Love your recommendations. You are terrific.
That 4.0 would be good I think. Would be the same idea as I discussed in the video.
Great video!
Would you happen to know which club/brand put the Fujikura F3 on their drivers?
Cobra was one. May have been others.
@@EFGMC I'll look for other shafts with the same specs; light/sr., 40-45grams, high launch and low spin.
Bit late in the day but can you advise the butt and tip configurations for these shafts.
What is your current weight and flex you are using?
Couldnt find it for 50 bucks, $250 was the cheapest I saw. Btw, can you specify a shaft for me? Didnt know if you sold shafts or not. Thx.
I do. Email me

I swing 95-100nph. Any thoughts on Maltby UL for an Autoflex poor man’s version?
Thanks and keep up the great work.
I haven't tried it. If it fits the weight and flex rules, then I don't see why not.
I have been looking for new shafts in my driver , 3 wood and 5 wood should you use the same shaft for each club.
Could you recommend an iron shaft that is simular to the autoflex iron shafts?
Are you sure you don't mean the EF CB 5.0 5R? Which is 52 grams and still 6 grams less than the Motore? The CB 40 5.0 is only 45 grams. The 505x and xx are both in 50s. Can't imagine any hitter at 105+ ss hitting a 45 gram shaft and certainly dont see how it compares to the Motore.
@mobileclubmaker. Where can I find that matore shaft? Or what new version to buy?
Motore X is readily available. The F3 5 R2 would be the closest match I believe. I plan on testing it against the old Motore I used in an upcoming video.
So what specs would I be looking at in the Motore F3 or the EF CB if my swing speed is 90 mph? Your average swinger.
Love the video! Thinking of trying this out. Currently gaming project x 6.5 60g. Should I go down to 5.5 40g or 5.0 40g? Thanks for your help! Great videos!
Could go either way. The 5.0 from my experience was stiffer than the Fuji shafts I used so I think the 5.0 would be more Autoflexy.
That would be the closest match to the 505 Autoflex which is what they would recommend for your swing speed.
Hi AJ, Question, some of the long drives guys are using 40 gram shafts. Not sure of the flex. Kind of whippy, ( not sure that’s a word), would that work for a 100MPH swing speed? Thoughts? And thank you. Great channel.
Yes, that's the idea here. Pick a shaft that is both lighter and more flexible than you would otherwise be fit into.
@@EFGMC Thanks AJ.
Mr. Short Game has the feel and ability to adjust his swing to the feel of the shaft.
90% of us can't do that
I would argue many people can, only difference is the amount of time it takes to adapt to the change.
I have a question. Its weight is indicated on the shaft, for example 85 grams. Is it weight per meter?
Is the autoflex shaft, the same as uniflex of late 90’s?
Its been a nightmare trying to find that white F3 lite shaft
Enjoyed the video and the Mr Short Game one I have a question I use a True Temper Project X EvenFlow White T1100 65 with my Sim2 max I love the feel but is a little heavy what would be a good lighter option?
The Riptide CB is actually pretty similar and has weights in the 50g range. It's also counterbalanced so it might feel even lighter to you.
Where is the link for the guy who measures the bend points on the shafts you recommended

Thanks. Keep up the good work. I am a fellow youtuber.
Nice!! How about the Paderson Kinetixx velocity?? Heard AF copied this shaft
Going to have to research that. Not sure??
AJ, what’s your thought on applying same idea with the Autoflex iron shafts vs other shafts you can think ?
Biggest difference is going to be the descending weight in a set of parallel tip shafts.
Hi, love your content! What then would be the alternative to the all mighty Ventus Black? Is there any old school shaft that can match its performance
@ Mobile Clubmaker Golf - Do you adjust the Swingweight after you add the ultralight shaft?
Yes, if you are following what Autoflex says to do.
