    I've been fasting for 94-96 hours over the past 12 weeks. In other words, for the past 90 days, I've eaten 24 meals. The results... 47 pounds of body fat GONE. 2/29/24 240lbs. 6/1/24 190lbs. Fasting + Cardio + Strength Training is powerful if you want to cut excess body fat almost overnight. It takes tons of mental discipline and is definitely not for everyone.

    After years of dirty bulking, sizing up to 300lbs, and messing up over and over again, I came to realize that doing 48 hrs fasting on Sundays to reboot mentally and physically, then two meals a day throughout the week gets my body right and looking tight 👌🏽. This is the first official confirmation from a muscle dude to approve this, I just need to know the perfect balance on how to grow lean muscle doing it.

    Awesome video, I started 1 meal per day between 4-6pm last year I went from 225 to 200 in 1 month, 2nd month 190. I'm maintaining at 180 right now and am in the best shape of my life, I have passed everyone I use to look up to at the gym and they now ask me wtf I'm doing to loose weight LOL... I read "How to eat to live" by the honorable Elija Muhammad and this book changed my life, just like you say your body needs time to digest each meal 24hrs so if you eat multiple times your body is always digesting and unable to fight disease and illness. Everything you say is true and I hope they listen to you.... Respect

      @ronzos6556 when you break your fast eat like 4-5 eggs, I don't care what anyone says you can never have too many eggs, a cup of rice, try not to go too heavy on the rice tho, salmon, and some kimchi which is great for gut health. That always works for me. I eat that at around evening say like 8pm. Sometimes I'll break my fast at about 2 or 3pm and have two meals just lunch and dinner. I almost never have 3 meals anymore and I feel great. Leave the fast food and the sweets alone and try not to neglect fruits and vegetables. And if you're gonna cheat on your diet don't do whole cheat days. Have one cheat meal like every 3 weeks💯

    Good preaching Mike. There are proven benefits to fasting and how it works wonders for the body. I personally lately have been starting my day with a black cup of coffee and a protein shake with coconut oil added to it. I wouldn't actually eat until later in the day. I keep myself hydrated as well during the day and I've definitely began to notice the difference with my weight and energy. I haven't been craving junk as much and I've been told that I look younger at 40. I'm also definitely keeping myself physically in in working condition with resistance training and cardio.

    This makes sense. I’m always practicing intermittent fasting. I’m just so confused on the whole, if I need my bodyweight in protein, the whole 1 g per pound of bodyweight ; so much research is showing that it’s beneficial to us , and eating a Mediterranean style diet. I do want to keep building muscle at the age of 41 but sometimes I feel better when I intermittent fast, I’ll be experimenting with everything.

      You don’t need 1g per lb of body weight. Break it down like this. If someone puts on 10 lbs of muscle in a year and you have 448 grams of protein per lbs of lean tissue then body is only converting 4480 grams in a year which is about 13 grams per day.

      @@ChrisMoses-kl1is everyone’s body, health, and physical requirements are unique so I will only speak for myself.
      As of late I’m doing 1 larger meal around sundown after I’ve completed an intense workout (this is the best time for your body/muscles to absorb nutrients for recovery). This will include a salad about every other day. Regardless, this meal should be a very well balanced/complete meal. Good carbs, healthy fat, lean protein, vitamins/minerals, and fiber. Including some peanuts and a protein shake could work, around a complete meal.
      I maybe eat a very small amount of fruit in the morning when I wake up, natural sugar is important for brain function in the morning. The fiber will help hold the appetite a bit throughout the day, it won’t spike your blood sugar because it’s natural sugar, and fruit is pretty low calorie.

    Bro I’ve ran SEVERAL marathons and no and I mean ABSOLUTELY no one has explained Fasting so simple the way you did.
    I’ve started training for a Murph, but what I’ve noticed while lifting weights early in the morning while fasted is that I feel LIGHTHEADED. My first meal of the day isn’t usually until 1pm. My body type is of an Endomorph. Any advice?

    But arent you supposed to eat at least 1g of protein per pound of your body weight as a weight lifter? You probably weigh 220 pounds and only eat 1 meal per day?

      Eat at a time that best suits your schedule. The beauty of fasting is that you get to make the rules. How long you fast, when you break your fast

    How does this work for type 2 diabetes

    • @optimuspremo
      @optimuspremo 4 місяці тому

      I don’t usually do,this but I saw your question and since I have Type 2 Diabetes and I am also doing this I can say for me it works. It helps me concentrate on what I am going to eat and what I am eating , making sure it is something I can live with. Let’s be honest and say most people don’t have their ‘sugars’ under control because it’s hard especially when the ‘buffet’ is open. But this approach has given my body and my mind ‘new’ perspective both physically and metaphysically. If you are training and trying to get into form…sugars ain’t going down with 3 squares plus a snack in a 24hr period. Just ain’t going to happen. Fasting has allowed my body to ‘purge’ so to speak so I meet my morning number at around 80-97. I also have invested in gaining knowledge of different homemade teas and such for any time I get the ‘urge to break back into bad habits. also if you are taking meds and you are fasting you should be able to see what happens when you don’t take meds associated with eating. Like your meds are supposed to help you yes but fasting is helping yourself. Hope that helps

    what do we as ectomorphs do? can we do a fasting regimen while trying to gain muscle?

    • @robelmekonnen1564
      @robelmekonnen1564 4 місяці тому

      Yes because at the end of the day it's calories in, calories out. If you want to gain muscle you have to eat more calories than what you're burning. So if you're able to eat enough food in your feeding window to be in a calorie surplus, you will gain weight and muscle.
